Certo, by simply adding the car coordinates to countrye stream2, that crack shows up. Don't know why. Thanks to binary IPL flexibility, I can add all cars coordinates in one single file, they'll spawn, no problem. So I put the cars from the stream2 into stream3. Get rid of your stream2, and replace your stream3.

Edit:So delete the countrey_stream2.ipl,and,put the country_stream3.ipl?

Wouldn't it be easier if you just add these cars in regular IPL's? Messing with binary ones can cause some weird stuff like those cracks.

 

EDIT: Btw for those wanting the PC stuff back in LS, don't worry I'm adding a lot of objects in a project I'm working on. It's gonna look way better than the sh*tty object placement R* did for the PC version 9 years ago, but it will take a good while to finish so just be patient :).

I'm pretty sure you can only define the car section in binary IPL's, so it won't work with regular IPL's. I could be wrong though.

Nah, they can be added using regular IPL's just like VC and III, R* just decided to add them all in binary format for some reason.

Just to remind ya if you edit objects such as billboards, don't forget to add their corresponding LOD models, otherwise they will just disappear when seem from a distance.

 

EDIT: Some billboards near that area ^ have wrong positioned LOD's as well.

Nope, look closely, one side of the wall has an invisible texture or something (first pic) and the other side has a texture (second pic).

I'm trying to find out what's causing that.

 

Good News: It's not caused by my map files.

 

Bad News: I have no idea what it is.

 

If I figure it out I will let you know.

 

EDIT: Yup found the culprit it was wetobjs.asi that came with Project San Andreas, remove that.

I always had that bug and thought it was because of texture mods, I never thought it was because of wetobjs.asi.. nice find. I guess it accidentally changes an alpha flag while changing the rain reflection flag.. oh well.

Other nice crack on Venturas, I don't know if is caused by the added PS2 cars or if is the new map fixes from above, if you can fix them format please, thanks a lot.

Maybe that is somewhat consequence from toggling on the wet flag for such kind of object, just checked the source and I only toggle one flag.

I'm not sure about anything, I just toggled the flag for everything because I was asked to :p

Hi; I just reinstalled GTA:SA recently, and saw this thread. I have the newest modload and a ASI loader. Aside from that, I'm not really certain what to do with these files...

 

I imagine I'd want Fixed Maps and Fixed .DFFs from the first post right, and maybe the two other fixes under them? Where do I throw these files? I also saw some other file uploads for specific fixes too; would I have to download each individual fix and add it, or is there maybe some batch for them somewhere; or maybe they're already added to one of those first-post archives?

redownload all the dffs,some prelight bugs pointed out by StrafeBolt in early pages of the thread have been fixed

Do the textures on these paths need to be flipped? They don't look right (also, ignore the photobombing untextured ped :whistle:):
