Where do cutscene interiors go?

Like, let's say the Liberty Paper contact's office in GTA IV. The only time you see that interior is during the cutscene. Where do those assets go when playing free roam? Is that part of the map loaded just for the cutscene? Is it hidden somewhere in the world? Is it just a pre-recording and those interiors are actually not in the game?

Most of them are still there, like Faustin's house for example.

I think I've tried using a trainer to get into the Liberty Paper office, but the building is completely hollow. I'm not sure...I'd have to try again one of these days, but yeah most of them are still there.

Perhaps the only time those interiors would load would be during the cutscene, so after the cutscene they disappear (?)

@Dillono LOL!

Back on topic, I think the interiors are there but not solid.

It depends of the game.

SA interiors are in the blue hell. IV's interiors are hidden inside the buildings they belong.

By example the McReary's house. You can access using a trainer but you won't see anything inside.

Did you see the frightened ones? Did you hear the falling bombs? Did you ever wonder...

...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

That's right. But you can only see it in PS2 using a glitch.

I managed to do it in PC and the only thing visible is a wooden texture.

I've heard that the Marco's Bistro interior from Vice City's introduction is located in the Ocean View Hotel.

That's because it is.

Some places don't appear to be in the buildings they technically are, like Jousters, for example.

Most interiors are located inside their correct buildings, though they aren't loaded until the game tells them to do so. If you have SNT installed, you can teleport directly inside them:

How? I must know!

Vice City's interiors are located into buildings. They changed that way in SA, but came back on that path with IV. Don't know about stories games though.

I have thought about it for a while actually, this is also the same for alot of cut scene only characters. But interiors are always fun, obviously. Well, there is glitchy interiors in VC for all I know, I don't know so much for IV as I don't like doing glitches on it.

Interiors in VC are trigger based, meaning they're in the same world, but they aren't toggled until they are triggered by a waypoint of sorts.

SA uses the interior world to scatter interiors all around in spots that are sometimes close to their real world counterpart. SA tosses you into the interior world when you access a toggle/trigger waypoint.

Interiors in IV aren't in the "blue hell". They're a separate mapping file that gets loaded when you get close enough to it. You're in the same world regardless, the mapping files and your proximity determines whether or not an interior is loaded.

Blue hell

I'm blue ba da di da da die!

Da da di da da die da ba di da du die!

What theNGclan said, they're technically in-game; ULC's office is probably inside the same building his missions start near by, you just can't see it unless you're close to it.
