Multi-Vehicle Races

[PS3] I have a few races that can be considered multi-vehicle. After weeks of building I just finished my first "boat" race. However, this 3 lap Water Race is more about which land vehicle you jack to get over the fort fence to steal a jet. Any vehicle will make it including 18 wheelers, cement trucks, trucks towing trailers, dominators, infernus', feltzers, issi's, you name it. Almost everyhing but motorcycles (although, I saw sanchez' in a few test runs).

 

Two times each lap you have to 'launch' your boat onto the highway into speeding traffic and/or dynamic props. Then choose a land vehicle. I have worked hard to make this job short, smooth and fun. Please offer any critiques about the race, me or the thread.

 

Vehicles always seem to be a different mixture each lap or race. Boosts available for heavy trucks. I learned I could jack a pickup towing a boat and launch it and drive the boat (I had no idea). It seems each lap gets crazier and crazier if you keep the 4-star wanted level. Authorities don't seem to get fierce until about lap 3. I've seen a lot of funny/unusual stuff happen in this race. Two cop cars and a heli follow you over the fence. Vehicle pile ups. Cop cars driving through the river to get to you, etc. I hope to see others making something similar. Birds-eye view stunt jump cams.

 

A water race would be great for people to build a "Free Race" or Cannonball Run like offered in GTA IV. You could put an occasional checkpoint under a low bridge in a river or any body of water (Somewhere to respawn other than the start). Including, choosing whether to boat across the lake or drive around (whichever seems faster at the time). Water Races might become my new frontier?

I opted not to force players to ride a train to trigger CP's in a sealed tunnel. Too much overkill I think it would be.

I will have to try it. I'm in for these kind of races. I have done something similar time ago, you go with sanchez to the top of mount chilliad and jump off to finish parachuting across the lake. The main problem is you have to be equipped with the parachute before entering the race and you just have one chance to use the parachute, because you cant put parachutes in races. And to ge to the finish line without parachute is quite a mess. It's a PS3 race. I see my mistake in the OP and will correct the confusion.

They recently added parachutes as weapons to place in GTA Races. However, they are still broken and cause your race to freeze. I test them about once a week hoping that they have fixed the issue. In the meantime, every time you steal a jet you get a free chute. Thanks for the reply. I will try your race.
