WesternMotorcycleCo.
Tried Googling but only got results for HDD to SSD. My SSD is too small and is preventing me from installing any more programs so I just want to get rid of it and install windows on my HDD. Does anyone know how to do this? Do I need the Windows disc (I don't have it!)?
_MK_
A fresh install ,no need for a disc a flash usb drive will do it (4 gigs or more) 1-start by downloading your OS,which is ? so ill get you the download link for it.....or you can just head to google and type for example... windows 7 home premium download link... 2-then you will burn it to the flash drive using this tool : Link 3-go in your bios settings and either change it to boot to your flash drive instead of your hdd,or in some mb's you can enter the flash drive by just clicking on it in the bios. 4-after you enter the drive windows will start the setup and that's a whole other story. It's Windows 7 Pro. Got the PC second hand and used Windows verification tests just to make sure it was a genuine copy. It failed the test though and now I get little popups on the task bar and windows every time I restart telling me about my "fake" OS. The seller has a lot of good feedback and said he used an OEM key (whatever that is, think he said he got it off another machine) and he's trust worthy so I don't think it was actually a pirated copy. He also gave me a new key for Win 7 Pro (off another machine), haven't gotten around to trying it yet though so help would be appreciated as I've never had to reinstall an OS (apart from using recovery disks, which I don't have for this PC). I googled it and found a guide on eHow (I think) but it went through steps involving windows cmd to do something with the flash drive and it was just too much effort and I didn't want to screw anything up. Would you be able to post a step by step guide? (or a link to a good straight forward one) Worth noting I've no Windows CD and the Optical drive is disconnected. Downloaded Windows 7 Pro ISO from MS, now what?
