what is the point of a second character?

To me personally it makes no sense,

I would find it useful if you didn't have to level your 2nd character.

Even the banks are tied together,

Surely it could've been extended to lvls to.

Anyone want to indulge me to the uses of a secondary character that I maybe unaware of?

Well some people like to walk around with a pussy between there legs and some people like to walk around with a dick , You cant have both, so that's why you can make more then one character

Just like making another character in any game, a fresh start.

If they shared levels it would be boring. I'm level 266 on my main, and 77 on my second.

Well put.

Also can do with racial differences and people making characters based off of other characters.

For the different choices of clothes and outfits, I would say as one reason. Some have a male and a female character for this reason.

-Two people (e.g family members) playing on the same console

-Roleplay

-Male/female characters

-Extra garage storage

Is this The Guy?

I tried my hardest to make my main character look like me, and for my second character, well, I always wanted to know what it was like to be black.

Because the first one, the chick is ugly and you're sick of looking her ass. So made a white girl LOL

It's not hard to fathom, not everyone plays the game to RANK UP lol.. Maybe they want another 2 garages? I use to have to have one character for racing and the other for f*cking around.

Maybe people are paranoid and think Rockstar might do a money swipe and for whatever chance/reasoning/luck/ they might miss the second characters pocket money?

Lol could be anything

The main reasons why I created my second character were to have more garage space and to have an alternate persona. I've always wanted to have an otaku girl as my character.

But it is boring to slog through the grindfest gtao has become.

To get to 120 again would be like hitting my erection with a hammer.

Exactly. Especially for role player. I have my main guy 292 white eastern european son of Niko.

My alt is 120 black guy I tried to make look like a haitian from Vice city as theyre my fav gta gang of all time.

Gf account has a female lvl 50 something.

I made an asian looking guy. As asian as possible parent options suck for this because I like the Yakuza games and asian gangs in gta. Wu Zee being one of my all time favs.

Plus I have access to like 70 cars. None are doubled up either.

Lots of reasons.

Well put.

Its for men who like to play as females when they're tired of feeling macho and intrepid, and want to get more in touch with their frilly side.

Your character looks like a tranny,

I could see why you would wanna make an alternative to that.

It's more boring to not be working towards a goal (i.e. after lv120). So, for precisely that reason, a second 'start afresh' character can provide more challenge (e.g. lower health and weaker starting weapons) and spice up the gameplay, especially if you elect to play the character differently.

I was using this guide to make her. I had the same settings as this person, but my grandparents were different since I wanted lighter skin.

I guess the grandparents you chose did matter?

Because I want 20 more cars, and to be able to play as a dude as well, especially for the male limited edition content.

You don't know what a grindfest really is until you play Destiny.

I made a second character recently. Just wanted extra garages and to see what it was like. Gotta say the second character is a very spoiled compared to my first one. Got an apt on Alta with a 10 car garage, an entity, nice wardrobe and the special carbine and bullpup right off the bat. He was born Oct 1st and with the help of double rp LTS is already a level 27. My first character was still homeless at level 27 living out of his Gauntlet lol.

For me, it was to have a female character - no point having two of the same gender.

Also, it was fun to go back as a lowbie but with some experience - you tend to be a lot more efficient the second time around.

But double-unlocks is a huge pain in the @ss - my second character is about rank 135 and still doesn't have all the racing unlocks. THAT should cross characters as well as money and crew rank.

Pretty much you need TOO much time on your hands to appreciate a second character, and you love the game. I love the game but wouldn't have the time to justify any of the "reasons" posted. I could use the garage slots, but I can't get the cars from that character so it's futile. And car upgrades are specific.

My only character is 255, and has been that level for months now. Since I played on Xbox at launch too (I played on both system because of "friends") one character is level 30. If I would have stayed with it though, and not be a busy beaver outside of the game, it would ONLY then make sense to have two characters.

You were given two characters and can choose between two genders. One is a male, another one is a female, anyone with common sense will create two character.Besides, male and female have different clothes and cutscenes.

Nothing really left for my main character at level 220, so started my second. Did RP missions with friends to about level 50, then nothing but death matches after that. Now my second character is level 150 and Im back to playing with my main. Wish the rest of the slots were open so I could do it again, but I wouldnt bother with the car unlocks again, even swapping wins it is too much of a grind.

I made a second character last December to have an extra garage to store "Adder Bonds", since then I primarily use said second character.

Having different genders and/or races

You can have more vehicles of different types

You can have more properties in different locations

You can launder your hacked gifted money to buy adder bonds

I've had 2 from when I started playing, one of each gender but I played exclusively with my girl character until she was over 120 then I started with my guy, she's still ahead in ranks at 200.

I use my second character for racing and to play as a white guy. He has the best cars for each racing class and the extra skits are saved for selling Oracles and Ballers.

Good question OP. I only made my second character to hold some Adder Bonds. Clothing & cutscenes are really the only other reasons I could see someone making another character. Unless you're one of "those" guys.
