First Person Mode in GTA Online will ruin this game

If anything, FPS on foot, would make combat harder, seeing as being in third-person allows me to see around and over objects, while in 1st-person, you have limited arc of view in both the y and x axis.

You would be at such a disadvantage if someone was above you or around a corner if said person was in third-person.

A great deal of work went imto creating this world we play in and this will only further increase the realism and emersion of the game, this game is getting a huge following in car meets and role play servers, (RP just gets bigger and bigger year on year especially with the leaps forward in grafix and game complexity) there is a huge market for this stuff..

You say we already have a 1st person driving view "just press select a couple of times", well thats a cam stuck on the front of a car, we don't have interiors and it dont feel like your sitting In the car, but what would it matter to you that there was 1 more button press on the select button?. None!..

Its your view and thats fine, but some people like to do a bit more in this game than chase people about lobbing remote bombs at people, if you want that.. great .. more power to you, but your not the only one playing this game, and their is more to this game than kill kill kill kill kill.... look at me im god.. kill kill kill..

This game is beta, so may problems, not many fixed, more created, i do think most of it is console limitations though, i cant believe rockstar could possibly be so dumb, previous gta games were hella sweet, but this one is very weak, very very weak in comparison. I dont care if you like driving backwards with your thumb up your ass, you can play how you want, im just saying that of the hundreds of driving games ive played the inside the car view is always complete sh*t compared to the chase view, you cant see anything and its far too restrictive. perhaps on a pc with an eyefinity setup they could make it playable and cool bringing peripheral vision into play, but it just limits your already limited screen too much and i find it much more enjoyable to see my whole car and more of my surroundings.

you read and type yet you do not comprehend. I never once said anything was fact about it that i recall. Im not saying they should change it to first person and remove 3rd person, shesh. settle down. I did say it was my opinion and never at any point said you should be forced to use it or play my way at all. that is the beauty of this game, 100 people play it 100 ways. just cause a feature exists doesnt mean you have to use it, it ok buddy!

 

its not beta huh? have you played it? how long have you played it for? how do you play it? what do you do in free mode and what sort of free mode do you use, invite only or pubic? are you a white or a red dot? have you ever spend time being both? have you played the game anyway other than sitting in invite only by yourself? clearly not or you might now something and realize that it truly is beta. The last few patches have actually made the game WORSE with more problems, issues and problems from nearly a year ago when it was released still exist today and havent been fixed. Cant fix problems in a years time? really? hrm. The game still isnt balanced or optimized? so many unfair advantages all over the place that have never been addressed or balanced? do you not see and understand these things? how can you play the game and not? you think its perfect no problems at all, everyones just a whiny crybaby? lol

such a feature would be sweet, id love to be able to zoom in to look at something without the f*cking cops showing up and shooting me cause i used my sniper scope cause its the only thing i got that will work for doing that, lol!

I play in free aim, where 1st person will matter.

Just like in Socom, back when I had to buy a network adapter for my ps2, I feel like using 3rd person to move/check surrondings and then 1st for better aiming will be my go to strategy for DMs.

The use it yourself if its so good. Or just leave the graveyard that is free aim and play the game with default aim

not if your camera is zoomed out so all you see is a tree or a bush and cant see your character at all, then youre at severe disadvantage, lol! many different circumstances will yield different results, if they could/did it would be interesting, perhaps they would split it like free aim and auto aim or lock you to one or the other for a DM session or something. ive been in a hundred melee deathmatchs where youre moving around so fast you cant even see whats in front of you cause the camera angles all f*cked up, and that kinda sucks but it does have advantages elsewhere, true. have to wait and see if it even exists at all first, haha

as do i, however i think you can agree when all you see is a f*cking bushy green tree or a sign, or say when driving a tank and your cameras constantly zooming in and out due to going under bridges or light poles and you dont know which way its pointing or how far away it is at the moment and you cannot see anything at all thats in front of you that its not much use then. makes me seasick in fact, lol

I no longer use my tank and I take cover where I can see all angles and have no blind spots.

fair enough. hardware limitations dont affect the people who sit in invite onlys all by themselves near as much as it affects red dot public lobbies but its still a problem that we recognize as a problem none the less. 100 people play this game a 100 ways and they have a 100 different experiences and problems because of the different way they are playing it.

Because of a CHOICE you made to play in auto-aim, and mankinds need to be right/make the right choice, you attempt to make your choice to play in AutoAim the better/right/correct choice by downing everything else.

 

Pretty lame and weak if you ask me.

 

I'll tell ya what, we both continue to play the game how we want (aim settings), I'll continue to work, exercise, love my wife and gaming; you continue to worry about how other people play a video game.

 

Check back with me in a few years to see who is happier about the way they spend their time.

me too usually, but i recently spent some time in a white dot lobby and it had a TON more npcs walking around and variety of cars compared to the normal red dot lobbies im in where theres hardly any and they are all the same 3 cars and usually they quit completely after a while. In a red dot lobby you can have 5 stars and never hardly see a cop, and if they do show up they get out of the car which then instantly disappears, lol! in a white dot lobby they are on your ass like white on rice chasing and ramming you much more easily than they can muster in red dot lobbies. try it sometime, its very different, lol!

 

hell if thats what ps4 has to look forward too maybe ill stay on the ps3, less cops f*cking with ya, haha! J/K Ps3/xbox360 sucks.
