don ovdi' island Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) Twice since the 1.17 update, I've been tossed into some weird single player mode playing as my online character. It has all the elements of single player that you don't see online: Single player car damage Single player car spawns (taxis, crown vic police cruiser, rumpo vans, busses, etc) more traffic Being able to actually pause the game ambulances and fire trucks driving with lights and sirens no dynasty realtor signs in front of properties animals - a security guard and a dog just passes me on foot, rats and other rodents cops chasing people glitchy part: You play as your online character phone is accessible until you select quick job, the phone will disappear and not come back nothing on the radar/map yellow "special ability bar" appears on bottom by armor and health bars cannot use interaction menu or quick animations cannot enter properties. you have no money holding down on the d-pad reveals that you are on your online character, but if you select it again it will take you to normal online oh, and if ya die the game crashes. This always happens after a "Unable to connect to session because of unknown network error - Return to GTA V." message, instead of taking me to single player it takes me to some weird morphed session. I took some pics and even a video but it was on my phone IRL and i don't have a cable to import them. Have seen this before. SeaWallTx Posted October 5, 2014 Share Posted October 5, 2014 I want to bring a car over from Online into story mode, I have wanted to since day one, I want to find the HEX codes for the Crew Emblem and Crew Colors, then we could figure out some pretty cool stuff with them, but I have to first get one the Online PVs into Story Mode and store it. Specifically only after i get a "Disconnected due to unknown network error return to GTA V" message. After pressing X to return to single player it takes me to this different dimension. and thanks to AllanSK8 for posting pics. Never thought to see what the ability would be. But there was no blue mission circles on the map and I didn't hang out long to see what I could do. I was stuck in my Apartment after it happened to me (oddly enough my 2nd Apartment when I was set to spawn in 1st) and could not get out and roam around as my Online character... You couldnt imagine my disappointment as I tried to make my character wipe out on purpose. And no tazer? Like I said, Rockstar hates their customers. My first thought after I realised I was playing as my Online character Offline was to buy a Cargobob. As soon as I tried to bring up the in-game internet on my iFruit I lost the ability to bring up the iFruit again altogether. As I was stuck in my Online apartment I then walked to the Heist Planning Room (which also had the random NPC in my chair they patched out of Online) and tried to use the Laptop to access the Internet but it would not load either... Rockstar doesn't hate their customers. You are going way off base,Two times in a row. I wanted to have my online character function like it does in sp. Not in online, Just solo rampage in the sp setting. Forced wipeout, tazers, Maybe even do the side missions that I would otherwise gloss over, As I found trevor, Michael and franklin to be terrible characters to play as. But hey, Rockstar hate us, It happens.... But speaking of glitches, Could it be that the mp to sp glitch, Wasnt a glitch to begin with? Its been happening since launch, And newer patches seem to uncover new ways of doing it. Maybe it was intended to have our avatars participate in sp activities.
