This is really impressive.

I take it one should not use the PS2 timecyc with this. I was using it when I installed this and they had a combined effect of too much glare. Switching back to PC timecyc was better, but everything still looks too bright in the daytime, like the desert in Red Dead Redemption, or GTA IV if you turn its brightness too high.

It's almost like the brightness control in the menu is overridden because I can't see much difference if it's all the way up or down.

Well everything is good except the part when your playing and the brightness just goes crazy , sometimes goes dark sometimes goes too bright thats the only reason I removed the mod...

I tested it and I found it disabled timecyc's color correction. The reason why I come here is my own edited timecyc has different cocolor correction in different time period(like 7am has a yellowish color and 7pm has a yellower color), so it has a adjustment and gives a nicer look. Could you make it enable with your mod?

Fixed overbright results caused by remnant additive blending. Please redownload, unless you somehow liked the overbright effect, in which case you shouldn't redownload.

Also fixed the draw lacking a half-pixel offset resulting in terrible bilinear filtering.

Not fixed: FOV blur blending not using postprocessing, even though the 'other' branch of the grading module is open source I've not integrated this yet as nobody cares about this modification anyway.

BTW here is comparision.

Mobile

SHTHReM.png

PC with this mod

WHUTzQm.png

It seems mobile version uses PS2 based SEABED.ipl due to that colorful fog. Maybe the radiosity Hero implemented is used in some way too to brighten up the environment.

Scratch that they're identical. They must've hardcoded it or something.

Default PC timecyc like mobile does.

it's a good idea to not actually use aap/Hero's grading fork at the same time as this, you'll end up with some weird effects ;)

anyway, screenshot looks odd, might be these * 0.67s for the color sets are irrelevant either way

Glad to see this is still alive. Anyway, there's a major bug. I get a extreme screen flickering between 16:00 ~ 19:00.

EDIT: It seems to be a mod conflict, I fixed it so nvm.

EDIT2: Actually, it does flicker. As Ice2045 below mentioned everytime I enter those country areas screen flickers crazily. Rather than a simple mod conflict I think this is a .asi bug since I tested it on original game.

Well there's still something different from mobile.. I use PC timecyc and it's similar to mobile with less vivid colors.

I get the same problem as lolya, not everytime but whenever I enter Blueberry, Montgomery, Dillimore and Palomino Creek areas, the screen goes pitch black, then rapid screen flickering. However it probably occurs at a certain time which I couldn't recall when, unfortunately. I had this problem in the last version as well, but not as bad as the current version. It's probably another mod conflict that causes this so I'll have to check. For now I find the previous version to be better.

Also, this mod conflicts with the first person driver mod, maybe vice-versa. Don't know its actual name but it's "driverview.asi". I always get a dark translucent screen whenever I drive in first person. Without the RIL.Grading mod the screen is fine when I use FPS driving mod.

A comparison I thought I should put up, between the previous and the current version of the RIL.Grading mod.

Using format c: 's Timecyc Update on both versions.

The lighting is good but the sky color at the beginning of the game is screwed up, just compare it to this at 1:54

Now that I've tested it more it appears the effect isn't applied always so sometimes it switches to default one. It might be the same issue Hero's PS2 version had when it disabled itself when speed blur was present.

Also yeah sometimes when loading the screen goes pitch black.

That has nothing to do with this tool. PC timecyc and seabed are just bad. Mobile version worked around it somehow.

I apologise then, however i just finished testing this with the format c's timecyc, the sky colours are more similar to the mobile ones, i recommend it however the mobile version has a lot more contrast

It's getting improved :)

The only two things that needs to be fixed is the heat haze. I have heat haze disabled with StreamIniExtender

and on some weather that has heat haze effect, you get a sh*tloaf of "vertical screen tearing", this is a heat haze effect.

3d3mUCX.jpg

And the RIL Grading seems to not accept real-time clock? I mean real 60 seconds is also real 60 seconds ingame.

(not using sync to Windows clock but using spaceeinstein's all in one mod)
