Make two Admirals spawn at Wang's cars. Inside and outside. Done! :D

Only issue with the one spawning outside is that where it is in the image is exactly where the buy property icon is in game.

i always thought that the Admiral outside was purposely manually parked there by R* instead of it being spawned there by a script. but that's just my assumption and we don't know that for definite.

I gotta say that I think the same as Savidge, we can only be sure about the black one inside. Anyway, what caught my eye is that reflection of the red Admiral on the pre-release screenshot, just look at it...

i want to say that it's using the vehicleenvmap128 texture but i think it looks different to that.

So Kalvo is gonna move it away from them soon I imagine. :p Also the Admiral never spawns randomly with it's black colour outside of doing it manually in transfender. So I added it to the Admirals carcols and now it randomly spawns with the black colour too. :)

 

 

Try to add VC Admiral or add the wheels from VC to the admiral :)

So had a chat with Kalv and decided to include an optional package of...VC converted vehicles using the shaders of GTA SA! Yep your heard it right. An optional package of VC SAfied vehicles. So far I've got the Admiral done. :D

Coverted from VC, edited to have the California plates. Will edit the wheels to be like in the beta image. So yeah if people want the VC cars that appears in some proper Beta screens and don't look like placeholders with the original VC reflections on. This will be for you lovely people. :)

They don't have any speculars on them from what I remember.

the tyres in your screenshot do have specular lighting on them. you can see this by looking at the top half of the tyre -- it's brighter (or shinier) than the bottom half.

Hmmm odd as I made sure they didn't get specced up. Will have to adjust this.

This edit is a bit debatable as there are many different screens of the intro with Carl in different outfits besides the vest, jeans and black sneakers he wears in the final game. Either rockstar had a script that allowed them to replay the intro in any outfit they wanted or they went through the various clothing they had, to see what fit. But one common combo of outfit that is seen more than anything is CJ in the blue rockstar hoodie with the biege pants on. In one of the trailers he is wearing this outfit but has the cornrows hairstyle. In "The Introduction" movie he is wearing this outfit but with his default haircut. So again a debatable script edit but one that I think makes sense with how much this outfit was seen before release and in the Introduction movie.

Also this doesn't replace model files, this replaces coding in the main.scm to load CJ with this outfit combo instead of his vest and jeans get up. So you can still buy and wear his default outfit as seen in the final. :D

That actually works out much better. It would make more sense having CJ dressed for the colder Climate of LC, and having him come Home wearing it.

So since Kalvin is off breaking stuff and his game again maybe, here is some stuff that has been done.

 

Fbi Truck now has a turrent (turrent sheilds made by Kalvein and minigun added by me, hard to see cause of the lighting.) Minigun will probabaly be removed as it can't be seen in the bradyguide image, so it'll just be the shields most likely, or it will be optional.

And the bar has been removed from the bonnet of the Barracks too. Haven't removed the dirt as I have no idea how to disable it as it is a shared texture between other cars and it is not applied as a seperate texture plane layer like logos and decals.

No idea if it's skygfx causing the over shine or not as I did not touch any of the specs or anything. Though I think it appears on the ps2 dff of the vehicle as well.

Too much progress to read all of that :panic:

Anyways, I stopped working on the beta island about a week after I started because of being busy on other projects. However, starting this easter I will be fully working (hopefully) on the map again.

Fbi Truck now has a turrent (turrent sheilds made by Kalvein and minigun added by me, hard to see cause of the lighting.) Minigun will probabaly be removed as it can't be seen in the bradyguide image, so it'll just be the shields most likely, or it will be optional.

Actually, beta FBI Truck uses a similar gun found on the Launch boat in SA. If you compare it, you'll see. Minigun has never been used on it.

Anyway, Solidical will you be able to remodel some cars? Since for now you are playing more with the carcols.

I more or less placed the minigun as it is really not so clear from Bradyguide's image if the fbi truck had a mounted gun. The blurry quality doesn't really help it. But yeah minigun was gonna be a placeholder from me. Will add that mounted gun in it's place later I guess.

I can'r remodel something from scratch like Kalvin has been doing with most of his work, but if someone supplies me with remodeled bits I can apply them to the needed cars. Most of the beta cars can be found in some cutscenes anyway, such as the two doored savanna. I'll be working on that later.

Kalvin write a script to treat the turret as an attatched object which is created alongside of the vehicle.

Then write a script so you can rotate it by moving the mouse and create animations for peds to use.

 

Then you will have my like, pigeon.

 

AND SHOW THE DONUT SCRIPT I SENT :p
