@militia, depends on where you are, outside of LS it takes (at least in my case that is) really long time before another hellis and units spawn after i destroyed the first wave. But when a tank spawns you`re a dead man, there is no hide from that turret.

I've drove my Tank on top of a moutain and experimented. Take down 2 Mavericks, out spawns 2 more immediately on the map. I am looking on the square at the bottom left hand corner, and immediately see those helicopters show up on my radar and with 3-6 seconds they are back to the same location as they were before. This is what I mean by scripted. Same outcome everytime. You can't win here, the cops always will be there, no matter how many f*cking pigs you kill. The same with the vehicles on the road. You take out an entire road block and immediately on the map some more red dots appear in front of you for the next roadblock. You turn down a road where no cops are, but as you progress down the road about 20 feet, red dots will appear in front of you yet again. The game is scripted to always have these people on your tail, you can't win.

I don't mind the agressiveness of the police, tbh, but it's still a bullsh*t wanted system. Like my one friend said to me in PM: "Rockstar created such easy cops in IV, thus now they are overcompensating for those cops in V and making them ultra accurate and relentless." The IV cop accuracy was a joke, but at the same time, that should be the system they always use. Leave the line of sight? Wait 10 seconds? Wanted level gone. In V it's rediculous how long they search for you. Once found on 1 star, it immediately is bumped up to 2 stars. Kill a cop? Now it's 3 stars. 4 and 5 takes a bit of time to get up there, but 1-3 stars is on you very quickly.

This is why I use the Save Editor in V to make my vehicles AP. Having an AP Lazer and AP Tank helps out a lot, studying police behavior and how they spawn and you can see the giant flaws the system has this way. I've even sat in my hanger with my Tank a while back and destroyed every cop car that came into sight where my cannon would reach, and immediately after 1 "red dot" on the radar went away, another popped up. V = Scripted Mess. It's that simple.

Fail number 173539251: I do like people who criticize the game, and I ACTUALLY agree about most of your points.

Most of the cheats I use are the Super Jump and Super run. Rarely I ever use the rest of the others such as God Mode and Lower Level Down. Only when I'm testing a new off road truck or anything similar.

I didn`t mean just you but everybody else.

I remember i did acutally use cheats in SA but only after i reached 100% just for screwing around. Cheats like ninja theme, super punch etc. But i never used them in a gameplay. They are good for messing around though.

@militia when you gain 3 or more star wanted level outside LS kill all the cops and shoot down the choppers then wait still, don`t move. You will wait few minutes before another wave spawns, at least in my case it`so.

But yeah, script is kind of buggy but then again which GTA didn`t have messed up scrypts.

In IV cops were very easy but still they spotted you right away when firing weapon, stealing a car or beating a ped because there were many of them. They weren`t hard but they were alot of them. Butat least other peds didn`t call cops on you like in V and that sh*t really sucks.

While I did used cheats before finishing SA, I never used one during the game/missions after I mastered the game. Plus those were only Never Wanted and Infinite Ammo to get a Proofed FCR-900 (Uh, Militia, what Proof elements the FCR900 had in the first Jizzy mission? That was ages ago, can't remember what was that) and Summon Hunter to get past lvl100 in Vigilante missions. Other than that, the rest was outside of missions really.

FCR-900 is AP (BP/DP/EP/FP) - Great vehicle for the collection. However, when I did SA and gathered 23 proof vehicles, I skipped the 4 AP bikes in the game (AP Sanchez, AP PCJ-600, AP FCR-900, and AP HPV-1000) and there also is a DP/EP/FP BF-400, but I don't use cheats to obtain vehicles. The AP Packer and AP Sultan are also cheat-based vehicles to obtain, but I won't do that in my saves.

That Jizzy mission also has the AP Boxville, which I obtained. Wicked method on obtaining that one. Thankfully there is people out there who dedicate their time in helping people like me and the next guy get these vehicles with guides on Youtube...

Btw, there is a Vigilante Glitch in SA to pass Level 12 without even firing a single bullet at any criminal. You just go into a Burger Shot or Cluckin' Bell to buy food and once you do that and return to the police vehicle, it says Target Eliminated and you're now on Level 2. If you continue doing that, you'll finish all 12 Levels in about 12 minutes, LOL

Two words:

Get over it.

If you were a better gamer, you wouldn't be worried about the wanted level. Surely the point of using the weapons is to gain a wanted level? YOU HAVE INVENTED A PROBLEM.

That is 3 but I see you're point.

Two words...... CHEAT CODES

I never ever use cheat codes. I actually hate it because it ruins your gaming experience.

lol no it doesn't. Playing with cheats doesn't mean you have to cheat during missions too -_- I promise you'd have a sh*tload of fun using invincibility+moon gravity+slow aim

just too much fun.

I can see where the OP is coming from. It's almost like R* doesn't want us committing crimes.

GTA V cops?........Realistic?

Robocops? Psychics?

If anything, GTA IV cops are realistic in some places!

Don't know if any of you have been watching the news lately, but that fugitive cop-killer hiding somewhere in the woods would be so f*cked in GTA V.

Next some of you will be justifying 1984 thought-crime in a GTA game.

I should have already foreshadowed some of your responses.

"Get overz it. I canz kill 8 cops with 1 bullets sideways using 1 foot no probs!!!11" And that's not really the point.

I`d like to discuss about another little "problem" that is quite anoying in V.

Before you jump me again :blink: i just wanna say that i like V very much, it is very good game with awesome map (IMO) but it got few little things that are anoying to the point that it my actually ruin your fun- my fun at least;

1.) controller layout- i don`t know about xbox 360 but on PS3 you need to drive and brake with shoulder buttons (L2 and R2) and no matter which controller option you pick, there is no option of driving with X and braking with square like it was in previous GTAs. Not only you need a hell of a time to get used to this (jumping from V to another GTA games even make it worse) but it isn`t so kind to the fingers as well. After few hours of driving my fingers starts to pain. And considering that the driving is a very important aspect of GTA games, that "little" problem ain`t so little anymore.

2.) the ridicolously silent car engines. You can turn your radio volume down to zero and your SFX up to the full and you`ll still barelly hear your car`s engine sound. If you are in some fast sports car and you can`t hear the raw sound of V8 screaming under the hood, well that sucks big time. Not only this is unrealistic for certain vehicles, it also doesn`t give you the sense of driving real sports cars. No matter which vehicle you drive, whether be bullett, banshee or that Trevor`s piece of crap, the sound of the engine is always too silent. It`s like you`d drive a freaking electricity car.

It`s a real shame because you have wide pallet of awesome sports cars with crazy top speed and acceleration like in no GTA before but you don`t even hear it`s engine growl.

3.) The same i wrote for vehicles also goes to the weapons. Great realistic looking weapons but with ridicolously unrealistic low shooting sounds. You need to have your audio and SFX volume up to the full and yet you can barelly know the difference between no silenced weapons and those with the supressor mounted.

Again it`s unrealistic as hell since everyone who has been firing any firearm, knows that weapons are loud as hell. The shorter the barrell, the louder the shot is. But in V all of the weapons without an exception sound like some airsoft toys.

It`s a huge stepdown from GTA IV/EFLC in this aspect. Not only it is unrealistic but it kills your sense of action when firing a weapon in V.

Maybe many of you didn`t even realize that but even if you remember the gunshot sounds from IV you must notice that something isn`t as supposed to be.

R* f*cked this up real bad. I don`t know what were they thinking by doing that but i guess someone didn`t do their homework on real life gun sounds before making this.

It wouldn`t be no problem for R* to simply record gunshots from every weapon at some firing range and then put it in a game properly. First time i`ve played V and when i fired my 1.st shot in that bank heist i was like; "wtf, either my game is bugged or my SFX volume is too low" but then i realized that`s it. Damn.

Those few aspects i just put out are considered to be little things but yet big enough to ruin your fun for 20 or 30% since driving and shooting are the main parts of this game.

I am sure at least some of you will agree on me with at least one of these aspects. We all are being used to it by now, we needed to but it comes to a problem when you go and play IV/EFLC again and then back to V.

Just don`t write me that i shouldn`t play V then because if i wouldn`t like it i certainly wouldn`t play it.

I`m not bitching because i love this game, it isn`t my favourite one but amongst the better ones. In every other aspects V is a step forward from previous series, but in these things is a stepdown. A huge one.

I wrote it on R* as well, hoping they will bear that in mind at their next series. And i`m not the only one who find this disapointment, there are plenty of threads on this in gtaforums as well. Many gamers have been complaining on V`s map but me, personally i think that V map is awesome, the best GTA map so far but these little aspects i pointed out are far bigger problem IMO.

Animals count as witnessess when you commit a crime, apparently. Everytime you are in middle of the desert and there is a bird flying, watch the fvck out.

This is serious. When no animals or people are nearby, there is no law. Even if a single bird or deer whatch you shoot a weapon, police will spawn.

Apparently, RSTAR fvcked up the AI, making animals possible witnesses

Nah, i wouldn`t think so. It is more likely that there are some hikers nearby and when they hear a gunshot they imediatly call 911. If they dial 911 if you stand in their way, they as sure as sh*t will dial it for hearing a gunshot. f*cking pussies.

AI in V is just fine, the most advanced out of all GTA so far i`d say. However, i never get stars if i go on hunting missions for Cletus.

The only threat are f*cking cougars, those critters are far more deadly in V than in RDR. It is instant kill except with Trevor`s special ability if you see a cougar first that is.

Btw, has anyone notested when you are wasted and you spawn at Paleto Bays`s hospital, try and shoot a stray bullet and some stafford terrier dog will come to attack you imediatly. Lol.

Well i actually took your advice about having some fun with cheats and i used it for my 1.st time in V. But not for a gameplay though but just for free roam fun. I quick saved before so after i had enough fun i just reloaded because i don`t intend to save with cheats on.

I had some f*cking fun. I even managed to get Lazer and Titan out of Fort Zancudo by using invincibility+explosive shots cheats. I quickly blew some tanks before another spawned and killed some soldiers than i hoped in Lazer. Then i evaded the missiles and lost my wanted level and i was having fun with Lazer for half an hour before my engine went to sh*t because i reached height limit accidently.

Anyway, i wouldn`t save him at hangar anyway because i used cheats.

I did the same for Titan.

It was really fun i admit. But i was kind of disapointed by Lazer- way too slow speed for such supersonic beast. And the fact that the height limit is the same for cropduster and Lazer is another bullsh*t.

But i had fun.

My point exactly. I see you know the guns.

I`ve been firing real life desert eagle, IMI, original, stainles steel in .50 AE caliber with HP ammo at the firing range when my friend lent me and man when you hear it`s blast you better wear damn ear protection otherwise you`ll be permanently deff. It sounds more like an explosion than gunshot.

After that you will find GTA V desert eagle (combat pistol) shot sound like a f*cking toy.

With all this advanced gaming technology they could do way better with those sounds.

I still cant get enough of m249 SAW sound in GTA IV TBOGT its so sick !

What i also noticed is that weapons have almost no recoil in Gta v and silenced gun shots are like its taken from james bond film

Aaannnnd pistol ejects rifle bullet casing.....i mean cant they add a different casing for each weapon like in max payne 3??? Cmon rockstar

You can use them as much as you want. All you need to do is find good hiding rampage spots. I played as michael, went to the scrapyard business place that you can buy: and there was a place I could take very good cover. So I started a good rampage. It was fun, it lasted like 2 hours. I lost all my bullets and stuff because it was so intense.

I agree with you on those things, except the driving one. I found it rather annoying in the old GTA's when you had to use X to accelerate. Why? Because there is no throttle control. At the time it wasn't noticeable, but going back and playing the old games is hard to get used to driving with a button instead of a pressure sensitive trigger. You can't cruise at a steady speed it's either pedal to the metal or coasting. With the R2/L2 or RT/LT you can control how fast you're going. That helps tremendously if you're into racing you can figure out the perfect speed for certain corners and what not. Most people just power slide in most games but that in reality slows you way down. Yes, I know I'm getting too technical about it. I do wish they would have given people the option though, that I will agree with. I hate it when games don't let you map the controls the way you want it to be.

Now for the other things you addressed yes, I do wish there was also a audio option in the menu to adjust the weapons sound effects along with engine volume. Riding a chopper for an example is quite rediculous sounding. When you rev it to where it changes gears it sounds right but while idling or cruising you don't get that roar of the engine that gives you that sense of power. The game is well done but that's where I do dislike the approach Rockstar takes with their games. Give people trailers and gameplay before releasing the godd*mn game so people can comment on certain little details people can point out. Now to your average person it doesn't matter but I know you and I can't be the only ones that dislikes those things. One thing I really didn't care for is the actual sound of the guns, they just sound weak. Not all do such as the snipers sound decent. The shotgun as well sounds kinda nice, but the handguns and assault rifles sound kinda weak. The sound of the guns is what also gives you a sense of power kinda like in Red Dead Redemption all the guns had that perfect sound to it with the blood splatters made you feel bada*s. To each their own, cops isn't my main concern the game is great it's just the small details that made me cringe in certain areas. I can live with it though.

@Muhhamed14, you got this right. That`s exactly how i feel about shooting sounds in V. I`d say the best and most realistic sounds are from sniper rifles and MG/Combat MG. The rest of it is too weak. Shotguns aren`t so bad but yet they don`t have realistic sounds since shotgun fire is a very loud almost semi explosion like sound crack.

Yes, particular weapons who have high recoil in real life are completely absent of it in V. Like combat pistol (i suppose it represents .50 AE or at least .44 MAG caliber). This thing has such strong recoil that you can`t even control it if you don`t have huge hands and at least average shooting skills. You won`t hit target even from 3 metres. But in V it has such little recoil that matches the real life 9mm or .40 S&W caliber recoil.

Try and go at amunation shooting challenge and pay atention- you`ll see that 9mm pistol actually produces more recoil than combat pistol which is absurd.

Really, i haven`t got many complains on V since it`s a great game but these are some of the things that are really screwed up. R* should do a better homework on weapons before making it`s sounds..

@TheMisanthrope, that`s a great post, thanks for your contribution.

You are right about speeding vehicle with R2 (PS3) being better in the aspect of controlling speed but it hurts the finger. But you get used to it very soon but there is a problem when you switch to another GTA game and vice versa.

There should be more audio/SFX adjusting options so you could customize every sound from weapons to car engines.

I hope they will do that in the next GTA. I wrote to R* my propositon and i found out i wasn`t the only one who find this little problematic.

This post is on point. I hate the cops in this game and i wish it was like gta4 system, where as once your out the cops area you were clear..

In this game they just spawn everywhere depending on where your moving and where your cursor/player icon is pointing, and lets not talk about how smart these guys are... you can hide in the best hiding place and they cops somehow will search for you even when they cant get to certain places. They go over board (literally) in their cars trying to catch you.. thats not real rockstar.

The super turbo boost their cars have, and how once they block you in its like you cant move. SMFH

I guess the cops in this game aggressive wise is really based of the cops in America now days ... a.k.a. trigger happy because once you move, they shoot.. even if you have no weapon drawn..

That`s right, they somehow search more realisticly but on the other hand they are unrealistical as f*ck as they are some sort of psychics with a f*cking x-ray vision..

And the bullsh*t some people say you can hide from them in the bushes or behind walls is indeed pure bullsh*t. I`ve tested all. You can switch 2 cars and climb on foot on some roof top but they`re still going to find you. That bush hiding thing only works for mountains, when you shoot down 2 choppers then quick hide in the bush before another choppers spawn. Then they wont find you but once ground cops are near they will find you no matter where you will hide.

Not to mention the only way you can outrun them at 4 stars is the high performance sports car and Franklin`s special ability. Otherwise you won`t outrun them at more than 4 stars no matter how many attention you pay on your radar or how many turns you do. Because of f*cking fast helicopters.. As for "hiding" i`ve already wrote how that works. I`ve spent testing it hours and hours.

And never mind those smartasses who keep saying; "ow you must suck at GTA then, i have no problems evading them at 5 stars" because that`s pure bullsh*t and they are saying that just to give impression on how good they are at escaping cops.. Cops are f*cking hard in V and when you reach 4 stars you`re f*cked unless you are near high mountain, sewer system or LS metro.
