what was wrong with quick match when it imdeiatly put you in a lobby why do i have to stand around and wait to be put in a lobby ???

A rubbish feature so you can play in Free Roam an then suddenly be whisked away into a job you have no idea what you are going into. Then finding out its a rubbish created content full of jumps and blue walls.

Use On Call only for Contact Job.

 

Use On Call for Deathmatch and you will get fist fight sh*t and trap cage.

 

Use On Call for Race and you will get jumpy track and bullsh*t 'creative' creation.

Because it makes little difference. It takes a minute at most to go from "on call" to "in a random mission that you don't like".

 

What are you going to do in free mode for (what might only be) a minute?

 

/in b4 someone says "wank"

 

Waste of time/resources/effort. Stay in free or go to the missions you want to play.

 

What's R* going to gift us with next? A menu option for shoelaces/velcro? Sandcastle buckets for the beach? A committee to count the moon?

They did not remove the ability to jump straight in though, I agree, there needs better filtering options on jobs (even a veto list) but the method of joining is not the problen

The on call feature is great for when you want to be thrown into a crappy lobby of randoms that leave at the last second leaving you alone to complete a 6 player mission by yourself.

 

I dig it.

I always join a full lobby, host and send invites. Not only do I get a better chance of getting a full mission/job session, but I can kick anyone with a mic who I immediately dislike:

 

- squeakers

- people playing music/shouting

- anyone with "Joker" as part of their username

I find on call for contact missions to be fantastic. I'm not sure if it matchmakes any better but it tends to be a better calibre of players and not the screw ups I used to end up with.. I'd rather be driving about for a few minutes than sat watching a mission lobby fill up, get one space near full and everyone leave because they're board and the process begins again.

 

Death matches and races are a different kettle of fish, they're usually some loser created one skewed in favour of who made it.

I hate waiting in a loby 5-10min for said job to start

I guess it was made for me.

You can still host missions you want via the start menu, and you can still kick people you don't want to play with.

How did this feature affect you in a negative way?

It would make way too much sense to set up on-call lists just for jobs or races that you want. Therefore, such a feature will not be implemented. :p

This, since the latest update I can now use it for Darts, Golf etc and have played more than ever.

I love on call, I always use it now. Last night got on hit the on call for the play list, drove around for a bit then bam into a virtually full lobby and off you go. I always hit an on call for a contact mission, once you are in a session I find that you then stick together and just go from mission to mission.

Very rare I have been the host but for deathmatches I get the 1,000,000,000,000 RP created ones.

I've never had a problem with it. Might get a BS job from time to time but there's this nifty little trick called quitting that you can do.

I only use it for contact missions, and I like it.

 

It hasn't worked since it was implemented in 1.16, bout time they fixed it...

I actually would prefer that. I wish all jobs could be done solo.
