[Xbox 360] Xbox guide not working and game glitchy.

Hey, So i started up GTAV story mode as Michael and had a little play around. Then I decided to go into gta online so i went into menu got an error saying something like "Couldn't download required files to play." not sure exactly what it was. So then I pressed xbox guide button and nothing happened. I took batteries out of controller and put them back in so the controller would turn off then turned it back on with guide button and it came back on but I still couldn't get the menu up. I took the disc out so my xbox would return to the dashboard but nothing happened. I got in a car and drove around but my xbox crashed (I still had the disc out). I held down the power button on my xbox but nothing happened so I had to turn it off at the plug. I put the game back on and didn't have any issues in single player or online.

 

Also I haven't had any issues with the game except the occasional crash and my copy is quite new because I got the game replaced after it got damaged.

 

Please tell me what happened and if it is my copy of the game or my console.

sounds like you played too long and the memory leak caused by a patch with sh*tty game code f*cked up your session and restarting fixed it. This will happen often until they fix the memory leak if you get too wild and push the console to the max, restart now and then or at any sign of wierdness and it will work much better.

I don't know, I didn't play that long before it went wierd. It started after I tried going online. Also I dont have the play disc installed. I have disc 1 on my hard drive.
