Spuds725 Posted September 27, 2014 Share Posted September 27, 2014 It would be a good idea to post your location-- I believe there are a few different save game Versions-- ie North American, European, etc... and also whether you are playing via disk or digital download-- as they may not be compatible due to that also. One other thing regarding percentages-- they may not be very indicative of where you are in the game-- as some people may have done more or less side missions (strangers & Freaks, Hobbies and past times, random events, etc...). If your save is on your old playstation and it is still usable-- you can move it to the new PS3 by signing up for PS Plus for a month and upload to online storage and then play on your new system-- be sure to save locally before your subscription expires (if you only sign up for a short time)-- I went ahead and sign up for a year at a time-- mainly for the peace of mind of having the online storage-- but the free digital download games are nice too (my kids play these a lot). You will be hard pressed to find a save at that percentage-- most of the hosted ones are 100% complete. I have PS3 saves throughout my playthrough-- I will have to check to see what percentages they are-- I saved roughly every 5 to 10% up through story completion-- I am on PS3-- disk (not download)-- North American version-- I'm sure I have one in that general range.. I will have to look. My GTA V keeps freezing on the mission where Trevor blows up the trailor park and is supposed to drive to San Andreas to meet Frank, around 16-17%, its froze 10 times trying to beat the mission! Spuds725 Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 Ok-- I will upload one shortly-- You will need to "resign" the save file to work on your console--- The video below explains the procedure pretty well however the link (ON YOUTUBE) to download the resigner below the video is dead-- Basically you need to take one of your save files-- open it with the save resigner and Save your console settings to a profile in the program-- then you take the save file you want to resign--load that up and use the save resigner to use the profile data saved previously to overwrite the console/user data on the save you want to use-- then transfer it to your PS3 via a USB stick. Spuds725 Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 Ok-- started messing around with the save resigner--- apparently the games.conf file included in the download is out of date... I found an update for it (dated April 7 of this year).... and rehosted it in my dropbox also... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39674769/games.conf after downloading and installing the game resigner-- locate the folder with the file above and replace it with the one above that I rehosted... after updating that file, it was then able to read my Save File Data and save it to a profile.... I will be trying out someone elses save shortly.... //edit// Ok-- I downloaded someones save and resigned it and then tried to copy to my PS3 and am getting a "corrupted file" message-- I did notice that my save files are all 304kb in size and both of the ones I tried to resign were 266kb in size so I am wondering if the files have to be resaved before they are resigned or I downloaded a different region version-- the ones I tried were both from 2013-- I did resave my 25.4% save file before uploading-- so if that is the case-- it should work. My version is BLUS 31556 -- if you look at your box-- on the narrow end of the box (not the front or back) at the bottom-- should be the Version Code...
