FullMetal
The temps seem acceptable, albeit a tad high for this type of cooler. Are you sure it's properly mounted? i followed the guide and such. I saw videos op people mounting the fans on the other side of the case (so the fans sitting outside... radiator sitting on the inside). I have mine, as pictured in the guide, sitting inside blowing the air from inside the case, through the radiator, outside. And yeah that's what I thought considering it's a f*cking watercooled system and people are always praising it for being that much more effective in cooling your CPU and being better to handle hot CPU's (overclocked). aStiffSausage
I use HWMonitor for my temperature checking. Doesn't have any build-in alarm, but does provide current, minimum and maximum temperatures for all sensors found, including motherboard, processor, graphics cards and hard-drives. As for the problem, I'd try cleaning the thermal paste and applying new, and be sure to check the cooler that it goes properly in its place. Rebel
Sorry for late reply. I'd just remount new thermal paste onto your CPU Metal, at least then you'll know if it helps or not. I'd get some acetone (or nail polish remover) but a tiny bit onto a Q tip, and just gentley rub off the old thermal paste from the CPU and let it dry. Wipe it down with a non static cloth on the bit you've just removed and mount some new paste. Best bet to do is literally just put a pea sized drop into the center where the CPU fits and then put the chip on it and close it up. Best way to get the right amount of bond with the chip and where it sits without having to f*ck about with it. Those temperatures seem a little high to me too when you're playing games. Do you have an after market CPU cooler? Edited October 18, 2014 by Rebel
