Svip
Just thought I'd point out now that The Asterion will NOT be put into production, with only the possibility of a One off, being made for an exclusive customer, with only the Huracan's V10 being included http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2014/10/lamborghini-asterion-heading-production-ceo.html Slightly disappointing. And if it is going to be a one-off, I feel its styling is not distinctive enough to justify it being a one-off. DarkSavageDeathlyCloud

epoxi
Can somebody explain to me what a one-off is? They are only going to make one of them. The article says they will only make a single Asterion if a very wealthy customer is willing to pay for it. The car does not handle very well and they don't want it to look inferior against the hybrids of Ferrari and McLaren. I imagine the car is just an experiment, a proof of concept or something to maintain publicity. QuackinAColdOne
FranklinDeRoosevelt
When are lamborghini going to get their heads together and start producing standard vehicles for everyone to use? Good looking, but standard and affordable cars which will could possibly be immensley profitable and worthwhile creating cars. As a matter of fact, pretty much every high brand should be doing this, while they can maintain the supercar status brand at the same time. sivispacem
Never, because they're owned by Audi and therefore by Volkswagen AG. Why would they want to impact their own sales by diversifying the bedroom-poster brand into mundane sh*t? QuackinAColdOne
Lamborghini is going in a step in the right direction. There is no other way for them. Keep making insane cars. They learned from the Urus and that Hummer thing. The thing is, I don't think I like the newer cars. I like the simpler cars like the Gallardo and Aventador. Huracan is a perfect mix between insane and subtle.
epoxi
while they can maintain the supercar status brand at the same time. This is pretty much impossible, it's why we have so many tiers of car brands in the first place. As soon as you make a mass market Lamborghini, you alienate your existing market: people don't actually buy Lamborghinis because they are fun cars, they buy them because they are status symbols: very few people can afford one, and the few people who can afford one cannot afford to run it, that by definition makes it desirable. I mean it's fair enough if you're going to make a bazillion dollars from the mass market, but in an industry where experienced giants like GM and Fiat are slowly having their market share eaten away, who is going to want an unreliable, uncomfortable, expensive to run Italian sportscar? Lancia and Alfa Romeos catered to the wider market and now they are just rebadged Fiats. Furthermore Lamborghini is owned by Audi, which is part of the Volkswagen group, who literally already cover every angle of the market except supercars on their own, so why would they let the Lamborghini brand devalue itself and shift into a region where it is going to cannibalise Audi sales? FranklinDeRoosevelt
Yeah, I forgot that Lambo is owned by Audi who is part of Volkswagen. Therefore, I didn't consider that. But it's a shame because there could have been possibilities if they were in such a situation where they could have made standard cars. Not gonna lie, Audi and VW make great cars as it is. It's just that Volkswagen are bloody rip off's when it comes to the newer golf's. You could buy a c-class mercedes at that price and still save some cash. Nobody would take them as seriously. That's why Lambo is the one every kid has on the wall, and Porsche sells crossovers. Don't get me wrong, the 918 and 911 are great cars, but more than half of their sales are Cayennes and Macans. Gnocchi Flip Flops
Inked_666
I'd say it's in part to do with the German's, they're certainly calming down that Italian flair!
Shaundi.
This is possibly the sexiest Lamborghini since the Huracan was released. And I've seen 11 Huracans so far lol, which are extremely good looking. No doubt the Asterion will be much sexier in person

DarkSavageDeathlyCloud
Best looking lambo in a good long time. Take away the Aventador's funky, jagged, stealth fighter shapes, and you've got a damn good looking car. i honestly dig the aventador so much i even pre ordered some overpriced radio controled scale model that being said, this car is impressive....and not only because the performance

D3ADSH0T
Always been a Lambo fan, and this one looks good iMO. But my all-time favorite is still The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce! Its so cool saying that name out loud. EDIT: just realized the last post was 3 weeks ago. Don't know if that's a bad thing around here though Edited February 11, 2015 by D3ADSH0T
MyName'sJeff
Don't like it. Haven't seen a decent looking lambo since the Gallardo LP-560. Aventador is alright, just nowhere near as good looking as Gallardo or even the Murcielago.
BigJoe_1
F*ck me that thing is beautiful, it's got all the right curves which is something that modern Lamborghinis are lacking but it also has a bit of sharpness, particularly at the top of the front bumper and the overall shape of the diffuser. Not to mention the fact that from the sides it kind of looka like a modern version of the Miura. This is first modern Lamborghini I've liked since the Murcielago and we all know that thing was an orgasm on wheels. The only thing I would change is the wheels, they have an odd look to them but I've got a feeling that they will grow on me in time so I won't say anything else. Other than that the car is beautiful. I honestly thought Lamborghini wouldn't be able to make a recovery after releasing those two spaceships called the Veneno and Sesto Elemento but it appears that they have.
