Starting Over On New Gen Consoles

There have been rumors that once you tranfer from PS3/360 to PS4/XB1 that you will no longer be able to pick up progress on the old gen consoles.

 

So with that in mind how many of you are planning on transferring your progress and how many of you are going to start over on the new gen consoles with a clean slate?

 

I think i am going to start over brand new on PS4 since most of my friends will still be playing on PS3/360 i have no plans to stop playing on my PS3 even though i have a PS4 and will be buying GTA V for it.

 

Besides i think it would be fun to start over again.

thats what i think...

at this point most of the hardcore gta'ers have earned and accomplished about everything... it keeps it exciting going back through and getting all the unlocks i learned when making a second character.

 

im not a hardcore gamer so when i started playing this game, i flat out sucked... lol..

it'd be nice to have a fresh reset on my stats and start over i think...

 

maybe transfer, and start a new account...

I won't transfer anything, GTAO is practically over at Level 120, so, being close to 100, the game is almost over, i wouldn't buy the game to play for 20 levels only.

No, wrong, it will still get updates but certain things won't available to PS3/Xbox360 that would be available to PS4/Xbox1 players

 

FTR, it's not next gen, it's Current Gen. PS3/Xbox360 are old gen.

I've got a PS4 but won't be buying this game for it. There isn't enough new things to justify spending £45 on a game I've already got.

Starting GTA O over is a really fun thing to do and most of my friends don't have the funds for a PS4 for a good few months, depending on how their lives are going. So im starting over for sure.

Stop spreading lies. All platforms that GTA V/Online is on will get supported going forward post the 8th gen release this November. R* have clarified this numerous times through their community channels. So once again stop spreading crap.

Ehhh, I'll transfer over and make a new character anyway, if they give us more RP in jobs and missions. Leveling up gets really time-consuming once you get past level 60.. Besides, I want to see if they changed the character creator. If not, f*ck everything.

Its a simple inevitability. It will happen. The only question in when. Anyone who thinks gtao will be updated still beyond the end of 2015 will be sorely disapointed.

 

Theyll give the players enougb time im sure but more than a year?? Highly doubtful.

 

Tho the servers could stay up without updates for much longer.

 

If you think gtao will last forever on last gen think again. We dont need to cite a source to say so.

I have thought about it. Maybe I'll transfer over then delete my character and start fresh, so I can still get that exclusive content. Then again, I don't want to lose my Roosevelt or Liberator.

 

Idk, I guess we will see.

 

To start fresh, zero stats, zero money, sounds fun.

 

 

Got it all planned out. Buy my free garage, get an Elegy and Dominator. Sell gang cars and race stock non contact until I can fully mod my cars. Save for a Zentorno.

I've considered starting over but then I remember how excruciatingly boring is was to rank up my second character. However, if R* doesn't allow us to update our characters in the new version then I may go for it.
