You've probably already done this, but if not, will you consider remaking vegetation? Like this screen for example, you can see a small tree in the background:

We already have the textures for the vegetation. It's done, pretty much. :p

Nice! About the model, well, the LCS car were meant to be NYPD (Yes, when they first created LCS they wanted to put the NYPD cars, like beta III). that's why the model is the same.

Alpha GTA 3 pics remind me of a game I used to play as a little kid. It was called Matchbox Emergency Patrol or something along those lines.

 

It had similar cartoon-ish graphics.

I've seen the video and it's really good,

but since the mod is going to have only Portland as the map Staunton pics should be removed from the intro.

AFAIK staunton and shoreside will be added in future updates! :D

We've simplified the missions, kept odd jobs only and cut 2/3 of the map, Just so we can make Portland huge and filled with features.

We may add the Northern side of Staunton later. But for now, full focus on Portland. :)

Instead of removing parts of map keep it this is awful choice even for a alpha mod it's just a shame to see this happen.

That's the point, some parts had to removed so we can extend Portland and work it at its fullest.

But one thing's for certain, expect Shoreside after a few releases. The mod will be filled with side missions and odd jobs instead of more serious storyline jobs. We may even remake the Trashmaster side mission. :)

Some parts in the final version didn't even exist in GTA:3D.

 

Yes. Only a small part of Staunton was featured. It was a tough choice, but we went with it.

Full focus on Portland. More rampages, odd jobs, collectibles, side missions and a few story missions. We hope some of you's can get over it till we finish up with Portland and start with Stauton.

 

@LittleUZI, no need to. Stauton will be re-added at some point in the future. Right after we are completely done with Portland.

is it true that 10 years edition of gta 3 had unused multiplayer maps? the towers, sewers and things like that?

Yes, the sewer map AFAIK is an underground tunnel wich leads to a bank vault.

 

any plan to convert them? or making a working multiplayer mode?, at least i wanna know if those locations are somewhere solid

about those alpha buildings, do you know how to make the little interiors like the buildings in staunton?

Why the damn did we need to do that? We planned to do the True Alpha, not like GTA 3 Alpha. Seriously, that was the plan. The first release will have only Portland, that's it. Either an accurate Alpha or nothing. And Shoreside was not done that time, only Staunton and Portland were done, Staunton being done a bit only...

Darth, it was always planned. But it's nothing sure yet. Most of the guys inside of the team want to keep it Portland only, like a tech demo. We'll see. And even if we will do it, eventually, it won't be any soon. Plus, we need full focus on Portland. We aren't just going to waste time on something we'll have to completely improvise (Staunton was more of a plan/concept back then than actual). That's why it'll be done after Portland and everything that has been previously planned gets finished.

That's what I mean. No Shoreside. We want to do the Real Alpha, right? :)

And that's why Portland will be filled with side activities. I have lots of them in mind.

Side missions, odd jobs, collectibles, crates, you name it. :D

 

Let's not forget the other main features, environments, pedestrians, lots of vehicles, buildings, again, you name it.
