Illusive Prime
My old graphics card screwed up last week, stuff like a splattered screen effect, so I ordered a new one, a Palit GeForce GTX 760 4GB. I went to test it out in action, I wanted to see how it would handle with max settings on the Graphics option on the game, but I couldn't even select anything because it was saying I was reaching my resource limit even though my graphics card is 4GB. I don't understand, can someone please help me.

Santerinos
No more max settings in this game.bad game port. 1st. turn off shadows(all).better perf without shadows. 2nd. put in comandline.txt: -norestrictions -nomemrestrict -noprecache 3rd. get some mods who change shaders(for more perf) and changes in visualSettings.dat. Trust me will work like a charm. Good luck. Edited October 5, 2014 by Santerinos

Solution Red Hat Posted April 1, 2015 Solution Share Posted April 1, 2015 IV got a bug which incorrectly marks >2 GB VRAM GPU's as inadequate. Use -norestrictions setting in commandline.txt. I don't see any commandline file in the folder. You have to make a new one. Go to the folder in which you've installed GTA IV, create a txt file by using notepad and copy/paste the following. -norestrictions And name the file as commandline.txt and save it.
