I saw somewhere renders of very early Freeway and Hunter, found in GTA III files, will y'all try to recreate them in mod?

 

Edit: Freeway is chopper.txd/.dff in gta3.img, couldn't fint Hunter sadly.

Neither of those are in the files, chopper.dff/txd is the police helicopter. :p

 

I know there was the bike hierarchy and the helicopter code found by Silent, but there's no proof that any of that stuff was present in the PS2 release or even meant for III.

I do remember an early Freeway model with a LC license plate

Well, I think I have seen freeway with white and blue colors in beta GTA 3 screen, then I played gta III and think, where are these bikes? I thought it was my imagination.

I can't say I recall any... It would be pretty dumb for me not to see it - especially after browsing through preview shots hundreds of times. :p

 

That said, I want to make a little announcement.

We are looking for two people for the roles of:

-Dedicated building modeler

-Mission coder

 

The first role implies being capable of remaking buildimgs, it doesn't necessarily mean also being able to remake the textures but that'd be nice. This role strictly involves map related work.

 

The latter implies remaking some of the unused mission parts that were leaked in the iOS .SC files along with the making of a very few scratch missions.

 

Working with us grants you -obviously- early access to the mod and access to team conferences and/or WIP stuff that has yet to be shown!

If you're interested then please send someone involved with the project a PM. :)

In the second picture,they have sideburns,the first and third one doesn't have it ( I'm talking about the original game screenshots not the model one)

It most likely is some kind of leftover from Vice City, which might sound wierd, but early Vice City animations (with VC bones) were found in the files. Perhaps those bikes are early VC models.

That's not a model, just Photoshop work. It's pretty obvious. :p

Hm i wonder why i didn't notice until after the fact.i'm starting to realize a lot of BETA elements were somewhat "faked" like for example on the early gta trailer most if not all of the sounds are from GTA 2.

Is it just me or do alot of the BETA buildings resemble Sonic Adventure's buildings

Midnight Club uses some early GTA 3 textures right? Noticed the windows on buildings look close like the beta ones.

back when R* decided to make the game dark and toned down..i never see any mods for it..personally i liked this version of the game

 

whenever people do make BETA mods it always has to resemble this...

Because the game is about 95% the same as the final in those two screens, it's completely different in the third (which this mod is trying to make).
