1 on 1 Deathmatch - WTF

Has it always been the case, that when you go into a 1 on 1 DM with another player, they can invite a crew member into the session, and that member can come in with a tank ?

 

Kind of defeats the purpose, and all it does is make both players look like complete pussy's.

1 on 1 DM is pretty much the stupidest thing in this game. A simple "Onlythe2peoplecanseeANDkilleachother" mechanic would fix it roght up, but....

On top of which, the only time I'm ever challenged to a 1 on 1 DM is when I'm beating up on someone...uh, dude, I just killed you four straight times, I call that a deathmatch already.

No.When you accept a 1 v 1 dm,your minimap will only show the player you're fighting with,other players will be hidden on the map.Probably his crew member saw the killfeed and came along with a tank,that's all.

If that's the case - it's not a 1 v 1 deathmatch.

Nah never happened to me. The guy I do a one on one deathmatch with. Both crews are respectful and let us do our things.

You can have a 1v1 vehicle deathmatch. As long as both parties are in vehicles when the initial kill happens and the deathmatch is instated before respawning, you'll both have the vehicles again after every death. Works with tanks jets and buzzards as far as I know. Haven't tested it post 1.17 but that's how it's always been as far as I know. That's one of the only reason I like the option.

That's fine, however my initial 1 v 1 was a "normal" one - both on foot etc.

If I shot you and you want revenge, my icon is blinking. It's easy to find me, unless I go off the radar. It's already a one on one once you've decided you want payback. People use the one on one to get an unfair advantage from crew members so I never accept the one on one death match. It's the perfect griefing tool if a crew wants to gang up on one person but is useless for actual 1v1. It is dumb, but it's there so accept it or ignore it. I always ignore it.

1 on 1 deathmatches got ruined the moment R* allowed to cops to react to the action.

 

back in the day, you would start a 1on1 and for the duration of the deathmatch cops would not react.

 

too bad they changed that.
