@DarkVII, this sounds like you have some personal vendetta against V lol.

I wonder what will V haters say about V on PS4...But there is no need about saying anything because the numbers speak for themselves;

GTAV (PS3) 8GB

GTAV (PS4) 50GB?

Hate that if you can :rol:

Quantity but also quality. And the QUANTITY of V itself seems to be the main reason why even the most dedicated V haters can`t keep their fingers off of V even if they hate it so much. That`s unique phenomen known for this game only. For every other game is like; "I hate it so i`m not going to play it, period!" but in V`s case is like; "f*ck i hate this game but yet i keep playing it".

F*ck off

I think the main reason people come on forums is to vent how much they dislike something. If someone was to comb through this forum they'd think we hated the game, but that's not so.

Driving around the city felt great. I loved the highways/motorways to get from and to the city, watching the sun set as I drived the long distances. The country felt amazing, walking through the dense allocation of trees and seeing animals in the distance feeding. Then in the city it gave me the same feel as I got when I first played GTA IV. The city felt alive. Everything feels alive.

Oh and also F*ck off. Ya'll two obviously didn't read it well enough when i said there are points i do like. And as for numbers speaking for themselves look at all the other ps4, and xbone games. It seems i only reinforced the fact that ya'll will only read my bad points instead of good. And also proof that hype & graphics sell games. :beerhat:

Couldn't agree more, I don't understand why everything has to turn into hurling insults at each other.

OT - I like Blaine county. One of the big things I didn't like about IV is that all there is was city with very few places to off road.

Whoa hold your horses there slick, no need for hostality. Besides this forum is filled with V hating topics and there is no need for bringing negativism on here also. You can create your own topic called; "i f*cking hate V because it`s so popular but i still can`t keep myself from playing it all days" and you can heal your wounds there.

This is about what we LIKE about V not dislike.

If you guys want to go at each other's throats stick to PM. This thread is designed for people to discuss what they like about GTA V so as such it should carry a positive tone.. I don't want to have to repeat myself.

I don't dislike it fully, read my whole post and yo will see the points i like. Jesus Christ i knew this would happen too. I guess i'll just find something nice to say since ya'll think i'm only bashing. #fanboys

But anyways

OT- i like blaine county but feel as if there could have been more activities. Speaking of which, anybody think that current-gen blaine county will have more to it. I hope there is more diversity like there is in los santos.

I like the voice acting, so much more real and convincing than the robotic voice acting you get in some games.

I really enjoyed the Golf mini game! I thought it was executed really well. The only down side is there needed to be more to it, for instance buying clubs, more courses, ect. Hopefully they expand on it in the future. Still its a lot of fun for a mini game.

My favorite thing about the game maybe a spoiler for those who have not finished the game.

I'd like to think most, if not all the members on this forum have completed the game, but I'll err on the side of caution.

Completing the game and the choices offered for the completion of the game really won me back after GTA 4. I did not like how the story went in GTA 4 and felt a little miffed over it all. It's clear that R* figured most people weren't pleased and opted to give us a little more control over that tiny aspect.

Also, the Gauntlet. I fricking love that car man.

Glad i`m not the only one who actually likes playing golf in V. It`s very realisticly exacuted. I would like yoga too if it wouldn`t be reminded of that slimeball Fabien of course.

And one other thing i find very good in V are diverse and non-repetitive missions. In IV almost every mission was the same- chase this guy, kill that guy, rob that one etc etc and after 40 or 50 missions it became a little iritating if i may say so. I like IV also, very much but R*`s imagination for mission writings weren`t that good like in V.

But in V almost every mission is diferent and most important it isn`t all about chasing and killing someone.

Another reason I love this game and the series is that I get to play the anti-hero. There is nothing more boring and cliché than playing "the good guy".

I like the facial animation, it conveys emotions quite well, characters don't look like terrance and phillip when they talk.

I like how blood gets soaked up by clothes, the way clothes get wet, little details like that are always welcome, there wasn't many games on the last gen with details like that, a few, like uncharted, some others, but most don't bother..

yeah the dialogue, and how it's delivered by voice and face acting is awesome... one of the best in any video game

even cutscenes where i don't really like the story are still incredibly delivered

I'm a bit lost on this one. Whenever was GTA about playing the good guy ? I've never played the good guy in any GTA game.

PoeticWhisper

To add.

The game is full of massive little details. People sometimes say that the world is dead and the peds don't give a damn. But that's how society is these days. People hang out in groups and sit on their phones texting. That's how 2013-2014 is. R* hit the nail on the head, even if it's supposed to be a satirical setting. Just walking around the map, hearing pedestrians have real conversations, even if they don't always reply normally at least they talk to each other. They hang out, they drive and park cars. The other day I followed this girl, she drove up to a 24/7 went in and looked around a bit then walked out. She got back in her car and left. Such little things like that, people actually having lifes instead of to fill the empty void. In all other GTAs I felt like peds were just there to be there, just mindless drones waiting for you to get far away so they can de-spawn and re-spawn somewhere else. At least V's feel somewhat real.

Also, as the hitmen thread has shown me, pedestrians rarley ever look the same. There may be similar models, but sometimes they wear different clothes, different colors, different hats and glasses. It really makes you feel more immersed. There was so many times in other GTAs where I always notices a pedestrian I've seen 1,000,000 times before. That's not to say that you don't get that in V, but it's less common.

Even just down to little details like puddles when it rains, wet areas near ice boxes, the ruined streets, bugs in swamps and near trash, butterflys, birds chriping and flying. Everything feels so real. It's so easy to get so immersed in this game. That is the ultimate point I'm trying to make. It may be one of the more wacky GTAs but it's full of amazing little details that just make you go "huh" whenever you notice them. Sometimes taking a walk in this game can really make you appreciate what R* has done for us.

let me be more clear most games deal with a protagonist who is trying to save the world from zombies, aliens, terrorists or other outside force that is usually malicious in nature. In the gta series the player plays a character whi is in general a low life or questionable in nature, he might not be completely nasty but he doesn't exactly have the best intention for others, he's just trying to get to the top or be rich or wants revenge.

I know he is polarizing but one of the reasons I like this game is Trevor. Protagonists like Niko, Johnny K, CJ and Michael to some extent are conflicted and sort of forced into a life of crime by circumstances. They are criminals but they have good sides. Trevor just revels in criminality, lawlessness and chaos and completely thumbs his nose at polite society. Some people hate it but I am glad in a game about crime we have somebody who wants to be a criminal. In many ways he is one of the most honest protagonists in the series. I know many don't agree but that is how I see it.

agree Trevor in many ways In a grey area of villain and anti-hero he is a nasty ruthless egotistical guy with a grave yards worth of skeletons in his closet but he has moments where you can see him struggle with himself. Edited by mjansing82

Even though I'm a fan of IV doesn't mean I think V sucks, here's my (rather incomplete) list of why I liked GTA V.

-Fluent and flexible cover system. Huge improvement to IV's cover system.

-Line of Sight system. Sometimes I'm annoyed by V's cops due to how aggressive they are, but I must admit that the line of sight system is new and worked great.

-Vehicle customization. Wished it was available in IV.

-Michael. He's a new type of protagonist. Even though I'm not a fan on V's storyline (in fact, I'm one of the many who disliked it), I must appreciate how R* took a different direction about GTA protagonists.

-Graphics. It's running on a 8-9 years old system for god's sake. One of the best graphics on a multiplatform last-gen console game.

Yeah gta is definitely rockstars flag ship in the industry, and while they have made many wonderful games since the days of top down and a huge successful jump into the 3d era they have a very impressive catalog of feats, they will always be known as the company that not only made gta but also created the standard of sandbox style gaming. Here is to the next 20 years😊

You really nailed that one.

That`s exactly what i was thinkink myself. Trevor is the ONLY GTA protagonist who makes sense being a GTA protagonist.

Think about it for a second and you`ll see that every GTA protag so far was a hypocrite at certain point. I hate to say it but even Niko and Vic (two of my best protags) were a f*cking hypocrites..trying to get out of criminal world but yet they were killing for fun and later they felt bad about it.

Not Trevor, he is completely diferent.

Let`s forget that Trevor is a total maniac for a second, not just maniac but he is pure evil but he is at least honest about his personality. He doesn`t even try to hide his psychopatic nature like other protags, no, he is proud of it.

He fits in GTA just perfectly and R* really nailed it with Trevor.

Trevor is the character who you either hate or love, nothing in between. And if you hate him with passion (Johnny`s fans) then you know the character is very well written.

He kills Johnny, ok, noone would give a sh*t as much as they do now if Trevor wouldn`t be so well written character. And since he is so greatly made, the gamer has the feeling he is watching some high quality movie so one can easily identifies with scenario.

V`s plot is so well made and written that it beats any awesome movie. Sure it has it`s flaws but other than that the story is so deep it actually touches your heart and makes you angry/sad/emotional etc..

Tell me which GTA plot so far made you so overflowed with diferent emotions like V did?

Well, i disagree about Trevor not being a hypocrite, but that's off topic...

Motion capture was done really well this time around and when you combine it with the excellent graphics, GTA V looked very lifelike. I also like the Online mode. Of course, somethings aren't done as good as it could be, but the overall experience provided for GTA Online is very good. I wish some features from Online were in SP, though.

EDIT* Oh yeah, and the original music score. Bury The Hatchet's tune is great.

Mrvance I couldn't agree more with that. I honestly loved all three of them. Trevor is well....Trevor, buti love how he is. I love Michael's character cause he is trying to support his family, sure he has done some not so great things, but if you have a family you would understand. Sometimes you have to do things that you don't like to make sure you feed your family. I love Franklins character too because he is the voice of reason. But what I really love is how they interact with each other. Michael/Franklin almost a father/son interaction, Michael/Trevor a dark history, Trevor/Franklin a friendship albeit weird one and of course all three of them you got a crew of bad asses that could do anything. It's really all about the relations in this game that really set it apart from every other game gta or otherwise.

I liked all of them as well. Well Michael is my No.1 GTA protag but i loved other two in their own ways.

And especially deep was Michael-Trevor history and Michael-Franklin father-son like relationship, just like you said.

Michael had his own son but still he saw something else in Franklin. His relationship with Jimmy wasn`t exactly bonding so he saw in Franklin something like Jimmy but with characteristics Michael would want for his son.

And the whole 10 years ago background was amazing. It really showed human`s weak link- love for family. At first you would be a little disgusted by Michael`s betrayal but if you`d give it a tought you`d see that probably 95% of people with family would do the same that Michael did.

I don`t know but i felt V`s plot was really great and excellent written so i was really surprised when i saw how many fans didn`t like it.

I don`t know but i felt V`s plot was really great and excellent written so i was really surprised when i saw how many fans didn`t like it.

yeah I could relate to them, especially Michael. I can't say that about any of the others. I felt a real bond and I have never felt a real bond with any character gta or otherwise. I really love this game it's going to be hard for Rockstar but I have faith.
