the other day i robbed a 24/7 store and the clerk pulled a smg on me, i killed him with my mg.

is that something new r* added?

i thought they only used shotguns??

Pretty much. It was introduced as part of one of the earlier updates.

since 1.16 store clerks have acces to guns that are sold at amunation

that includes the minigun :)

Combat MG, smg, combat pistol and the pump shotgun is the weapons I usually encounter when the man behind the counter tries to stop me. I always aim at him to make sure he wont kill me as I exit the store. :)

If they say "there goes the family vacation" they will pull a gun

 

If they say "I really need insurance" they will have a gun next time

 

If they say "I know the drill" they have a chance of getting out a gun as it happened to them before.

dont aim a gun at them when they say that and they will pull out an smg, shotgun, combat pistol or maybe even a combat MG

It gets interesting when the clerk grows a pair a starts fighting back. Be wary of shotgun always, be wary of minigun only if you give the clerk enough time to follow you outside.

 

If you don't want the chance for clerk retaliation, just pop a shot close to his head or in his arm/hand after the robbery and he will run like hell.

Their weapons definitely vary, I once got wasted by a store clerk with a Combat MG lol. Don't underestimate them, you're better off shooting them in the head before they try anything clever.

I shoot them in the torso.

It knocks them down, but doesn't kill them. Then I can bitch-run out safely, and still only get two stars.

It's rare, but I've had it twice. It's funny at first cuz he tries shooting thru the counter, and then he gets all jumpy trying to aim and move back there. I rob quite a few stores so if you haven't seen it yet, I don't blame you.

Plus not worth getting 3 stars of Terminator cops, just for a few Ps&Qs, especially considering the crapola payout compared to a 5 minute mission.

I noticed this for quite some time now. I actually love that they are allowed to have gun access. It gives off a great sensation when robbing stores. The other day my friend and I were in a invite only sessions with 5 other friends. We made a Boondocks scene. You know the one in season 1. Which was quite funny. I was like yeah you want to pull out a gun. Okay, let's play. Us 6 were basically in 6 different stores when we did this and we all started to really have a blast with the sales person in the gas station. Shot them, robbed them, and ran back to our cars. Then you know the rest. :)
