Rockstar Games DID care about us PC gamers this time

Yes the title is crazy, but let me explain gta 5 pc was being worked on since before 2012, it was set to release on pc alot earlier than now but new gen consoles made them delay it in favour of those.

 

GTA 5 was finished on pc and then ported on to new gen consoles, which is what caused the delay, so all these new features all these new gen features like tesselations better models better lighting everything being reworked was meant for the pc it's not a port of the game we have now it's an entirely different game, this was not supposed to be a normal port but an actual worked through pc port, there was never a plan for new gen consoles the information i and many others got even ash got had nothing about new gen consoles untill they were actually revealed, the information stated that the game would release a specific time period and the information i got was "sooner than usual" the internal delay was caused by the new gen consoles the game was ported from the pc too the new gen consoles.

 

The game was made as it is now for the pc, the game you have on xbox 360 and ps3 is a downgraded version of the original game, they simply took the game they worked on and started chopping off things for it to run on last gen consoles, this can be seen on the old trailers showing a much more complete game than the one we got the first trailer showed their true vision of the game and that game was meant for the pc it may not have ran on pc but it was the full potential game, i am willing to bet that the ps4 xbox one and pc version of this game will be very close too trailer 1, because it was that version that was first shown to us.

 

This means that rockstar games did care about making a proper game for pc that they wanted to give us they ofcourse dissapointed us in favour of new gen consoles but it's money, i still don't respect most of what they've done but i've realized that this time they wanted to give us a proper game.

 

You do not have to trust me on having an "inside source" if you even could call it that, but you know me and who i am, i would not lie to people and i know the person who told me, not a regular nobody, and most of that information was the same across some other people including ash so take my "inside information" however you want it i was told the game would not be a port this was back in i think 2012, i was also told it would release sooner than usual meaning it was supposed to release sooner but new gen consoles stopped all that rockstar games wanted to treat us well but all that wen't out the window after new gen consoles.

 

Also note i have permission to share this information as long as i don't say who it comes from, i would never actually say anything unless i was allowed to, again believe it or not it doesn't really matter too me.

Ofcourse you could argue that it all was a plan that they had access too new gen consoles way back in 2012, but i highly doubt it so i am sticking with my theory as things were really messy and that all points to new gen consoles, and messy internal planning causing this very messy outcome.

But how does that help your cause? They still put the PC version on the back burner and focused on the last gen and current gen consoles.

That's your definition of caring for PC gamers this time? Having to wait over a year for a PC release of GTA V while it is released on consoles twice? Especially knowing that the PC version has existed longer than the PS4/XBO versions?

That's not true.

 

Prioritizing console versions over PC was always in their plans. They didn't changed anything in their layout after the success of the last gen release.

The high level of optimization is done for the sake of the new consoles,rockstar would have ported the sh*t out of V just like they did with IV and called it a day....but this time a new set of consoles is involved so they had to pull out the best on the PC version to insure the best for the current gen,rockstar doesn't give a damn two about PC we are just leftovers for them, as always PC will forever get it last that's the logic of rockstar funny thing you will still find people standing out for them believing their kiddish excuse about polishing the game oh the PS4 XB1 will get it on Nov but the PC version is having problems and has to be delayed 2 months after the release of the CG such bullsh*t,if the PC is having problems then the Ps4 XB1 should also be having problems and should be delyed as same.

that's not to mention how they kept us waiting all this time and still no goddamn one PC screenshot or a trailer or any kind of detailed information about the PC version while the they deliberately mention how much players the CG will have and not one single word about the PC version and not even the PC release date at the end of the new trailer, totally focusing on the CG with a big F*CK YOU PC GAMERS ...

Why?

 

The angle of them being paid or bought out by Sony/MS, as well as the angle that they're delaying it to milk consoles? It's too obvious. Rockstar treats a lot of their fans like absolute f*cking cretins at times, sure. But there is no way on this earth that they didn't know how bad they'd look if they revealed that January release date. But they knew they had to. Why? Because it's a genuine issue that caused it to be changed, not a simple money scheme.

 

So they revealed the January delay. They bit the bullet, knowing full well of the publicity they'd get for it. The obvious accusations.

 

i don't think they're unfounded. History has given us reason to have these doubts and accusations, and I'm perfectly fine with people having them, but what i'm not fine with is being called a sheep for thinking outside the box. The box of armchair businessman-driven negativity that everyone seems to have confined themselves into. That all of this MUST be some type of milking strategy, it couldn't possibly be any other reason.

 

I'm not defending Rockstar here, I'm defending independent thinking that doesn't bind itself to past patterns.

 

So yeah, I'm going to play it completely straight and ignorant on purpose and say that I agree. I trust the build logs and I trust your/Ash's/whoever's source(s). The PC version has been worked to death on, and the NG consoles completely blindsided everyone. That's exactly what happened and as a result, the PC version is going to be a spectacular technological marvel that'll blow everyone away the moment it drops.

 

TL;DR: Rockstar's developers are great. Rockstar's management/marketing/PR is absolute arse. So even though the management f*cked us over, the developers' work will still see the light of day come January 27th. That's good enough for me. Unless they delayed it for 2 months to nerf it or something.

Rockstar Games doesn't give a sh*t about their PC fanbase. They just became bussinessman who tell people to do games for them so they can sell them and get even richer, because being as rich as you were 1 month ago isn't enough.

 

And for those of you who are defending Rockstar saying "Well the PC version is gonna be beast and well optimized!", wait until you play it in your very own PC........
