Harmful radiations

Hello guys I am seriously scared about cancer and seeing how many young people have got it randomly (apparently) it terrifies me even worse. When I moved to uni campus, I had to heat my meal in a microwave and I used laptop quite a lot. I am wondering if these, in particular or combined, could harm me in any way (producing DNA changes that could lead to cancer or any deadly disease). At night, I'm turning my phone on Plane Mode as I heard it totally reduces the radiations.

No, it's totally negligible. There's several types of radiation that occur naturally and some radiation is even found in healthy food products like bananas. And trust me, if you could eat the amount of radioactive food necessary to be affected by their radiation, you wouldn't die from radiation. You'd die from overeating. You know that visible light is also a type of radiation, right? You don't need to worry about that stuff.

And microwaves don't cause the food to become radioactive.

Stop using a microwave, eat nothing with "Yellow #5" and for the love of god, GET AWAY FROM THE INTERNETS!!!!! That is the MindKiller... I mean, cancer giver...

Ionizing radiation is what can cause damage to your DNA and result in cancer. Microwaves and cellphones are non-ionizing radiation. Completely harmless.

I heard that this forum is so radioactive that can spawn 8 hulks and one spider-man.

Pity we cannot trust the Scientist nor their kin the Medical Profession.

They only report what is convenient and rates a paper to keep their employment.

They tell us "this" is safe, and "that" is harmful based on what they think they know. Or, are paid to know.

Tomatoes (Love Apples) were once thought to be a cause of throat cancer.

Chocolate and greasy fats the definite cause of Acne.

Underwire bras cause breast cancer.

Humans explode in the vacuum of space.

Asians are smarter than other Races because of their diet of rice.

Yogurt is healthy.

Recycling is healthy for the planet.

Microwaves emit radiation, well that is the same as Radio waves so if you watch TV or listen to the Radio... you are dying.

A chemical waste, Fluoride, is healthy if it is in your water.

The dose of a specific Chemical in cigarette is unhealthy on its own.

The god that got you into the predicament in the first place deserves worship for 'saving' you from it.

There are all manner of problems to worry about, very few that you can actually control or avoid.

Live with the time you have and Enjoy it. kitten-toy.jpg

lil weasel, you're like a standard measure of harmful disinformation. None of the above has actually been claimed by scientific community at large.

It is so, so, sad when a person holds a bias so strong that (s)he cannot read a flat statement and not understand the meaning of the content.

"Harmful disinformation ... claimed by scientific community at large."?

Simple statement that is, individuals make a community, individuals also say things and have ideas differing from the community.

I wouldn't mind looking like him  I think I'd like it, under the circumstances that nobody would give a f*ck or find it weird or that ghouls were common

Thankfully, people stopped listening to things you say a very long time ago.

My family is like cancer immune thankfully. Out of over 50 members of both my mother's and father's lineage that I can account for (including my great grandparents and uncles, cousins etc.) none have ever had cancer. Except for my mom's dad who got colon cancer after 70 years of 3 pack a day smoking and a daily bottle of whiskey. But other than that it seems like we're immune so I will just go and stand infront of the microwave for 5 days straight

My old history teacher said that you could get cancer by merely touching ink on receipt paper.

Half the things you'll ever do have a chance of making you get cancer. Just learn to live with it.

That one came from the first use of the IBM paper, horrible chemical smell at the time. Just the odor of it made a few people ill. For me the touch made my fingers itch, as well. Edited by lil weasel

See a doctor ASAP. You probably have about 5 different kinds of cancer by now.

if you were a heavy laptop user, dont worry, the worst you got out of it was killing your sperm to the point you will never have kids ever, bright side of this is, no more condoms!

The Harwood Bitcher

It"t giving nipple cancer the fact that this thread is not locked.

To keep on topic, can you get cancer if you eat a tumor?

And how tumors taste like?
