Yup, + the vents on the roof, the dumpester in the back and those colored boxes near the parking lot, oh and that car was just a random dude that parked it there :p. Using MTA Map Editor is way easier than MEd but there are some rotation problems, I'm trying to find a way to fix that, for now the only way to properly add these objects is to not mess with their rotation otherwise it will revert back to it's original position when converting.

This line needs to be added to gta.dat:

IPL DATA\MAPS\newls.IPL

Right under this one:

IPL DATA\MAPS\country\countryW.IPL

I've added over 600 objects around LAe in a single IPL using that method. Dunno if it messes with saves at all, as I can't remember the last time I saved my game. I just like starting a new game, and f*cking sh*t up in LS.

I'm thinking of uploading my IPL here(in the Fixes/improvements thread), and hoping that someone continues its work.

Was 2011 last time I saved a game.

Because its not all my work; I reckon 85%+ is. I will seek permission from the other contributors first.

 

To keep this thread sort've on topic but it probably should go in the 'Fixes and Improvements' thread instead, if you want that extra 'pool?' of water (i dont' know how to describe it, refer to screen), then change the following.

 

Open water.dat, and on line 257, should be

Wait a sec you used the MTA Map Editor to add these objects? If so how did you fix the rotation issue when converting to .ipl?

 

EDIT: I don't think normal IPL's f*cks with saves, i could be wrong though.

btw Here,some trees which has wrong placement:

There must be something really wrong with your game, that palm tree was never there, either with original or my modded IPL's

 

And I've already removed the other two by the way

Ok so i'm planning to start a project in the future that aims to increase the amount of objects and overall detail of the game, and i plan on using this mod as a base since it removed most of R*'s goofy mapping. Did you convert the entire PS2 map already or is there some stuff left to do?

Only LS is different between PS2 and PC. I did convert 99% of LS, there must be something I'm missing.

Do the textures on these paths need to be flipped? They don't look right (also, ignore the photobombing untextured ped :whistle:):

You might want to take a look at the Project San Andreas thread if you haven't already, Gramps just shared some fixes that Danikov made on LAe and LAHills that could be useful for this mod.

Right under this one:

 

IPL DATA\MAPS\country\countryW.IPL

 

The best thing to do is add the line at the very botton of gta.dat, not between existing IPL entries.

Doing otherwise might mess some object indices in save game causing object issues (anyone has the link to the topic I explained this, omg).

The PS2 parked vehicles only adds the vehicles right? No other objects are removed?
