Read the description. And MulleDK19 is not a noob, he's a famous programmer who knows his sh*t.

Yes because the miniscule inaccuracy a stopwatch might produce is definitely enough to completely disregard the video and continue believing that cars are actually traveling more than double the speed shown in the video.

Leave it to GTA Forums to turn an innocent thread about a new feature into a thread about f*cking speed.

Let's just turn this into something constructive. Like a Pun war. HowDoYaLike.dat

Listen...unless you are using Franklin in SP then you cannot drive to the max/top speed of cars or bikes.

GTA Online: cars are capped at 150-152mph. Bikes are capped at 170-173mph

Everything else is irrelevant.

HIHIHIHIHIH I know what does that 1.75 means.

And you've got the answer all along... You said the game was on scale, and it is... both in space and time!

Do you remember how a second (or minute, for that matter) in GTA 5 is about 2 seconds in real life? What if I told you that its actually 1.75seconds in real life?? BOOM! MIND BLOWN!

So, if you want to get an average speed (in scale), you need the distance covered (in scale) and the time needed (in scale).

V (in gta) = D (in gta) / T (in gta) ... I'm guessing that the variable they use is based on real seconds, so they apply the 1.75 conversion factor to get time relative to the game and thus obtain your speed RELATIVE TO THE GAME.

You don't need your noobie video... Do a test by yourself! I did mine, here is the setup and results:

-Game mode: Single player

-Driver: Franklin

-Car: Vanilla Zentorno (straight from franklins garage)

-Race track: Runway 12R at LSA.

-Distance from end to end (according to GPS): 4.57km

-Time measurement: cheap cellphone stopwatch :p

- MY RESULT: 4.57km (gta scale) done in 24.8s (real life)

(24.8s real life ) (1s real life = 1.75s GTA scale) = 43.4s GTA scale (which in reality are the minutes you see passing by in game)

so, avg speed (gta scale ) = 4.57km (gta scale) / 43.4s (gta scale)...

avg speed (gta scale) = 0.105299 km / s ... applying conversion factor: (0.105299 km / s) (3,600s = 1hr) = 379.07 km/h !!!!!!!

Zentorno top speed according to gta wiki:
213 mph/342 kph (250 mph / 405 kph when tested)

I've got no way to check the validity of my speed, but seems pretty accurate to me ;)

And doesn't help that the "preview" wasn't a preview at all but a video of a mod for an older GTA.

It doesn't, it uses the metric system because R* North is based in Scotland. And I never said it did, I said the Adder's top speed is 120MPH because I converted it myself. Any more questions?

Really? That is even more dumb than your previous posts. The UK, which includes Scotland, uses the metric system for many things, but not distance and therefore not speed.

Damn man. You really are thick. I'm sorry for arguing with you. I didn't know it was the special Olympics.

Now now, that might be a little offensive to the people of the Special Olympics; I'm sure they would also want nothing to do with this guy. I mean, this is the same guy who took me serious when I dedicated an entire post to mocking him. How thick do you have to be for that?

This seems very plausible, really.

In fact if you manage to precisely count seconds IRL on the same time the game counts two seconds(on the gaem cellphone, mind you) you will realise that it won't be two seconds that will have passed IRL, it will be little less than that.

BOOOM MIND BLOWN, BRAIN TISSUES EVERYWHERE!!!

Now can you leave this topic alone??

Helluva response from the highly respected elite programmer and modder there, or whatever his brother called him. Very logical, good structure, points were well made but concise. Also respectful even in disagreement. Very professional. 10/10.

Your video is invalid now. So wahwahwah it isn't "ROCKSTAR'S LIE SPEED" ... it is you being stupid enough to not realize the speed reported is in scale, as is both time and distance in the game.

"People have no sense of speed...

Rockstar multiply the speed by 1.75."

I admit my mistake there. Apparently the UK uses a combination for some reason. But it doesn't matter, it holds no relevance whatsoever, but keep up with the strawmen, cuz that's all you got.

Anyway, yeah you're right Mulle, I'm out of here, no point in arguing with people who don't care about evidence being presented right in front of them.

Yeah, fine, throw away all the numbers and calculations and stick with your "HOLY BIG LIE" theory... retard

I just proved to you with actual numbers how everything fits in place. And its actually logic, if you have a map on scale you would need time also on scale to get a speed.

The "imaginary clock" and the "imaginary distance on the map" are used to calculate the "imaginary car speed". You need to go back to schoolieee noobiieeee

I can lend you a calculator if you like, or my algebra I book from elementary school ;)

Can't wait to see what it looks like in planes and helicopters.

Probably with a few more features though so that's pretty cool

It's funny how serious he is about his 1.75.

Regardless If there was a speed cap of 120 put in the game, wouldn't the fastest speed be 120 on the stats sheet. Why would R* put so much effort into a speed cap and then have the speed faster than the cap?

Think about that Mr. Can't B Wrong
