GTAV on XBox one. Thoughts?

I'm going with XBone for two simple reasons:

- good experience with XBL services in the past

- default controller has long analog travel on triggers (great for car racing)

 

But I respect the PS4, they kept it gamer focused and put more in to GPU. I'll probably still grab one of these in 1-2 years when prices come down and there are some exclusive titles I must have. Usually I'd be an early adopter of consoles for the racing sims - but both company's disappointed me here - GTAV is the first title that'll motive me to buy either.

I know what you mean. This generation certainly isn't the graphical leap of previous generations, but what I think we can look forward to now are games that are truly epic in scale. GTA O with a living, breathing city will be a far more immersive experience than the weird 28 Days Later-style empty streets we spend most of the time in at the moment.

 

Im not desperate for innovation for the sake of innovation. Give me richer environments, more interactivity, more customisation and more detail because those things lead to deeper immersion, and I'll be happy.

 

 

I don't care about graphics. what I mean to say is pretty much all next gen games at the moment are more like cross gen titles* and don't really offer anything that wouldn't be possible on my current console

sure they improve on details like graphics or having more players online, but essentially they're the same.

a lot titles out right are coming out for both systems as is gta V and considering I have played it, and don't care for most other titles I don't see any reason to get a next gen console right now.

I do agree with you that we can look forward to some great next gen games, I just don't think gta V is the one for me considering I've allready played it to death and don't consider the improvements to be that important to the experience.

 

also the innovation thing is more a criticism of the gaming industry's lack of innovation in general (or the creative industry as a whole really)

which is more of a taste thing I geuss, but if you look at the figures the number of original IP's has steadily decreased over the years and continues to do so

mainly supported by the sales figures that seemingly punish creativity and reward the safe bets

so really it's all your fault, ALL OF YOU! XD

If you have played GTAV and Online on PS3/X360, there's no reason for you to buy another one for PS4/X1 when it's released.

 

What Rockstar selling is just updated graphic, denser traffic etc which nothing game changing at all. Upgraded AI? You don't know how 'upgraded' it is. So yeah, it's still an old game with upgraded graphic and written on another disc to be played on another console. Be wise, especially when you're low on money. Keep your money for food or other games.

 

It's not just graphics,more content and upgraded gameplay.

And the fact that GTA online will continue to evolve on Ps4/One/PC, while it withers and dies on PS3/360

I have bought an Xbox One, not just for GTA V, but for all games.

When you play Forza Horizon 2 (DEMO) you will be blown away. Graphics of most games are at least 4 times better, draw distance is way higher and there is so much more content and optional bigger maps.

I say, only buy it when you are ready to buy more games, but don't buy a next gen console just for one game.

I have 10+ games on my One, so I don't think twice about buying GTA V again. I already pre ordered it just after the E3 in Los Angeles ;-)

May as well answer, yes I do, also a mortgage I live alone, I have a car, Im waiting to see if my application for the rugby world cup next year is a success next month and could end up paying £500.

I have two cleaning jobs. Don't give 2 sh*ts for the next gen consoles at the moment...because I clean sh*t. The pay is sh*t. High prices are sh*t. Got to pay them bills too....which is also sh*t.

I play on the 360 atm, Im not going to fork out 400£ just to play the same game. Ill eventually get around to buying the X1 when most of my gaming buddies have got it tho.

I'll only move to next gen (XboxOne and PS4) until Xbox360 and PS3 becomes unsupported online and can no longer play GTAO.

 

Then I'll move to PS4. But I don't see that happening until another 4-5 years. By that point, PS4 and XboxOne should be more affordable.

With the impending release of GTAV for the XBox one I was wondering if any of you, who are currently playing online with the XBox 360, are considering whether it would be worth buying a new console in order to experience the next gen offering.

 

I really enjoy the diveristy of the game and find it very absorbing but would it be any more so on the new console?

 

My question then is, would you shell out your hard earned cash and ditch your 360 for a one? Or are you quite happy to continue as you are?

I already own an xbone that has gathered dust since titanfall hype died. In short yes I will moce but only if I can still play gtao 360 too

AFAIC, I will be sticking to 360 for the foreseeable future, barring some epic new game that I must have. (Which is highly unlikely).

 

I've gamed on my own dime long enough to know its better to hold out on new systems until they start taking more advantage of the systems capabilities.

 

Look at games from the beginning of 360/3's existence, compared to now. It would seem obvious but too many are:

and in reality have the least amount of clue.
