A lot of my KDR is attributed to my mastery of the complicated passive mode glitch of 1.17. You are correct in your post about how to operate it. There is more to the story in terms of how you appear and what you can do, but that's strategic info that I learned the hard way.

Oh you mean all the other stuff that started with this update or just everything;

 

Because unlike you I will share, and here is EVERYTHING I know, I think, at this time about "Passive Mode";

 

The "Passive Mode" deactivation bug;

Now we understand this is a bug that is activated by deactivating "Passive Mode". Once you are in "Passive Mode" for the first time, it will run as normal, as it should, but once you deactivate it, FOR ANY REASON, it becomes bugged.

Now the way this bug works is odd but "Passive Mode" is deactivated upon touching a Vehicle's DRIVER's door, whether you are entering, exiting, yanking the driver out, or simply propping the door open, if you have touched the Vehicle's DRIVER's door(via the "Triangle/Y" button) then "Passive Mode's" deactivation timer will begin and you soon be out of "Passive Mode".

◆Due to this bug or as part of the bug, it appears that the time limit(cool-down period) on "Passive Mode" or at least bugged "Passive Mode" has been lifted and is NO LONGER in affect, because you can go straight back into "Passive Mode" IMMEDIATELY, once the timer has reached ZERO and vanished.

◆Now to avoid "Passive Mode" deactivating when you enter Vehicles(yanking the driver out, or simply propping the door open) you can use the Vehicle's Passenger's Door, this is easy to do when entering/stealing a Vehicle, but when exiting a vehicle it still deactivates "Passive Mode" no matter which door you exit from.

 

The "Passive Mode" Semi-Activion Bug,

This happens if you have killed someone or done something to have recently deactive "Passive Mode" so that it is in a cooldown period, then you open the Interaction Menu during the cooldown period and you still cannot yet enable passive mode because it is "greyed-out". Then once the cooldown timer runs out it will become available, and if you just choose it right then it will not actually activate "Passive mode", it will only activate it for you. Meaning you can't use weapons or place bounties but everyone else CAN attack you and place bounties on you. So you must have the "Interaction Menu " Close until the cooldown period is over or close it after the cooldown period is over then open and select "Enable Passive Mode" and it will work for real.

 

The "Passive Mode" while having bounty bug;

This is super easy, all you have to do is have a Bounty on you, swap to you other Online Character, "Enable Passive Mode" and then simply swap back to your original character(then one with the bounty. Then this character will spawn in "Passive Mode" and the bounty will not be activated until "Passive Mode" is deactivated.

◆This also means that when you are switching characters that if the character you are on is in "Passive Mode" that once you switch your character will already be in "Passive Mode as well.

Now while we have the "Passive Mode" deactivation bug, you may want to "Disable Passive Mode" before swapping characters, so that once you are into your next Online Session you can defend yourself and once you do "Enable Passive Mode" it will function as normal, at least until you "Disable Passive Mode".

-Go into "Passive Mode" with a Bounty.(EASY)

Requires:2 characters.

~Once in an "Online Session" and you have a bounty place on you press "Start" to pause the game,

~Then go to "Online">"Swap Characters" and let it load up and choose your other character,

~Now when you spawn into an "Online Session" with your other character press "Start" to pause the game,

~Then go to "Online">"Options">"Enable Passive Mode $0" and select it,

(You can also do this by holding "Select/Back" to open your "Interactive Menu" and selecting "Enable Passive Mode" .)

~Then press "Circle/B" to get to the Main "Online" menu and select "Swap Character",(If you used the "Interactive Menu" you will need to pause the game to get to the Online Menu.)

~Now swap to you Original Character(the one with the bounty on them) and let it load,

~Then once you spawn into an "Online Session" you WILL be in "Passive Mode" and NO ONE will get any alert or notice that you have a bounty on you at all.)

~Enjoy!

Tips:

~You CAN use your weapons while in "Passive Mode" but ONLY inside of a Vehicle.

The avoiding a NPC Bounty while stealing their Vehicles exploit

~Once in an "Online Session" and you spot a NPC Vehicle you would like to steal approach and stop it,

~Then hold "Select/Back" to open the "Interaction Menu" and go to "Enable Passive Mode" and press "X/A" to select it,

~Now quickly press "Circle/B" to close the "Interaction Menu",

~Then enter the NPC Vehicle and drive away from the area,

~Now after driving around for at least 5 to 10 seconds, again hold "Select/Back" to open the "Interaction Menu" and go to "Disable Passive Mode",

~Then you are FREE and CLEAR of a Bounty, you WILL NOT get a Bounty for Stealing the Vehicle you are IN(The one you have just stolen.),

The No Time Limit or Unlimited Bounty bug

This is a neat little treat from hell for the right kind of a$$hole, this happens when you are in "Passive Mode" and you place a bounty on another Player and kill them. If you do this they will die, it will NOT say you killed them, the bounty will not get removed, and the Timer For the Bounty will also be removed meaning now the only way for them to get out of this bounty is to be killed by someone other than you. And this must be AFTER you are out of the session, as long as you are in the session with them, anyone can kill them, COLLECT the bounty and the bounty will STILL REMAIN on them.

-No time limit bounty:

*THE INFORMATION BELOW WITHIN THE SPOILER TABS MAY CONCERN EXPLOITS/GLITCHES, IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE SPOILER TABS , AND SIMPLY SKIP OVER THEM TO THE NEXT BIT OF INFORMATION.*

~Now have your "friend" that IS a SP Character met up with and KILL your "friend" with a bounty now on'em,

~Then when your "friend" with the bounty respawns they WILL STILL have the bounty on'em,

(As long as you are in the session and remain a SP Character the player WILL keep his bounty, NO MATTER who kills him.)

~Now YOU go and met up your "friend" with a bounty now on'em and repeatedly KILL them over and over,

(Make sure they have NO[$0] Money in CASH or they WILL lose $500 each time you kill them.)

~Then everytime you kill your "friend" with a bounty you will recieve the reward and 1000rp,

This is perfect for those times when a jerk keeps killing you and popping into "Passive Mode";

-Call a Bounty/Mugger/Mercenaries On a Player in "Passive Mode";

~Then you will notice the bugged icons, they look like they are out of "Passive Mode",

~Now you quickly press "Up" when you are respawning to pull up your phone and call Lamar/Lester/Merryweather,

~Then request the Mugger/a Bounty/the Mercenaries and it WILL allow it to go through,

~Now after the attack is over they will NO LONGER be in "Passive Mode"either,

~Enjoy!

FRESHLY UPDATED CONTENT: 9:03pm CST

One of my favourite pre-release leaks, featuring a new mini-game update to our High-end apartment. The new mini-game is self-explanatory in the photo, Darts! There is also an added-suitcase at the side next to the cabinet, this most likely has no significance Considering the only available Darts area is in Blaine County, this first-time minigame will increase the social-events players can hold in their apartment such as Dart competitions. I believe, from source code, that it will operate the same way that the standard Darts interface works.

In the first of the lot is a screenshot(ABOVE) depicting some sort of a surveillance equipment inside an apartment building with a rest room on its right and a closet on its left hand side.
◆It is not yet clear if this surveillance equipment is meant for some household security or in-game surveillance system for Heist missions.

This preview demonstrates a CCTV-panel with two chairs, two computers and a front layer large screen. Above this, we can see what looks like a first-aid cabinet, looks a bit odd but could be part of one of their future plans as with this CCTV console. At the side, we can see a small amount of the wardrobe area which has some nice shadows that I've not seen on the current version of this apartment. This preview has originated from the old-High end apartment that was available when Grand Theft Auto Online first launched.

In the next screenshot(ABOVE) for GTA 5 next-gen, we get a glimpse of the living room interiors, wherein you can spot a laptop sitting on the coffee table.
◆There is also a gigantic white-board screen on one-side and a large LCD/LED TV mounted on the wall with two wall-mounted speakers on its sides.
◆In other words, it means you can surf the web on the laptop while enjoying your favorite programs on the TV.

This preview isn't as thrilling as the one above, but does show some dynamic changes. Firstly, their are two speakers next to the TV, which links to the Hi-Fi system shown on the bottom right - I don't want to cause a definite 'Yes' game, but I believe from source code that this is a feature allowing you to select music from the XMB and apply the track to the music in your apartment. I can also see a laptop on the glass table, this shows the Lifeinvader page, I don't believe this has any special attraction un-like the others. There is a orange heater on the top right, it is reflecting a nice, warm Orange glow - a new light shadow which looks nice.

◆In this screenshot(ABOVE), you will see a washer and drier to one corner of the modular kitchen with fully furnished wardrobe including wooden shelves, storage cupboards and authentic window screens.
◆Some of the key notable features supported by the modular kitchen include refilling your health bar, washing off blood stains from clothes after getting shot or killing someone with some melee weapon.

So it appears there will also be a washing-machine function added to the Apartment, allowing you to quick-clean the blood from your clothes. Now, the unique element of this preview, is that a Maid-AI character is standing next to the washing machine, according to some other assets I've found, the introduction of Maid-AI features are likely to be added. You can also see an Online character playing darts, I believe Rockstar are demonstrating a player using the new Apartment feature with the new Maid-AI doing their duty in the corner of the room.
◆On a closer look, you will also observe a toaster and a pot cooker sitting on the platform in the kitchen, which could come in handy for making bread toast or some delicious and spicy dishes of your liking.

This preview doesn't have many changes, I can, however, see a few new kitchen things like a toaster, a pot on the cooker and some small items on the white table - these are not currently seen in the current version of this apartment. One thing I can again believe to be a new up-coming feature is the washing machine and dryer on the right - for a while I've seen bits and pieces that relate to 'quick-washing the blood' from your clothes despite the Shower doing something similar to this. Again, I cannot promise this is a definite feature but 90% of the stuff added to this interior update has a feature/purpose.

One of the most strange, but excellent and innovative pre-release features I have collected, is expanded Apartment access. The interior shown in the photo, has in fact, existed for a while but in this preview, you can see an alarm above the door of your Multiplayer apartment front door which is most likely to increase the realness of outside your Apartment or what some may call 'Inside your apartment building'. The odd part of this pre-release preview, is the memorial outside the Apartment door on the right. It seems Rockstar have created a 'dead man next door' theme which matches the theme of GTA Online (being killed, violence etc). Although this memorial has no role in the ability to enter and exit your Apartment manually, I find it a funny but ionic twist to the interior.

The player may now be able to enter and exit their Apartment via the lift manually, rather then the AI moving your character for you and then the ability to open, close and lock your Apartment door. The only downside, is that you can't interact with other players in the hallway of your Apartment building unless you invite them. I am not sure what the 'Lock, Open, Close' misc options are for, if you can't let other players in the lobby but this could be worked-around on the actual release of this feature.

This photo(ABOVE) is the updated High-end apartment which was released in 1.13, they've added a PC, a shredder next to it, a planning board and I've noticed some increased light shadow which is nice.

This photo(ABOVE) is the first High-end apartment that came with GTAO in October 2013. They've added the same PC next to the printer meaning it could be part of the interaction between heists and the planning board - the planning board itself has also been added. Again, I can see some nice light shadowing. A pile of books has been added next to the PC - could this be where heists logs are stored? Who knows!

New Houses & Mansions maybe coming to Online:*Added to the "-Still To Come" Section.*

I am unable to confirm that the following locations will be added to GTA Online but it seems Rockstar devs have initiated a Dynasty preview for each new location and we can see the infamous 'Keypad' on the wall of each location which I have circled in RED which is only ever seen on current GTA Online apartment buildings - this is a good indication it will be coming to GTA Online on all platforms.

►Answer: What has happened to The Sentinel XS Driver(a.k.a. the Hitman);

He hasn't gone away at all, it seems he has been re-coded, he is now part of the "Ambient Even Launcher" and is only launched, at the most, every 48 minutes.

He is part of the Joyrider Script and it has now been corrected and added to the "Ambient Even Launcher", so now you may see the The Sentinel XS Driver(a.k.a. the Hitman) and not even know it because he will be in one of the vehicles on Simeon's List of wanted Vehicles, if you have one or one of a hand full of Premium(Too Hot) Vehicles(Stinger GT, Entity XF, Feltzer, Monroe, Cognoscenti Cabrio, Super Diamond, & Infernus.)

He NO LONGER drives the Sentinel XS unless it is on your List of vehicles wanted Vehicles by Simeon, at least not for the most part. Him driving this vehicle exclusively was a bug and has now been fixed by him being tied to the "Ambient Even Launcher".

◆IMO the name "Sentinel XS Man/Driver" NO LONGER fits him, although "Hitman" certainly does as he often tries to(and does) kill you on sight, by either running you over or taking aim at you with one of his weapons(Pistol, Micro SMG, or Pump shotgun).

◆Who is this Joyrider(The Sentinel XS Driver a.k.a. the Hitman)?

☞He's a NPC driver that comes speeding by and will try to run you over if you are on foot, also if you fire at him he will often return fire and he is also a great place for low-level players to get automatic small arms weapons(Pistol, Micro SMG, or Pump shotgun). He spawns right after loading you load into a session, like after leave the SystemStore, or a Mission, leading some people to believe he is tied to the Shark Card Conspiracy, since he always trys to kill you before you can put Money made from a mission into the bank. He is called "The Hitman" because he often flatout tries to(and does) kill you, and he is called "The Sentinel Guy" because he usually(or did) drives Sentinel XS, but he also spawns in one of Simeon's Wanted LIST Vehicles(Import/Export Vehicles), or a High End "Too Hot" Vehicles(Stinger GT, Entity XF, Feltzer, Monroe, Cognoscenti Cabrio, Super Diamond, & Infernus.) if you have no Simeon List. He is on of R☆ NPCs that was supposed to act like "us", like players would act when seeing another player. This comes from a very early article in which R☆ talks of making NPCs of all types, timid, fighter, scared, curious, and "even some that will react like other players in the game would." -R☆.

◆With no real clues to what this new feature is we are only left to assume it is tied to Crate Drops, and that possibly we can get a secondary Reward for downing the Crate Drop Plane. Possibly this is why the "Pilot was scared away" feature was added with the previous update.

What is this that we are looking at here? Sorry if the question sounds dumb but I seriously has never seen this, in relation to my Online Play anyways.

One event every 48 minutes.

 

Well I am not totally certian on that, it is dependent on the number of players in the session.

Say you are in a Session all Alone, then you will only get the 1 per 48 minutes, because all you qualify for is the Bank Trucks.

But if you have 2 or more then you can have at least 2, because I have had it happen, I have had the bank truck and a HPV.

Then if you have 4 or more you qualify for everything(except special crate drops, you need 8 for special crate drops) in a case with 4 or more you maybe able to have multiple random events in 48 minute BUT they will not repeat.

Boneyard survival no longer "easy" the trailer next to the wall has been moved further away from the wall and the enemies are much more aggressive through out each wave.

Anyone having trouble removing crew emblems from a vehicle?

 

I ran into an issue today where after I removed the emblem, but still in LSC, it would come back or disappear as I was browsing other items.

 

So I had to make sure I stopped where it would leave the emblem off the car, and save as such while leaving LSC.

 

System: Xbox360

 

Vehicle: Romero Hearse

 

Location: Eastern LSC, half a block from ammu-nation.

Evidently Classique wasn't part of the Bailout, they failed to make it to GTAV;

Classique is an automotive manufacturer in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Classique is likely based on the defunct Oldsmobile ("classic" being a play on "old"), [and is now defunct itself, lol] as the Stallion from GTA IV has a lot of influence from Oldsmobiles[i.e the 1968-1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass & 442]. The logo is somewhat based on the Saturn Corporation logo (also somewhat similar to the Oldsmobile logo), but the border is a circle and the center has a loop that mimics the first C in "Classique" from the Stallion's grille. The logo of Classique clearly features a male sperm fertilising a female egg. Manufacture of the Stallion has been picked up and continued by Declasse in GTA V.

Maybe we will be able to have different Country Flags on the Marshall, unlike the Liberator which only has the American Flag, the Marshall has already been pictured with 2 different Flags.

Yes we will be able to choose which flag goes on it, was watching someone stream it and they had a Marshall with the brazillian flag on it. I assume they give a list of countries to select when you purchase it (like choosing what color your car will be). Edited by FourFingersOfFun
