Lol its rockstar and they are a business

It would be cool if they were removed

a lot of people would give them credit for doing something like that but it's highly unlikely

They're a busness and are in it for the money it wouldnt be be a smart move for them as that's extra money in they're pocket

Also it would be unfair to some as some people rely on cards because they don't get to play as much as others

It's prob just a glitch with your system or a problem with the game store

I love when I see comments about Rockstar and how they are in it for the money. Yes Rockstar is a business and they have to make money to earn a profit, pay employees and oh wait keep being able to make new games which news flash takes money.

Do you work and receive a paycheck? Do you have to support yourself or a family? do you have bills and have to eat to survive? Why don’t you try telling your boss that you no longer want a paycheck and you just want to work for the love of the job. See how long you can survive in the world without an income.

I cannot stand when people say well the shark cards are stupid, why do we have to buy them why are the payouts so low. Rockstar now raised the payouts and people still bitch. Also when people glitch money you are stealing money from a legitimate business which means you are committing a crime and should be arrested.

If Rockstart cannot make a profit eventfully GAT Online will go away. Why don’t you play the game less and go back to school so you can learn how the world really works.

Stealing virtual money in a game based around stealing virtual money is a real life crime now?

Actually, that's a brilliant rhetorical question... Not only does it summarize an entire post in one sentence, it also highlights the stupidity of folks unable to separate GTA life from the real world. You must be a frigg'n genius dude! lolol

Dear ,Quantum1977

Good job XD did u even read my post all u did was restate what I said an add your senseless b*tching in

1st off every business is in it for the money and not the money they pay they're empolyees with

If you knew anything about a business you'd know that goes along with busness expenses

The real profit is how much the share holders make

R*and every other company don't give a f*ck about employees

They only care about investers and the return they can make to those investers

Also since the money is virtual it's only governed by the terms and service agreement of online(ps network, xbl)which if anyone bother to read you'd realize you can only be subject to ban and

Wouldnt be subject to arrest as it would never hold up in court and even they know it

At least 50% of they're users are minors which can't even be tried in court

So for them to waste they're time and money to track down people who can be would be considered a waste of resources

so before u post on a topic u know nothing about u might wanna get your facts straight

Also dude 1977 really arnt you a bit old to be playing games

You should try this game it's called life

Amazing graphics and maybe you can learn a thing or 2 instead of talking out of your a*s

They're called micro transactions

That's what's going to keep the online game going on as long as it will

As long as they are turning a profit, the online game will live on and keep being updated.

Y'all don't buy em. but some people do.,

We should thank those suckers for keeping our fun alive..

I did buy one btw when I went over to ps3 and found an awesome solo glitch to make millions but didn't have enough to buy property, Adder, Bati, and box truck.

no qualms about it.

It saved me time doing a smaller glitch to get enough to do the bigger glitch.

Time is $$$

Ain't no different than dropping 20 bucks at the arcade, But I guess most of y'all wouldn't know about that in yo mammas basement ..

There's no way they were removed. Must be just a glitch on your xbox.

Or maybe Rockstar came to their senses.

This is just a theory, but what if they removed it becasue they're about to release a new update and they don't want people to just buy the shark cards and then play for a day or two and move on, but instead they want players to play GTA Online more and they want them to make money by doing missions and all that?

It is possible, but it would be way out of Rockstar's main agenda. Shark Cards are one of Rockstar's biggest money makers, and I doubt they would take them down. Your theory still holds relevance, however.

Biggest money makers? Does anyone even buy those things? Why use real money to buy virtual money, when you can get virtual money in game?

Shark cards are currently working in my Xbox game store.

Even if they are gone, why be worried? There is nothing shark cards get you that can't be obtained by just playing the game.

Who in their right mind would buy any GTA currency when a money wipe always seems to be right around the corner? All it will take is another bug to be found or money lobbies to resurface to make shark cards once again useless. I'd sooner take my chances with glitching than spending money on shark cards in the hopes that Rockstar has prevented any future money glitches.

I would actually buy Shark cards if it was cheap, like £1 per GTA Online $1 million. They would probably make more money too as lots more people would simply buy them as they're cheap.

I dunno, Rockstar done goofed the whole game up. Money means nothing in this game unless you're one of those losers running around free roam for hours & hours.

They probably removed them to lessen the backlash when none of our GTA$ transfers to next gen.

This way fewer players will be losing shark card GTA$.

All this talk of how micro transactions are needed is tripe.

I play several multiplayer games that have been out 5+ years and have ZERO micro trans.

they have paid dlc that actually added something to the gaming experience(new maps, weps pkgs).

And if the star wasn't smart enough to plan on running servers which require only the initial investment, some maint, and ac/dc well that's on them.

Money restores once you switch session.

Haven't seen billions for a very long time.

I don't think of them as microtransactions - they're just transactions.

To me a micro-transaction is being in the middle of a deathmatch and the game saying "Buy more bullets for $US1?".

With these you have to actually go to the game store, think about it, then make a purchase.

I never liked the effect they had on payouts however. I was naive enough to get the license plate "MMMONEY" for online thinking I'd be earning millions etc. But I can see the upsides - everyone (including poor people) gets access to all the new content, and nobody is forced to spend an extra dime.

After 1.16 I've been doing well enough with missions to fund my car habit, so not really feeling the cash-card-urge anymore.

Ok Capt. Semantics. My point still stands. You don't need cash cards, micro trans, or whatever you'd like to call them.

Just make a quality game with quality dlc's.
