Why Are The Red Paints Nearly Identical?

In absence of the OP.. I was under the impression that he was saying that the Red pants look exactly the same(he actually does say that, no guess work there). Now the real question is--does he mean one pair of red pants has the same color/shade as another pair of red pants? Or does he mean fit? I know there are Red Work Pants and skinny fit red pants.

 

It should be a requirement to post pics in a thread like this.

I can see a difference between them, although they are the same colour just a different shade so by definition they are nearly identical...

 

My gripe is more with the fact that the same thing labelled as "Yellow" or "Black" or whatever can be a different shade of said colour even if there is no indication of such. I just want my Black Tie to match my Black Suit and so on and so forth.

Obviously the different reds are slightly different, but compared to the shades of other colors (most notably the blues) the variety sucks, and aside from wine red they are missing darker shades.

Well that's because they are all reds..

 

Humans aren't designed to see red very well, not compared to green and blue.

 

You can probably make maroons with brown and red pearl mixes.

OT: I like the Garnet Red for a true red. Take the red colors out in the sun and see how much different they are from one another.

I like the bright Torino Red. I can't go back to regular red after seeing Torino Red on a car. Regular red just looks too dull.

I will say, that GTAV/GTA0 does a great job with varied lighting in the game, and so the paint colors do look significantly different (and kind of blah) at times. So casual comparison should not be done -- need to compare in the same light.

Maybe buy a decent tv, or see an eye doctor? They are not identical. I have 3 47" tv's mounted next to eachother (all LG) and just the difference in LCD to LED is very drastic. HIGHLY recommend LED to anyone in the market.

OP have you tried experimenting with different pearlescents to find the colour you're after? Do this in single player by the way to save you cash.

The only reds that look the same are Formula red, Red, Torino red and Matte red, the other reds are fine.

 

Surprised we haven't seen giantgiants garage of cars on this thread yet.
