Think about the endless possibilities... you had a long day and finally carved out 30 minutes to play some GTA Online. So you fire it up and get dropped in a lobby of 30 or so people. You make your way to LSC to check out the new car mods and then you see it... a group of 15 Gold Chrome Piano-Tanks turbo-boosting their way towards you while their crew mate standing on the roof of LSC drops a suitcase nuke on you from above. All you hear on your headset is "Look Up" and then it hits you... This is the new GTA Online.

I'm not sure if this is a joke but if it isn't you're the person who makes GTA online freemode worse for everyone to satisfy your desire to ruin the game for everyone else.

30 people with nukes.. so we spend about 80% of that 30 minutes watching our characters respawn. I'm not sure what the fun element is, I could just leave my character stood in a lobby on the Xbox 360 and turn off the controller watching the respawn bar fill up every time he gets shot.

 

to me it sounds as entertaining as installing windows 95.

The draw distance is supposed to be 10x better than current, especially since our current online had it reduced somewhere along the line due to "performance issues"

why would I joke about this:

 

... and I fail to see how getting a chrome piano with tank rounds into online is "ruining" the game for everyone else. a chrome piano in and of itself is neither good nor bad. it is how you use it. If somebody wants to have a chrome piano with tank rounds with COLLISION_MODIFIER=90 then how does that take away anything from anybody else??

it may be 1.19 of online but do you really think 3 new sets of codebases are going to get released w/o a hitch?. perhaps a PC with the Xbox Live agent mod gets online? remember u can't console ban somebody if there is no console. this isnt jtag/rgh. Prepare to see Chrome Pianos.

Three possibilities:

 

think of it like a nuclear standoff. all 30 people have nukes, and everyone knows it. so nobody will use it because they know if they do the other guy will too

 

OR

 

make them cost a lot with a cool down period... like $10k per small nuke and $15k for the Nuke Plus . and a 10 minute cooldown

 

OR

 

Honor system. Rockstar just puts out a message asking players to limit the usage of nukes to once per day or something like that....

It's progress. It's evolution. Its Darwinism. GTAO major shortcoming is its limitations. By giving us a true open world where we can use mods the way we want us to, not as Rockstar tells us to, it levels the playing field. Sure, I can have a Gold Chrome Piano with NOS and Tank rounds. But what is stopping you from doing the same and combatting it?

Yes!!! This is what I am saying! Get the ol'e suitcase sticky nukes out, spam a half dozen of them on your local LSC Meet Up then just take off in your Chrome Piano. Maybe we just have the black screen if we use the higher-end nukes where it ends the session for everyone? Or perhaps we get to see the explosion (that way you can snapmatic it from a frogger) and then the screen goes black for everyone else in the session and kicks them back to SP, then the lobby quickly autofills another 29 players into your session and re-arms your nuke? and yes on the "makin my way downtown" soundtrack blasting everyone on the mics for 3 hours with no way to shut off or mute or even find a new session.

Not sure if verified or not:

1. No long loading time.

2. When zooming on sniper from the Maze Bank roof, I will see NPC vehicles.

3. When hit by a car by another player, I'm no longer slow in getting back up to defend myself.

Heck, I am not even sure I am going to launch it straight away!, not much of my dear friends got an PS4 yet.... and I would love to be still able to play with them

Bringing back freemode filters from IV such as friendly fire on/off and police on/off. I accept we can no longer pick up random weapons for free like IV.

 

The free weapons probably arent' coming back. They give us crates instead. I'd like to see a few different blips modes, like near only, far only, all on, etc. That was in IV in DMs but probably aren't returning either.

Only Rockstar knows how GTAO for current gen is being developed and released. Sure, it may be based on 1.17 or something like that, but TBH it will be 1.0 of current gen because it has to be recoded for new HW/SW. The PC will be something else entirely. Perhaps PS4 players can play with PS3??? If Rockstar wants full lobbies, they should figure that out.
