Lots of people in jets killing all, any way to take em out without ano

Someone said you can't grief in a jet? That's funny I was killed ten times in a row by some asshole in a jet. I shot him numerous times with the minigun. And I was downtown under the road. He was still killing me. They should just make it so it shoots minigun rounds and not explosive shells. Problem solved.

 

I really, really, REALLY want to agree with you on that last part, - Personally, if the jets are just taken away entirely, then I see no need for tanks to be in the game either, - But that would make jets just obsolete, and tanks would take the throne and become unstoppable again. Jets would just be a joke, a Buzzard would even give a good jet pilot a hard time.

 

I don't know what that guy is smoking, but jets are definitely the go-to tool specifically for griefing. You would think a tank is no less, just as effective and since you can buy one you can spawn it in the city, more people would decide to grief with that, - But it isn't.

 

Not at all, considering that people that have yet to reach rank 90 are virtually defenceless against them. Why expose yourself when you can remain virtually invulnerable with a jet? If your jet gets damaged by (the arguably, ineffective minigun), and starts to trail smoke, nothing's gonna' stop that same player from just getting another easy-to-steal "god" weapon. It's kind of sad, really.

 

At least when it comes to a tank, there are a variety of ways to destroy it. Stickys, RPGs, Heavy Snipers.. I have no complaints about the tank, (sh*t, I own one). Does it hold a place in GTA Online? No, I don't think so, but its probably not going anywhere.

I love this idea that the skill requirements to use a jet properly somehow give you "carte blanche to be a c*nt", to paraphrase Bill Hicks. They don't. It may have taken a lot of practice to become that efficient at spawnkilling some poor bastard from the air, but you're still being a prick.

 

On topic - how do you defend yourself against a jet? Shoot him with a heavy sniper until he uses the one-on-one DM exploit to get a new one.

I use buzzard against jets quite a lot, but i try to do fighting middle of the los santos skyscrapers.

 

With buzzard i can easily go hide behind the skycrapers and jets really must fly low and slow to hit me.

 

Sometimes they hit buildings or i destroy them, sometimes i hit them with the machine guns of my buzzard and they "escape" to Zancudo and try to change smoking jet to new one.. there is change to fly after them and kill the guy when he is at the ground with new jet.

 

Open areas i can dodge jet missles, but jet machine guns and if guy is trying to make kamikaze flight, my day is very difficult inside buzzard.

 

If im realistic, with buzzard i have "maybe" 20-30% change to kill guy with the jet, but ill take that bet any day.

The great equalizer is to quick join a job and quit to be transported to a new part of the map. How the hell you let anyone spawn kill you 10 times in a row using any method is beyond me. People in this game defend all of their actions....no matter what they do. Jet whores exist and most are not as skilled as they think. Griefing is pretty close to bullying- --picking on those that are unable to defend themselves. But hey what do you expect from this game.....

I get in my Besra and fly around them. Since it's so agile, It's easy to dodge their attacks and piss them off. If I get bored, I crash it into their LAZER exploding us both.

Lol that reminds me of the last Jet Whore I saw. His name was "tealmonte". He killed me a few times, I insulted him and a few mins later he crashed. I started killing him on the ground, we ended 23-11. He fled to get a new jet and I got one too. Took him down and ... Ow, roles switched. Jumped out of my Jet to kill him some more, we ended 49-17. You're all though guys until your victim gets his own Jet or yours is destroyed. When that happens you're nothing but helpless little babies

I like the phone trick actually, sounds fun XD.

I'll sometimes use my friend's Besra (if he's on) and ram the tail section of the Jet. If we don't explode, it usually breaks their tail section/engine, while it only dents my nose. So I get to fly around them while they parachute down to their "victims," who I am sure are happy to see them.

 

I figured this out during a lazer race, when some dick rammed me and took out my engine, then tried to push me into the ground. Turns out Lazers can take a hit without exploding. They will just be seriously damaged.

Because despite the fact that you have the audacity to publicly challenge me to an unfair fight where the odds are stacked completely in your favor, at some point I'd send you back to Zancudo with your tail between your legs and a Lazer billowing black smoke. Taking down a jet from the ground is a challenge. Bombing a group of unsuspecting people gathered outside of an LSC is sad and spineless because there's no way you'd have picked that fight without you OP super weapon.

One strategy is too take cover by Fort Zancudo, they have and will use their anti air defenses against anything that flies over their base. Or maybe a hide and seek dual between a Buzzard and a Laser in and around some tall buildings may cause an error in flight judgement and challenge turning radius’s.

Too much cash to shoot down a $5000 Laser Jet or a free one if you like danger. If you are shooting at a player who is very red and mentally unstable, the ammo u use should be replaced free of charge as a service to your community.

Own up to what? I plainly stated what i did. It's called doing stuff on a whim. Besides im positive people on the ground could ya know just spread out to combat me. yeah they may die the first time, but what about when they re spawn? All those players gunning for me i wouldn't last long in a jet. As far as a fair fight, you are...you know what im not going to call you a name here, just know this: there is no such thing as a fair fight. you enter a fight to win not to make sure the other guy has a fair chance of killing you. if thats how you fight you probably shouldn't fight anyone. You can call anyone that is in the lobby friend or not.......whenever I would swoop down to kill him he would call me and I would either have to answer or hang up the phone either way it prevents you from shooting the guns on the Jett.......now I'm sure timing is everything but he had the timing down perfectly
