In fact she was more male than Manny Escuela as we could see during gameplay She reminds me of a film character. I don;t remeber the title, but it was about 3 maybe 4 girls, bank robbers. And the male one died in a shootout surrounded by police, just got out of the car and started to shoot. Probably she didn;t want to be taken alive. So as we can see girls also have balls And one more thing. Girls also play GTA. I suppose they'd like to play a female character more than we do. RememberToTaper Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) ^i think a female protagonist is viable as long as her gender isn't the main focus of the character. look at johnny k for example. he is jewish. but that isn't the main focus of the character. what is the main focus of the character is that he rides choppers, kills racist deadbeats, and sticks it to the man. hell, he only briefly mentions he's jewish like twice. he ended up being an awesome character because the game didn't focus on his jewish heritage every five minutes. if the game did, he might end up being a bad/boring/lame character lol. so, a female protagonist could work as long as her gender isn't focused on every five minutes either. tbh, i could picture a woman committing these crazy crimes like tommy, victor, toni, and CJ do. if men can do it why can't women? I think that's a very good point. If they bring in a female they shouldn't focus on her "womanliness" every 5 seconds. I trust that Dan Houser and his writers will strike a good balance and not go too far though. I do like some of the ideas in here who say the female character could start off on the "good side" and sort of be tempted and lured into the criminal world slowly. As for how she should look, you could make her attractive or plain, it wouldn't bother me. The males didn't look like Calvin Klein models but normal guys (and actually kind of resembled their voice actors). I clicked on the thread, read the starting post, scorlled down and this was the first thing I saw. I started laughing. Anyway, if R* ever does do a female character, I think she'd probably have similar characteristics to Catalina. Even though I agree 100% with what Drunken Cowboy said, maybe they could make her bi-sexual or even lesbian to please the mainly male fanbase of GTA. The Idea itself seems difficult for R* to implement but despite some of their failures, I trust them to the extent that they mostly try to create unconventional gaming experiences for the fans. The writers could even make it an inside joke that no one really notices she's a women. Maybe she could be ex-military and the reason she got into crime is to support her drug habit or something (GTA protags aren't perfect) Appearance wise I guess she would be hot just so people are more "accepting" of her. The fact that your gender is not represented in either fiction or reality as violent killers means you do not have to deal with the stigma of being thought of as a potential rapist, murderer etc just for your gender.
