Thun_d3r
I think there is a problem with traffic in all GTA's I played so far, and, I don't know, but I think there still is even in V. I haven't tried it, obvsiously, but I think that if i were to get in my car and hit the gas and run on red lights, I would be lucky if i got past the first intersection without an accident. I mean, in real life, everyone drives faster and more aggresively than gta npc's. I don't know if it's necessarily a bad thing, but to me it is unrealistic to drive your car full speed, intersection after intersection, without even being touched by another car. What do you think? NTAuthority
It's clearly to improve gameplay - you also notice how in the III series, cars would brake really fast if you walked your player pedestrian in front of them. Agreed, if it was like in real life, driving would suck in game, everyone would be crashing in you and sh*t... Son of Zeus

It's a minor thing, of course, but I don't want to be the god of driving when I play gta. However, I found another thread somewhere, and it's more complicated, traffic speeds also have something to do with map sizes. Nevermind..
