I am getting tired of the bitching and moaning as I'm sure some of you are as well. I personally love this game, I have played every gta game since it GTA 1. I love how every game has topped the previous when it comes to game content and mechanics of the software. I loved the story and how 3 protagonist not only gave the game a fresh perspective and I loved how they interacted with each other. If you are a fan chime in and write why you like the game, and if you're getting the remaster like myself what you hope that it will offer to make it an even more stellar game. Please no trolls and no whining as this post is for fans of the game please keep it positive.

We've had similar threads in the not-too-distant past but it's a good idea to start over, given that these threads can get heated at times. I've changed the topic title, too.

Keep it nice, clean and above all positive, and there will not be any problems.

One thing I love about GTA V is the Snapmatic camera. I've taken some incredible shots that I'm sure on next gen and PC will be mind blowing.

It's GTA. That's one.

Also the ability to switch between three protagonists is new and refreshing, especially since every one of them has their own story and it's just interesting to play through them all.

The map is not huge, but just big enough to keep you entertained for a while.

The cops finally act as bloody cops. It was too easy avoiding them in the past, now you actually need to be focused to survive. Love it.

And last but not least, the stock market. Although it would be even more awesome if the LCN SE stocks would actually be affected by what you did in the game. But meh, whatever, I like the idea that you're able to buy and sell stocks.

Like Ribon said - the 3 protags never get old for me switching between them.

The big map - I've always been an explorer so driving around the map is awesome, I even ditch the vehicles and walk around sometimes :)

The controls are nearly perfect and compliment the gameplay.

The world and npcs (as usual in GTA) feel alive and add to the immersion.

I plan on getting PS4 V to experience the version of V that WILL blow my mind...again.

There's nothing for me to really dislike. It's so different from it's predecessor and that's what makes it fresh. The city, contrary to popular belief feels real to me, and I can actually walk around in it, or go for a drive. The story I also enjoyed enough to play 3 times and 100% once. So yeah, sure there's a few things I'd enjoy to see, but the game is still great.

The range of vehicles, weapons, level of architectural details, ability to walk around exploring for literally hours and not notice how long I've been playing, huge variety in peds.

Man. How long have you got? I could sing the praises of this game til sundown and I'd still be nowhere near finished.

Fun and engaging story, incredible level of detail, probably the finest overall looking game of last gen, tons of vehicles, immersive city and countryside. It's just a miracle how they squeezed all that into PS3/360. I can't wait for the definite PS4 version.

Vehicle customization, car handling (Screw what anybody else says, it's awesome), switching through all three protagonists and seeing what they are up to, flying that P-996 Lazer and doing awesome and risky stuff with it.

Roleplaying as superheros and going on road trips with Chop as Franklin to the GATES of Fort Zancudo and being told by the guard to turn back and so we do and then go back home.

It's an awesome game. Yes, it may have a lot of down sides but Rockstar did a good job.

The variety of vehicles in this game is great. The fact that they gave the players planes after IV was great and being able to fly the 747 is a cool bonus.

Thanks guys and gals it's nice to hear some love for a genuinely awesome game. Yeah it isn't perfect but they did a hell of a job for the last gen consoles and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us on the new gen consoles and pcs. I feel bad that they have to wait a little longer but it will be worth it to have a much better game in the long run.

To delineate Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V as a stroke of ingenuity would be an understatement.

To delineate Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V as a stroke of unparalleled innovation would be an understatement.

And still to delineate Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V as a graphical masterpiece ails to sufficiency of its title. :)

To me, in every sense and when viewed from every perspective, Last-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V truly renders as a "Grade Awesome", five-star film that is epitomized as just one measly iota below being certifiably New-Gen, whilst delivering an absolutely riveting voice acting roster and realistic storyline. Ned Luke, Shawn Forteno and Steven Ogg portray the entities of Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips in such a believable way. It is so realistic and it feels like you can feel the actions that they commit; it feels like there is an entanglement weaved between the protagonists and players. A deep-rooted connection. :) Their emotions are fierce, emphatic and correspond appropriately to whatever mission or situation they are enduring.

The player can literally feel the kinetic energy radiating through the screen, per the striking graphics and through the speakers, per the conversations and altercations (i.e. Michael shattering Jimmy's flatscreen TV and Trevor's interlude with Johnny Klebitz). The predicaments, accounts, implications and ramifications of the protagonists and NPCs are an alarming representation of how the real world operates, which is one amazing way in which the immersion is heightened.

Everything within the intimate, intricate and immersive scope of this second iteration of Los Santos and the countryside feels like an empirical development in progress, beautiful but yearning for more, awaiting the definitive leap into a new portal where the unfathomable and epic was meant to thrive. :)

And the beautiful thing of it all, is that New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V possess the unforeseen, vast potential to supersede everything that we have come to appreciate and commend of its predecessor. Revamped fidelity of dynamics, graphics / resolution, Artificial Intelligence, animations, Level of Detail; implementation of tessellation where appropriate, character models, volumetric lighting, improved rendering of the emergency vehicles' LED light bar flashing rate; draw distances, heavier traffic volume, epic renderings of animal fur, intricate detailing of vehicle interiors / dashboards (tachometer, speedometer, ISO indicators / lights); the redemption of classic vehicles (Glendale, Z-Type, Dukes) and more. :D

Why did I pre-order New-Gen Grand Theft Auto: V?

Guess it was the First-Person driving perspective, stellar Lampadati Felon interior and much more. ;):)

1. The awesome gameplay, everything from the engaging storyline missions to the side activities and more.

2. The level of details are incredible and there's so many little things to find in this game like the Michael's sandals actually flopping, water affecting the characters clothes, and much, much more.

3. The story was fun to play through and never took itself too seriously.

4. Michael, Trevor and Franklin were three well developed characters who I enjoyed playing as. R* cleverly managed to make them appear as one thing at first glance, but if you dig deeper into their personal stories and personalities, you'll see that they're not who they make themselves out to be.

There is definitely more to list, but I'm gettin' kinda lazy so I'll end it on this last note.

5.

It's GTA.

I liked the story up until post-jewel store robbery. Not only that but this song on the soundtrack is pretty calming. Even moreso as to how I've heard it a million times before but didn't know the title/artist until I played the game

1. Michael. He's one of my favourite protags ever, easily in the Top 3, I rank him up with the likes of Tommy and Niko. He was just such a fresh character, a retired criminal with a family, something we hadn't seen yet. In general, I also just really enjoyed Ned Luke's performance, he nailed him perfectly. Some of the cutscenes with Michael are the best in the game, I enjoy his earlier ones with Franklin particularly.

2. Los Santos Customs/Car Customization. This being in Online especially has been really important, it's kept it fresh for me, I love modding up different cars, finding different colours I like, having your own unique car, not just a stock boring one. Car Customization whilst it could be fleshed out more with vinyls/neon etc, is great.

3. Heists. They weren't all great, but Heists were a huge selling point for me aside from it being GTA obviously. Good thing is I enjoyed most of them, even if they were badly executed. Heists were always fun to do, and I looked forward to them every time.

4. Vehicles. The amount of detail to the Vehicles is incredible, even for last gen, I still appreciate how amazing they look when I'm playing. Also, just the vehicles in general. I love a lot of the returning vehicles, and the ones that have been added in Updates.

I'm liking that profile pic ;)

On topic: Things I like about GTAV...hmmm.

Well, the number one thing I like about GTAV is the 2 years of hype prior to release. I was so infatuated with the game, wondering how godly it would be to play it when seeing how incredible it looked in the trailers and screenshots.

Things I like about the game itself.. I like the big and diverse world, the insane variety of vehicles (cars, planes, choppers, boats), I like the changing protagonist concept, I appreciate that Rockstar finally tried something new with V, and I see a lot of opportunity for learning from the game so they can make the next GTA better.

only GTA with good storytelling and good mission variety/producition levels

best gunplay or driving of the series

most believable and well written characters

best customization for cars

by far the best and highest quality, most detailed, etc world and map

basically, objectively speaking, it's a far superior game to basically any other open world video game

so if you like open world games then you'll love GTA V :D

i do wish it had a bit more free roam stuff and more important character stats and safehouses like GTA SA tho but that's most subjective... V has far better free roam content and activities in general... i just prefer gang wars and buying safehouses instead of tennis, racing, swimming and diving, etc

I've been playing video games for a long time, since the days of pong. One of the reasons I've been a fan of the series is all the details that they have put into their games. With previous installments of the series I enjoyed playing the game but eventually I always got bored with it, with the 5th one I'm still playing it and I haven't tired of it which is something that in itself suprises me.

The city of Los Santos. It's so vibrant and it feels like a real city which I'd never felt was the case with any of the other GTA's I have played, but I admit that's probably because it's easier to pull off with the technology they have now vs. the technology they had back then. I like how at first glance it seems glamorous and bright but when you really start getting around you witness some of the dark stuff too and how it doesn't seem shoved in your face when you witness it. R* also put a lot into the variety of it all too, the small things really matter when you're trying to make a fictional city seem to actually be alive and realistic - despite the ridiculousness of the citizens. The city really makes the game for me.

The Del Pero/Vespucci Beach area. It actually makes me want to visit the area in real life. People who say V doesn't feel alive must not spend a lot of time in this part of the map.
