Aby
My father's accent just made some words into others. For instance, "I'm going to the party tonight," would be heard as, "I'm going to the potty tonight." Twilight Sky

What Bush did was not only having "others ideas", it was starting a war against Iraq without a justifiable reason, in whch over 100,000 civilians died and breaking international law, it is also jailing foreign people wihtout trial in Guantanamo. When George Bush was president, the NSA build many of their programs which break basic rights in countries all over the world, while he had the power to stop their operations at any time. Mr. House
You want to be a diplomat, Palikari. You really have to wise up big time and stop falling back on ridiculous rhetoric. You sound like a buffoon and you will be laughed out of the recruitment office if you act this way. Either that or you get the job and the rest of the world will flatten Israel out of utter annoyance. kipakolonyasi, Majestic81, Zook and 1 other

Mr. House
My personal diplomacy doesn't mean much; I don't want to be a diplomat. What I am saying to you however is that if you're in charge of trade talks with the French diplomat, who happens to be a socialist, if you act smarmy and demeaning whilst at the same time holding an unfunny political cartoon and parroting off high school political rhetoric and casually calling him a Nazi, you're not going to end the negotiations with a satisfactory result. Diplomacy is by definition attempting to bridge gaps. In this case political ones. My scholastic achievements are irrelevant. I could be thicker than an eighth coat of paint and still realise you're bad at diplomacy. Edited September 26, 2014 by Myron

Diplomacy is by definition attempting to bridge gaps. In this case political ones. Don't worry habibi, in that case we would talk about economy. I am a professional and I would only defend the interests of my country (that would be my duty), not my personal ideology. Also, the French diplomat (or any other diplomat) would never talk about his ideology. Diplomacy is about interests (mainly economic interests), not political ideologies. A diplomat has to act as a spokesman for his government and has to defend the interests of his country and the stances of its government, not to debate about political ideologies. This is how diplomacy works.
Graven
Voted Bush twice. I´m sure there are lot of people who voted Bush thrice I can´t come up with anything embarrassing. Back when I was kid, I got from leather belt once or twice. It is considered as maltreatment nowadays. But thinking about it now, they should have done it regularly. The NSA existed prior to Dubya and collected tons of information then too, but it was expanded upon after 9/11. If you watch the NOVA documentary on the NSA, you'll see some reasons for that. Similar story to yours... One time my parents had guests over for dinner. (It was the preacher from my church) My mom made this chicken thing while the rest of us talked in the living room while watching a football game or something. Then, every few minutes, the smoke detector would ring from my mother's cooking.

Nico
When my dad worked on his dad's auto repair shop, he fooled an employee many times -the guy wasn't very smart BTW-. By example, playing heads or trails, he said "If head; I win, if trail; you lose". I know there's more but I can't remember right now.
