I would very much like to hear what host options you guys would like be able to toggle on the hosting sreen.

In Deathmatches/LTSs/Captures some of the host options I'd really like to have are...

The ability to change the Forced Weapon

(The Creator could select a few secondary forced weapons to be choosen) or maybe allow the host to pick the forced weapon from one of the various pickups on the map.

Headshot Kills Only <On/Off>

Helmets <On/Off/On for Everyone/Damage Protection off(on visually)>

Vehicle Access <On/Off>

Pistol-whipping/Meele attacks<On/Off>

Radar <On/Off/Player Icons Hidden>

What about you guys, would you enjoy these options being added?

Removing the radar would be great and make deathmatches worth it and fun. Not sure about the others although the helmet thing does seem to piss people off. I mean, I love it but I got a bullet in my damn nose and I should be dead.

Also I believe there should defo be a quicker way of muting people. Before,during and after a job.

 

Like when pulling down the scoreboard there should be button dedicated to it when highlighted on the player you want muted.

 

It costs me a kill or two usually when I try to mute some random high pitched kid or dumbass during a job and is not a valid option on races at all.

 

Best case scenario would be to allow the host the option to <mute for everyones sake> and if someone in the job wants to unmute the dodgy mic/loudmouth player for what ever reason. They have to select unmute for themselves(then they can be the only person/s to hear the muted player)

GTA IV host options:

 

weather, location, cops, friendly fire, weapons. It was perfect. Friendly fire off with rockets at the airport was the most fun you could have in any online game, trust me. People were flying around, ragdoll bodies in the sky. Good times. If we could have a cops option for lobbies I would be so happy (insert Butters here). For game modes, though? Option to turn off radar is probably the one I want the most. Option for blips like GTA IV where they can be seen from far away but once you get near them on the map they disappear. That would be awesome.

Would also enjoy it if R* could implement an option on the online menu to automatically mute players over a certain level of pitch.

 

Allowing you to automatically mute all the high pitched squeakers with ease.

I agree, good ideas :^:

 

 

The ability to turn off the colour changing filters would be good (kill streak, losing streak, BST) or just for them to be taken out the game altogether.

Yes, I'm the host and I should be able to kick any players who decide to turn their mic on after the host screen only to talk trash or make loud noises and ruin a whole team or everyones time. The worst is with God-Moders needing votes to get them kicked, wtf!

Forgot about that, great idea. I would also like to force effects at the start of jobs, get them Stoned or Drunk before it starts, that would be a laugh and not to hard to be added as all the effects are in the game anyway.

I loved how Red Dead Redemption would actually count "headshots" in the category next to kills, deaths and assists. You could compare with other players who got the most head.

Disallowing players from seeing each other on the radar will make games a lot more unnecessarily static and long-drawn in my opnion. It encourages camping and more of a "hide-and-seek" style of gameplay rather than actually shooting and killing.

 

 

I'd like to make a suggestion as well for a host option when setting up a DM/LTS. It's more so a mechanic than an option, but I'd like the ability to set area boundries around the place where the DM/LTS is taking place. Like, set up a perimeter that'll disallow players from leaving the DM/LTS, possibly killing them and deducting their points by 1 if they try to break through it. Driving away from a DM/LTS because you're afraid of dying in a video game shouldn't be allowed.

Helmets are causing some issues atm for me and my head-shooting chums, people argue we should all just wear them to make it fair, others saying take them off! No one ever agrees on this game it seems, this would let the host choose. I'd pick OFF or Visual Only

 

Pistol whippings very annoying, especially on CQC maps...at close range. I'd turn them OFF

 

Agree with you about the radar, but still I've seen people.wanting it, So what's the harm in having an option for it. I'd have it turned ON 90% of the time thou.

 

It's always good to have more options than not and sometimes it helps to move about the current options to suit your DMs. Eg turning on Forced+Pickups on a map on a ranch to assure no ones pulling miniguns out of barns, etc

I would appreciate being able to mute people a lot easier for sure, more weapon options too, maybe just owned assault rifles, or owned pistols etc, goes without saying those screen filters would have to go too.

The ability to set the exact type of weather(Lightning) and exact time would be sweet. But not as important as the Insta-Kick and setting a button on the scoreboard/host screen to mute people quickly.

 

What else could there be?
