Kafonix
For example, a job in GTA Online. You are a gangster and get jobs from your contacts. So, you call them (or they call you) and request a job. When you accept it, you are immediately starting the job. That would be cool. Instead GTA Online is mostly based around menus and HUD, which is just purely unrealistic. Why would a real gangster start a playlist, like wtf?! The real reason why GTA V/O is so different is that it is so based on menus. Interaction menu, map icons and all this stuff. I really don't feel like a gangster or criminal when I ride military jets for absolutely no reason after being placed in an ugly job menu and sh*t. Why don't you make the new generation REALISTIC? In GTA IV for example, there was no such thing like dozens of menus and buttons to press, it was just like reality, where you call someone, then you drive there. In GTA Online, you select a 'job' from the map, the get placed in a lobby etc. It's just so casual and generic. Imagine you actually would feel like a criminal drug dealer who has to climb the criminal ladder while relaxing at the sunny beach in Los Santos, and not the 'player' who doesn't give a sh*t about who gave you the job or what it is about. You don't identify with the story, because it feels like an arcade game/free to play game/casual game and not like a highly realistic, f*cking CRIME SIMULATOR. TL;DR: Read the text. universetwisters
The problem with online games is that you need to appeal to a wide array of markets. Do they appeal to the armchair gangbanger like you? Sure. But do they also have to deal with people who want to parachute out of jetliners? Obviously just as much as the have to appeal to armchair gangbangers. Sussus Amongus, Lock n' Stock and ten-a-penny

Osho
Lol .. Who really cares here about wasting time behind finding the actual reason why GTA V/O is so bad/different?? Seriously, SP is what we should really worry about, care for and hope for the growth in future! f*ck online. Kafonix
I do not necessarily men the gangbangers by 'gangster', but rather every kind of criminal. robban
theNGclan
GTA O is a multiplayer component with a loose role play factor to it. It isn't perfect and it doesn't have to be. Try harder when trolling. 0/10.

Maybe you don't join missions to make money (in the interactive menu you can get all the weapons you want and spawn any vehicle and even paint them with your designed color) like GTA:O, but still, you have an interactive menu in it. Kafonix
Oh sorry, I forgot that when you say your own opinion, you're a troll and a kiddy. Thanks for insulting me? I didn't say GTA Online was a bad idea, but it was executed pretty badly. GTA Online would have been really badass when executed properly. Imagine a world full of small time criminals and jobs that actually had the quality of the SP missions.

Imagine a world full of small time criminals and jobs that actually had the quality of the SP missions. You can't put jobs like the SP ones in the multiplayer as they need to be repeated. What I would love to see are smaller instant jobs, like the drug delivering with Trevor. Something you do in the open lobby. Would be kinda cool to see one guy delivering drugs with his plane for Trevor, while you're stealing a car for Simeon. Would make the world feel more alive and maybe some people would stop annoying you with their jets. EDIT: I mean weapons, not drugs. I hope that it has to do with last gen; with only 16 players and the big map. I would really like to have a big set of different type of criminal activities to participate in. And then players can choose what type of criminals they want to become. You could for example climb up the ladder and become a big drug dealer, getting shipments etc. Or you could be hitting banks. All type of activities would have different types of risks, costs and benefits. Edited September 20, 2014 by robban
