more evidence that gta 5 wasn't randomely ported

This is sortof more about red dead redemption but also gta 5, heres something to think about there has been no plans no rumors nothing on red dead redemption being ported to current gen, rockstar games surely would make alot of money on a new gen release of red dead but it never happened, you know why? because what they said about it not being possible to be ported to pc was true meaning they can't port it to new gen consoles either, they didn't skip a pc release just because they didn't want to do one.

 

From what i know red dead redemption was a code mess, it was a miracle it was released at all they never gave it much thought and they never knew how popular it would get, the code was broken and a mess it's a miracle it worked at all.

 

This points to gta 5 being made from the ground up on pc then ported to new gen consoles, as just taking gta 5 and remastering it would be the same work of taking red dead redemption and remastering it which they didn't, and you all know they would if they could, it would be a commercial success on releasing red dead redemption on new gen consoles, sony microsoft would be in on it too as it would get people to buy their consoles, don't deny it it would be nearly as big as releasing gta 5 on new gen consoles, but the amount of work on remastering it is something they don't want to do, similar amount of work it would take to port to pc.

 

I thought i'd share my opinion on this as it hit me, why hasn't red dead been remastered and released on CG it's because they can't, i don't think we will ever see a pc release or new gen release of that game, the code is too much of a mess to work with and they just don't want to bother with it.

 

I made this thread to prove to people they were right about not being able to release on pc, if they were able then they would be remastering that game aswell theres no reason not to.

This forum is for discussions about GTAV only, mate. Possible reasons as to why RDR never made it to the PC platform were discussed at length in the PC topic a few months ago. Furthermore there are a number of threads in the PC section and the main forum, where this can be discussed, e.g. Your Thoughts on GTA V PC Optimization or Rockstar Games DID care about us PC gamers this time.

 

Also, if I'm not mistaken, pretty much all titles that are now remastered for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were released not too long ago. Whereas RDR is already over four years old. That could be another reason why it has not and probably will never make its way to the PC and next-gen.
