If only we had a thread where one could share stories...

Stop being a dick. This is different of the Share your Stories thread. This is more like a machinima.

No it's sharing a story.

 

If only we had a Bitch and Moan topic for you to Bitch and Moan in...

 

OT: I WAS gonna leave a witty comment and shoot you down, OP, but that vid was pretty good. It shows you put effort into it. :cookie:

 

Criticism? You should of removed the hud. The hud and hints and the "You committed suicide" screen ruins the immersion. It's also a weird story....first off, she arrives in LS, gets some clothes, a gas canister....and then kills herself whenever the chorus comes in. If the story was more consistent (if that was your aim), I would of paid much more attention.

Just my two cents here, I liked the HUD and especially the "You committed suicide", I thought it was clever and the suicides made me laugh out loud there, especially toward the end. The timing with the lyrics was also very well played.

How did you make this video?

I have the Roxio Game Capture HD PRO It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done for me. It comes with software that I used to edit the project together. One of the reasons I left the HUD on the screen was to show that everything I did, I did in game (aside from just recording the ONLINE intro in the beginning.) There was actually 2 girls. I already had a female character so I made a new one and made her look just like mine so I could record the intro stuff with Lamar and the plane ride. An interesting note, but you can tell the intro was recorded recently. When she's sitting in the jumbo jet and she's looking out the window, you can see that one of the random passengers sitting in the Isle across from her is wearing a flight suit helmet.... so random.

:^: I got the Elgato HDMI capture card so I could record some of my antics, and more importantly, screen captures in higher definition that Snapmatic, and so I could get good third person screenshots of my characters.

 

It's incredible that Rockstar did not give us decent screenshot or video recording tools, after teasing us with all the great video and camera angles from the GTAV trailers, that we can never reproduce. Those rat-bastard marketers. :angry:

 

Anyway, one thing I was going to mention, not trying to sound like a backseat mod, but just suggesting another place to link your video, is the character backstory thread. It's a fun thread.

Haha pretty funny, and quite well put together!! Good job!!

 

Next step: make a fails/deaths montage of a male character to "The Man Without Fear" by Drowning Pool feat. Rob Zombie. Same style as a stunt montage, but every stunt fails haha.

You'll want to get one that does full 1080p like mine does. Mine was $100.
