He shakes his head left and right, as the animation tries to make Tommy look backwards. Must be hard to make any escape routes this way. On my book, Luis wins with his running animation. GTA-Biker Posted October 11, 2014 Share Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) From NPCs fat people always had funny running animations,from the fat dude on the beach who could sprint much faster than Tommy in VC,to old fat granny who could barely walk but could easily run in SA,to the fat biker who could barely even run in GTA 4 and EFLC. Even Luis looks more natural there Luckily, Claude's got a pretty cool walking animation. And I'm pretty sure that Johnny's walking animation was based on it as well. Claude runs like a cartoon character, Luis and Johnny runs as if their back got broken, and Tommy runs like he got a pole up his ass, he does run fast though which isn't bad. It was supposed to be more realistic than 3d gtas but looks more unnatural and funny. As for 3d universe it has to be vic for an army he runs really slow with that awkwad bowing his head down like he is tired. Tommy is also definitely the fastest for sure. The dude can outrun cars. You don't need cars in VC if you've done the paramedics side mission. Vercetti's running animation makes the whole thing better, as he can have a street race with a car on foot, and still win. All that time in prison has made him a track star. GTA-Biker Posted April 20, 2020 Share Posted April 20, 2020 From protagonists,I think Luis has the weirdest running animation,the way he hunches his back and kinda tucks his head between his shoulders when he runs looks awkward. Johnny runs like he's in his 50s,but he's wearing motorcycle boots which aren't really good for running,and it's been implied that he had a bike accident in the past and his legs probably never fully recovered,so he gets a pass. Tommy being able to outrun vehicles going the speed limit looks more funny than awkward. Michael's walking animation looks really awkward too,he's hunched like a Neanderthal. His warp running speed makes Usain Bolt jealous. Coming to think about it Luis looks weird running too. Niko atleast keeps his back straight (which is what I would do if I was running) and I can excuse Johnny because he has a bad leg, but I can't quite describe Luis'. It's like that Bernie Sanders gif above, but it's also like he's desperately trying to hold in a sh*t in while he's looking for a toilet. And the way his stands annoys me too.
