make total destroy Posted September 25, 2014 Share Posted September 25, 2014 Dashcam video captured the moment a South Carolina state trooper shot an unarmed man during a traffic stop earlier this month. The trooper, Sean Groubert, was arrested Wednesday and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. The video shows Groubert stopping Levar Jones for a seat belt violation at a convenience store in Richland County, South Carolina, on Sept. 4, according to South Carolina Department of Public Safety. After Groubert asked for his license, Jones, 35, turned back toward his car and reached inside. Groubert then began shooting and yelling at Jones to "get out of the car." Jones, who was unarmed, was hit in the hip with a bullet, police said. He can be heard saying "I just got my license. You said get my license." Groubert was fired last week. This isn't true and there are actual studies and statistical analyses that demonstrate otherwise. Black people are targeted more by the police. They are stopped and frisked more and they're at a greater risk of being shot. There was a fun study that I read a while back that included pictures of white and black people holding guns and other non lethal objects. To cut the story short, black people were perceived as armed more than white people. Did you read nothing after the Ferguson incident about this issue? Race is the main problem. The cop may not be a racist. He doesn't have to hate black people. But he still perceives a black guy as a higher threat than he would a white guy. That could be due to a number of cultural reasons. More racism disguised as "anti-racism". It doesn't matter the skin color of the guy you racist! Yeah, and I'm sure that Israel would have bombed Gaza even if it was full of innocent Israelis, because you gotta get those terrorist bastards and that's the only way to be sure. Ammirite? The civil rights act was not a blank slate eradicating racism and ethnic bias from the system and from society. If you don't see colour then that is fantastic, but a large number of people do. Furthermore, the police force naturally attracts sociopaths and general people who wish to exert control on others. It's safe to say that there is probably a crossover between people who are interested in dominating others and some form of racist thought. Combining the two and adding in a chunk of other factors I am too tired to think of and one can make the assumption that a white cop shooting a black man at point blank range for no reason may very well have a racial factor. Even if this is not the case, it's suffice to say that this cop is a piece of sh*t maniac at the very least. Police officer assumes trouble ordering the guy to get out of the car. Guy complies and turns around clearly not wielding any weapon of any kind, but just as he is about to finish his 90 degree turn, the first shot is fired. To be followed by two more shots in rapid succession even when it is obvious the guy is complying. The police officer is clearly in the wrong here. The guy literally didn't do anything other than complying with the police officer's each and every command. Clear and shut case.
