Idea: The Irate Radio Update

Intro

Thanks for reading! This is an update Idea that I've been on and off with for the past few months. And now that it's official (S/O to Cara D. for that tweet), the next gen versions of GTA V Will have expanded radios- I guess this is now invalid for R* to do! But nonetheless, I'd like to put this out for the dreamers on the forum. I'd suggest popping a new tab right now, you'll wanna search this stuff up as you read about it.

 

 

The Irate Radio Update

The update includes new headphone desingns and brands, hoodies and T-Shirts, New Crate Drop Spawns, 3 new tracks for each existing station and a new radio station: Fierro Bay Radio.

New Headphone brands

SkeleSin Headphones- based on Skullcandy headphones

-Types:

#, based on Skullcandy's Hesh and Hesh 2 series.

Dawg, based on Skullcandy's SLYR series

Polygus -Based on Tritton headsets

-Types:

Angler, based on Tritton's Trigger headset

Shadow, based on Tritton's Kunai Multi-Platform series headets

and all new headphones have an equippable accessory, the Boom Mic. It's the difference between the Ear Protectors and the Headset your character wears while piloting an aircraft, the little microphone that goes from the right earcup to your mouth. I REALLY want that Boom, for style purposes.

New T-Shirts and Hoodies

SkeleSin and Polygus branded Tees and Hoodies stylized with designs and logos for each radio station in GTA V, and select stations from Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 3 (You've probably seen screenshots of the classic stations tees floating around the internet, why not just release them?).

New Crate Drop Spawns

Crates now drop in the ocean, floating on the surface and marked by the familiar Red or Yellow Smoke. They only have a 1 in 7 chance of spawning in the ocean, but a 1 in 2 chance of being Special. I think these would be great for those of us that have a boat thats just taking up space in the Pegasus menu. Imagine, actually using your Speeder to get the crates that now drop around the surface area of shipwrecks. How cool would that be?

New Station: Fierro Bay Radio

FBR is an unregulated, yet commercialized radio station based near San Fierro Bay, in a studio that Dj Revo (Played By George Watsky) calls "The Zone". This "Pirate Radio" station plays only the catchiest cuts of Modern hip-hop, Introspective Rap, Party Rap and College Hip-Hop.

The running joke with this station is that it's supposed to be a badass revolutionary, doing what he wants, when he wants- but in reality its a nerd in his dorm room playing out his Generation X/Stereotypical 90s Rebel fantasy.

No vehicles? Thanks, but no thanks

If this update were to add vehicles, I thought of a stylized '05 Subaru Impreza hatchback in honor of Watsky's ride, but I think this would primarily bring watercraft. A 2nd Jetski, something like a Sea-Doo; the rugged edges and simplistic yet complex design of the newer models are ingenious, or a Sea Scooter with an OxyKit for SP.

Another e-dubble fan eh, my choice would be Down. Shame his Freestyle Fridays couldn't make it I think there'd be copyright issues with them. Board Game is awesome.

 

Oh and Be a King, that would be a great fit for GTA.
