Mr_Cadavers
Hey guys. Ran into some Spanish guys about thirty minutrs ago. They started using glitches and then hacked my machine. Told me exactly where I live, told me personal information, and said I would be signed out of PlayStation. Sure enough they went through with whatever it was they did. Now I'm stuck, can't get on gta online, can't load up any of my computers for work can't do anything. I'm having to write this from my phone. I don't know what to do guys I'm seriously desperate. I need my computers for work and there's nothing I can do...
YA BOY DIRT
That sounds scary as hell man. My best guess, call your ISP first, then Sony Customer Service, then try tweeting/messaging Rockstar themselves. Also, unplug all devices that are currently connected to the internet, disable wi-fi/cut the power on your modem and routers, pull ethernet cords, all of it. Just in case. That's about all I can advise you to do.

Ai®a©ob®a
They used a Flooder which is bombarding your internet with more than it is can handle and they doxed you by getting your IP address which anybody with a computer and a program can do. Take it seriously but don't fret on it as it was most likely some doink who has rage issues tmrw he'll forget all about you and move on but like the others have said contact your ISP and ask them to assign you a new IP Address or if you have the knowledge or a friend of your does you can change your IP address yourself and once you have changed your IP address i suggest using a proxy to disguised your real IP address so next time someone tries to do something like that it'll be pointless
aragond
> Ran into some Spanish guys about thirty minutrs ago > Ran into some Spanish guys > Spanish guys Or so you think. So, let's get this straight: They contact you, don't ask for anything and then... Your PS... wut, 3... 4? starts glitching, before it... Stops working altogether, or being able to connect to the PS network or whatever it's called, AND your PC (all 1... 2...19... of them?) stops being able to connect to the R*SC, and You "can't load up any of my computers for work can't do anything"?! Can you see we are a few details short of a complete explanation? What is wrong with your PCs? They won't boot? They won't start? Have you checked you have power or a network? Perhaps your ISP has gone down? Did these guys really ask for nothing, no "pay this account" or "release my sister from your dungeon, you filthy Colombian"? Nothing? They just picked you out of a PS3/4 phone book and *BOOM* you've got nothing? Do you live with your parents? Wife and children? Girlfriend? A share-house for university? With an Aunt in Bogota? What's your level of computer literacy? Are you studying IT? Have you just "got a laptop" but no idea how to use it? I'm sorry, but you need to be more specific about what has happened, what you have tried, what your circumstances are around this "glitch". I insist on this because it *sounds* like the sort of sh!t college room mates like to play on newbies. Happened to me. These guys I thought were my friends started telling me sh!t about things I did not expect they could possibly know, but they kept reciting it. They were amateur hackers (and full-time d!cks). I learned some things about security that day. If you have recently moved into new accommodations with a shared network, they may have gotten in through that way. It may not be as secure as you think. Secondly, I know hackers do not just pick you out of a phone book. They want something. Usually money. Or else they are pranksters who know you and want to f**k with you. Usually for sh!ts-n-giggles. Also HIGHLY suspicious in my mind is the fact that they took down BOTH your ps3/4 AND your work PC(s). This is TWO different hacks. OR they have just locked your network access. Srsly, ask your flatmates. Let us know which it is. EDIT: ... or alternatively, follow AiraCobra's advice and change IP addresses, and then be VERY specific when you say things like "my computers for work can't do anything", please. A computer "can't do anything" means you have a permadeath computer, no boot-up, just black screen or permanent BSODs. Well, in my mind anyway. EDIT2; WhoTF uses flooders anymore?!?! What is this, 2007 again?! Especially for something as lame as this sh!t. I mean, sure, by all means, ddos the NSA or Walmart website... but some dude on the end of a game of GTAV?! Script-kiddies are ruining this world. Edited September 26, 2014 by aragond Flachbau
Flachbau
aragond, you would be so surprised to hear that teenagers who think they're "boss" or "beast" use flooders these days. Typically they try to scare you and if you don't do something for them then they'll "hit you offline". I believe this is what happened in the OP's case. sivispacem
They're far more likely to get registration information our of a linked email account visible through your gamer profile than they are an IP address. It's nigh-on impossible to turn an IP address into PII because they don't actually belong yo you, but to your ISP, and thanks to dynamic allocation they might not even know which subscriber is being assigned which IP address at any moment. It's basically internet folklore that you can turn dotted quads into anything more than a very basic geolocation unless you've got a NAS openly accessible for the world that just happens to reside there too filled with your crown jewels. But yeah, we need much more information to be able to help. Not about the initial incident but about what isn't working now.
