I promised it, here is the fixed GTA 3D intro I proposed with the NYPD styled police cars, cleaner Tom Novy's Back to the Streets sample, and the GTA 3D logo plastered at the upper left corner of the video to mimic the E3 footage Sergiu posted. The Dreamcast boot up sequence is not part of my creation technically, just added that in for fun to give it more of the alpha feel when it was planned to be released on Sega's console at the time.

Perfect, except I think the song should restart at the end.

Yeah, had a bit of a hard time figuring out a good way to have the song fade out. It was either slow the intro down to have it fit a wee bit better or put a fade out at the right moment to keep the intro at its intended speed.

That is actually part of the original song oddly enough, but still, it was hard to try and find the right fade out spot. Might go back and fix it.

Very nice, but the GTA 3D logo doesn't fit very well. Use the original logo from the mod, looks a lot better, more alpha/dev stages. Or do the 3D letters from yellow to red. ;)

Do something with the logo :p

Use the one from the OP. It's better :)

Also you could change the font style if you can, like in that gameplay :)

I can change what I used so the 3D text is in red instead, kinda forgot about what the mod team was planning and went with what Rockstar showed as the original logo with the 3 being yellow. Anyways, I should also mention that in the video I used a filter on the logo to blur it in Vegas so it meshed with the compressed video that is in the .PSS file on the PS2 disc. Using a high quality render of the logo in tandem with compressed footage kind of made it stick out like a sore thumb so blurring was necessary to make it look right. I tried that with the logo in the OP but it made what is very good work on the team's part look kinda crappy, so I took the liberty of recreating it for the purpose of this video. Much rather not destroy the work you all showed as a fan of the mod to show something I created that is inspired by this mod! :p

Now on the font style, are you saying to change the credit scroll text to be the Microgamma font used in the GTA2 logo? If that is the case, I could do that and would love to since I kind of got a massive love for that font as of late. It looks pretty rad compared to the font the current GTA games use, not going to lie.

It's better not to use the DC intro, since Melted SOX would accuse us, just as he did with me.

When I fix it up again I will most certainly remove it for that reason.

Don't remove it. I was the one that added the DC intro in that mod,so,we can still use it.

It would be cool to add a new thumbail with a render, that shows the mod team, like GTA: LC mod has.

...alright, definitely will keep it in then. Wasn't sure if that little swirl could mean serious drama or not.

Yeah, you he's upredictable, he reported me for using a yellow taxi (Wich is like his, since I just changed a texture) claiming that it's his, even if it's Alex'. :/

His ego is very big. He thinks that "his" mod is the best mod ever.

Yeah, when I was over at the forum while the release was still relatively fresh and the team here left I noticed some off behavior from him. There was this troll that decided to egg Melt on and I felt that how he dealt with the situation was a bit immature.

He didn't do anything for the mod since beta mod 2.5....

That doesn't surprise me, and I only saw a small quarrel with him and a random troll. That small impression seemed to be fairly accurate, oh well, at least the spine of the Alpha Mod has come together to finish what was started with better results. I have said this many times but despite the messy state it was in, the Alpha Mod was one of the most impressive mods for GTA III and I imagine GTA 3D will continue that impressiveness and even more awesomeness.

It was That impressive because of us. If only he was in the team, there would be no progress.

Indeed.

Also, he preteds that he's in the hospital. Alphamoddev2 is obviously him. Look at the grammar, hell, even his name sounds kinda obvious.

He just makes a excuse for not showing any progress....

He was online here on Forums a week ago... *beta :p, If there really was another developer, where's his 'work'?

I'll tell you my experience...

I did the ENB Series and the HUD.TXD for the IV Hud mod, so we'd have an alpha-like HUD, I decided to start a Beta Mod myself, since his was a bit of a mess (It had alpha things), so I get kicked 'cause of this, and he decided to not credit me but still using my stuff.

He also delayed and cancelled mods without me/us knowing... I know I was a little bit whiny (I still am, but not that much :p), but he didn't even tell me 'This is you're last chance'... If you're opinion is different than his, then 'you're attitude is unacceptable'. Than the small things wich are annoying too I was 'hired (as he says)' as an art designer (Yes, he likes to be professional), but I found out how to tweak the ENB Series, and he told me 'dude we hired you as our art designer'... I'm not getting paid, so yeah, hired?

Thought I'd quote my vid:

It's not III but the code is pretty much 1:1, so they'd behave almost the same way, if not identical.

EDIT:

+ they use a CPU-handled* im2d render so maybe it's about CONSOLE LIMITATIONS???

* Even though PS2 CPU handles such stuff better than PCs.

Can you restore iv's and v's i'm sure they are there just disabled.

I don't remember IV or V having antennas to begin with.

no but it can tho.

How can you restore something that has yet to be added? That doesn't make any sense.

So on the new PS4 V pictures of today, I noticed that

actual_1414503958.jpg

This monster truck has antennas, they seem to be moving. I haven't played V PS3/360, so I assume this is a new feature and John was kinda correct.

They didn't have any antennas in the 360 version, thus, John was wrong about them being in IV. I'm guessing they just added them for that one truck since I haven't seen it on any other vehicles in both IV or V.

If John wants to debunk that, he's more than welcome to, even though knowing John, that's unlikely.

Well, GTA IV did have antennas, as shown in this thread that even you commented on. I just don't think they move as much as III's, but watching some footage, I think they move a little, not sure. But one would assume that GTA IV had, at some point, fully working antennas, considering GTA 3, VC, SA, LCS, VCS and V have them.

I remember those two cars and their antennas, they didn't move at all. Matter of fact, I don't remember any cars from 3-VCS having moving antennas. The closest thing to a moving antennae I can think of are the flags on the back of the liberator from GTA 5, and even a flag isn't an antenna.

E. I forgot the RC Bandit had an antenna, granted it isn't a full size car but still an antennae nonetheless.
