Yeah that sucks too. Cop has been shot and he keeps shooting at you with his backup pistol even if i put whole magazin out of AK47 into his ass. I switched to auto aim because i thought that was the issue but it was the same as in free aim.

I was in the police station the other day just reading the "Wanted" posters and signs and whatnot. Then one of the officers bumped into me, I wasn't moving. All of a sudden, everyone in the building opened fire on me. I didn't even do anything, he bumped me!

Lol Ive been shot at for just standing near a cop on this game, ROCKSTAR REALLY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER. WTF

- Stand near NPC - They Call the cops - you run (with no weapon) - They Shoot - WTF? i guess thats realism for ya' now days tho.

They have cops ramming your car at top speed and it makes you swerve left all the time ( even in a Carbonzaire)

They have cops shooting at 90% accuracy

They have cops committing suicide - blowing up their cars (when your on mountain chases) to catch you.

But you can go in a train tunnel and the "SUPER SMART" cops won't be able to find you. They would know your in there but won't come inside? Pretty nice AI R*

I REALIZED THAT THE WANTED SYSTEM IS JUST VERY POORLY DONE.

WHEN YOU GUYS PLAY AGAIN TRY THIS AND YOUR GUARANTEED A STAR

Hit a NPC and then try to run in a taxi to leave the area. - Your gonna automatically hop out with a star.

When I play this game i spend 60% trying to lose the cops.

Officer Ronson

Were you standing behind the counter? If so that counts as tresspassing, and tresspassing is punished by death.

Come on people how can you not expect spawning choppers at the top of the mount chillad...its an open place and shootout without a police chopper is not fun (my opinion) in gta v every part of map had buildings

You were able to hide easily. Cops ai is not that bad but very skilled

You need to think now before using a weapon. Back in SA, you just used everything that you saw. I rather have a though police AI and have to think before acting then shooting with all weapons.

Besides, it gives cop shooting a new perspective. Before having a shootout, you use a certain weapon and the next time a different one.

It feels realistic and imo also better.

I agree with you on those things, except the driving one. I found it rather annoying in the old GTA's when you had to use X to accelerate. Why? Because there is no throttle control. At the time it wasn't noticeable, but going back and playing the old games is hard to get used to driving with a button instead of a pressure sensitive trigger. You can't cruise at a steady speed it's either pedal to the metal or coasting. With the R2/L2 or RT/LT you can control how fast you're going. That helps tremendously if you're into racing you can figure out the perfect speed for certain corners and what not. Most people just power slide in most games but that in reality slows you way down. Yes, I know I'm getting too technical about it. I do wish they would have given people the option though, that I will agree with. I hate it when games don't let you map the controls the way you want it to be.

Nope, you are wrong. The DPad,face and the shoulder buttons of the PS2 controller(X,Square,Triangle,Circle,R1,R2,etc) are pressure sensitive, and III/VC/SA/LCS/VCS makes full use of that feature. It lets you have control over the amount of gas/brake you give it,you have full control over the Throttle/Brakes of your car,the exception being LCS,where you can only control the amount the brakes you use, the throttle button is glitched, it works like an digital button, meaning it's only full throttle or no throttle at all. Probably a little oversight by R*.

PS: The PS3 controller Dpad/face buttons are pressure sensitive as well. Few games use it,though. For example,GT5 defaults the throttle and brakes buttons to X and Square, respectively.

R2/L2 on PS2 controller aren`t pressure sensitive. At least not as PS3 ones which have no plastic rims thus are allowed to be pressed to certain points. You can precisly adjust it`s pressaure. You can`t do that on PS2 controller.

The more i play V the more i`m realizing how f*cked up the wanted level system in this game is. Just don`t tell me it`s realistic because it`s everything except realistic. Because real life cops would have no problems following you into subway or waiting for you in ambush 1 week if necesary just for you to come out.

Ok, just think about this- if you even stand too long (few seconds that is) near some cop or retarded security guard you`ll get 1 or 2 stars (in cops case). Then they will start shooting on you and they won`t even try to arest you, just kill you. WHY? Because you stand near them few seconds while you was dialing f*cking cab.

Is that realistic? f*ck YOU ROCKSTAR DOUCHEBAGS!!

You accidently scratch a cop car, you get wanted level and deadly pursuit. You enter movie studio or golf course while not playing golf and you get 2 and 4 (airport) stars. So why should i even enter it? Oh because i have to in order to collect f*cking retarded UFO ship parts which are scatered around SA and laying even in sewer system and subway line- and don`t ask me how the f*cking spaceship parts got in f*cking subway because i have no idea. All i know it`s f*cking retarded and useless and if for once would some R* douchebags play this sh*t and go collect spaceship parts, letter scraps, nuclear waste and submarine parts, maybe they`d f*cking realize how insanely retarded, uselles and unrealistic all this sh*t is and they would remove it from it`s future games.

f*cking idiots. I am so f*cking pissed of, i spend 2 days just gathering those colectibles in order to get 100% and that sh*t just took me more time than 2 GTA games storyline missions to complete.

And why the f*ck the 1 star imediately escalates into 2 even if you don`t do anything? I`ve spend 7 hours shooting and escaping cops just because of those f*cking colectibles and stunt jumps.

But on the other hand you can shoot 50 cops, enter the subway, wait 2 minutes and exit it with the same car you have entered while be seen by cops and they won`t do nothing. Yeah that`s real clever, they totaly f*cked up this wanted level system in V. I have no problem if cops are more hard but let they do it right, fair and realistic- not being shot by cop or security guard if you stand by them for 2 seconds.Last day i was entered an airport as Michael (i purchased hangar) but i drove slowly by security guard booth because i was just dialing a phone. And guess what, i got 2 stars by that moronic security guard. For what? Because i didn`t ran through the entrance 100 mph and that retard felt threatened by me or what?

f*cking bullsh*t.

Oh and i just ran into another senseless bulsh*t which is the part of f*cked up wanted level system in V.

I just flew above LS golf course in helicopter and i got the message through my radio that said i`m flying above RESTRICTED AIRSPACE and i should turn imediatly.

I was like WTF? Since when is f*cking golf course restricted airspace for f*cks sake. It was similar msg than when you fly above Fort Zancudo except for the "shooting down threat" part. I wouldn`t be so surprised if some invisible S.A.M. rocket would shoot me down from golf course airspace after all the sh*t i`ve been through in V`s screwed up wanted level system.

Jesus f*cking inbreds.

You got all these great realistic looking weapons with all the extra equipment but you really can`t enjoy using them outside of missions because of the harsh wanted level system and agressive cops.

I know R* went for realism in V and that cops are agresive in real life too when after you but this is a GTA game after all and it should be a fun. And it`s not f*cking fun when you need to hide from cops after every shot you fire. Even in IV they spotted you right away when you fired weapon or beat down a ped but in V this is getting very irritating..You can even get a wanted level in the middle of f*cking countryside when you fire a gun at puma. And then you are turning around and you see that f*cking robocop coming out of nowhere.

What`s the point of making a car thieving and people killing video game when wanted level regulations are so harsh? And people are calling cops on you for stupid little things like bumping into them. It`s like they are all f*cking snitches or something.

People don`t call cops on you when you bump into them or tell them they should go f*ck themselves in real life, so whats the point of doing this in a video game.

That`s a real shame because you can`t even have some fun with all these great weapons without being chased by cops all the time.

I just hope you wont say again that you don`t have this problems because then i`ll really starting to think that my games are bugged with too many cops

I'm with you on this; to some extent. One complaint I have against the "aggressive" law enforcement is the car chases. In previous GTA's car chases

were a lot more entertaining due to the ACTUAL chase. In GTAV, however, police DON'T chase you as much as they should. They disappear behind you,

and then it happens to be that five other police cars are ahead. Instead of a chase, I'm doing obstacle courses on the Freeway; dodging oncoming police

cruisers. I don't mind the road blocks, I actually wish there were more of it, but all I really see is one police van in the middle with one cop outside shooting

his sniper-pistol. Those cops are accurate as f*ck..

don't get some of the cop health/damage comments about unloading entire clips into cops who don't die... put 1 in the head, they die. chest varies on if they got bullet proof armour or not but still die pretty fast

the spawn system is BS tho... worst part is how they spawn all around you

i can stay alive on 4-star pretty good in a good position with cover but sometimes that's hard because the spawn system is so unrealistic spawning cops all around you even if you should have a bottleneck or protected rear

and i wish cops mostly just spawned behind you at your last known location... the way they always random spawn in front of makes it so impossible to outrun, you just gotta play pacman with the cones on the radar or find a tunnel which sucks

but that's more of the chase system....

i'm fine with the combat system, i love the shootouts in gta v... but the chase system is horrible

Exactly. And at least someone on here who is being honest on how 4 and 5 stars are actually f*cking hard in V. Most of the people on here goes like; "oh i don`t have problems at all, i can easily evade 5 stars and kill all the cops" kind of bullsh*t.

Yeah that spawning thing infront of you is anoying as f*ck. And the bigest bs is that they don`t even attempt to do a safe P.I.T. maneur on you like they did in IV/EFLC, they just unrealisticly hiting your car like some kamikaze. Real life cops don`t do that when they chase you, believe me i`m telling that from my own real life experiences :santa:

But i don`t want to give the wrong impression because i like V very much, great game overall, awesome map, missions, cars, characters, weapons (except it`s sounds) and all. I enjoy playing it but these kind of things can give you a hard time.

I think it's really good to have more challenging wanted system.

In previous GTA games, it was sooooo easy to escape the cops, I've had to play like a my grandma to not escape them so quickly. So, besides making mandatory quick escapes in story missions, one of the main, most dynamic systems to have fun in the open world was absolutely pointless, unless, for some reason you were really bad at GTA.

Besides, I think there's gonna be a mod on PC for not making police chase you after you just taken an silenced shot in the middle of nowhere, and stuff like that.

I don't know guys - I honestly found the police to be a little too easy, rather than hard. At the maximum wanted level, the most difficult aspect of the pursuit are the SUV's with SWAT dudes trying to pop you - which they are actually pretty good at (and which they SHOULD be, seeing as it is the highest wanted level), but can be avoided once you get the hang of it... or are adept at the use of sticky bombs.

I agree with a post a few up about the actual 'chase' aspect, however. I don't understand how sometimes cops are able to accelerate abruptly when already travelling at near top speed... and then other times, they cannot keep up at all. I think the chase behaviour of police AI in IV was a little superior.

More on topic... I don't understand why you would want to use a gun if you have nobody to shoot it at?

Some of you still don`t understand what the problem is here even if i wrote it like 5 times already.

It isn`t an issue because cops are harder, the issue is their messed up spawnings and their pursuits- brainless crashing into you like some kamikaze. From such advanced AI (it is the most advanced GTA AI so far) you`d excpect a little more clever pursuits- pit maneurs and similar sh*t not just stupid intentional head on collisions.

Then the problems are f*cking helicopters which are faster than the fastest car in game so it is a pain in the ass to escape hellis. In regards that you need to actually outrun helicopters but you need to outsmart ground forces- all at the same time.

2 or 3 stars no problems but 4 and 5.?

And that doesn`t have anything to do with being bad at GTA. What exactly at you could be bad at GTA? Driving? After 1 year of permanent GTA V playing for hrs and hrs again i can`t really say i suck at it. If i consider that i don`t use any checkpoints in any mission, have 0 deaths&busted stats and i don`t use cheats.

The radar? You can observe the radar 100% but you still won`t lose 4 or 5 stars that easy.

The next problem is cops psychic abilities to find you everywhere. As long as you are in their area they will find you no matter what bush you hide in or under which bridge you sneak. You can outrun their searching area, swap the vehicles, go on foot and then hide into a bush- they will find you when they will stop their vehicles.

The only thing is like i said when you are at some high elevation where ground cops can`t reach you- then you can quickly shoot down the choppers and hide into a bush before next choppers will spawn. In that case they won`t find you if the bush is large enough. But once cops in cars/on foot are nearby, they will always find you except if you are lucky and they call off the searching before they come near you.

I`ve spent testing it for hrs and hrs so i know ho this is funkcioning.

And the last thing is the resons why you even get wanted level at the first place and 1 stars escalates into 2 stars imediatly.

But i mentioned it already in my previous post.

So this isn`t abought complaining about cops being harder than in older GTAs, not at all.

BTW- Patryq, nice avatar- my favourite game protag of all times. :colgate:

And nice choice in favorite protagonist MrVance, very nice choice. ;-)

Did you e-mailed R* about these problems? They always seem to listen to the fan feedback, they've even replayed to me a couple of times, so if it's really that bad, I'm sure they'll do something about it.

Yeah and RDR is my favourite game too. I hope they will do some sort of remake of RDR for new gen consoles. I still play RDR though, can`t get enough of it. I just hate the end which is f*cking tragic and the fact that one of the best game protagonists of all time dies and you`re stuck to play with spoiled and irritating teenager instead of the biggest badass in the west.

Back on topic, yeah i wrote to R* just as a suggestion. Once i`ve realized i aint the only one who find aforementioned things little disapointing for overally awesome game, i wrote to them. They may even bear these things in mind for their next GTA game. More fans write to them, more likely they will change these things.
