Yeah well, it's not IPL related. Med doesn't render it. Nothing I can (yet) do.

 

Just curious, if you could see if this are present on mobile/x360 version, report it here please.

It's possible but it'll be pointless as the only form of "houses" around that farm are empty barns.

And that pole is featured in the x360 version

At first I thought that it have his spawn index controlled by the same thing that controls grass, which is absent on mobile/360 version

So it turns out Two-Pass Rendering fixed that pool issue, it was indeed the alpha bug.

This side effect was fixed with modloader 0.2.0

 

With LINK's permission, here's a link for modloader - https://www.sendspace.com/file/3jn06j

 

Create a folder named maps inside modloader folder and put the binary IPL's there, should work fine

By the way, I'm sharing this

 

PS2 map + Previous mentioned fixes + Removed nonsense placed trees, like the ones growing inside houses or on concrete + Some personal changes I made to fit my taste that now I'm forcing you all to use

EDIT: also, look at the two white lines on the road, they're messed up too.

 

Also, and this happens in a lot of places all over SA, I found grass where there shouldn't be any (usually happens where there's a path or road right by some greenery). Can this be fixed?:

I know what you mean, but if R* wanted it to look like that then they would just make the texture of the path look like that. The fact that it only happens where grass ends and paths begin makes it seem like it's just poor quality assurance testing. ;)

Yeah they managed to fix it somehow on these "remastered" versions, but in a different way than what SilentPatch did, maybe we should ask WarDrum how they did that :p, seriously seeing they replied to Ash's message they might as well answer this question who knows.

Someone may have already sent them an email. ;) Although, I doubt they'd help out. I wouldn't be surprised if they're held back because of legal stuff.

The thing is, when I joined this forums, I've to admit that I acted in a similar way. ~emotional music plays here~ Deep inside, I can say I understand him... but this guy is a pro in the art of annoying, no doubt. Anyway, let's get back on topic, eh?

I have an observation and a request

 

1 - For some reason, when using SilentPatch, the chance of a car to spawn is lower compared to a clean game.

*1b - For some reason, parked cars tend to spawn more at night.

2 - I need a script that forces all cars to be always spawned all the time. I tried one listed in 2DFX thread, but it crashes the game.

It seems that PS2 parked cars were only removed from CountryE. If anyone find something about this, let me know

Please note, the spawn behavior is completely random. However, there is a flag "ForceSpawn" on the IPL lines, theoretically setting this to 1 will increase the chances of a car to spawn. More info here http://gta.wikia.com/CARS_%28IPL_Section%29

 

This could be edited manually, sure. But:

 

1- It will take a LOT a time

2 - It will generate a LOT of IPL's to download.

 

So a script that makes this ForceSpawn flag to be read as always 1 COULD help.

Apparently. And apparently those cars are missing only on CountryE area. There was 65 lines on PS2 files against 0 lines on PC.
