Tell me more about it. How is it related? What's wrong with my idea of pay to play for stable game with promised features implemented? Believe me, I will pay $60 for standalone Online game in a blink. But I won't pay a penny for what we have now.

How are heists by the way, making tons of money? It's still spring, you know. On Mars maybe. Lies about features are so twisted, that people already starting to forget them.

Rockstar never promised the stock market for online. It was never even mentioned.

 

Disappointment comes from people that have no idea what they actually announced for the game.

 

It's not true. Some guy here already pointed about before me that R* did promised BAWSAQ online.

And believe me, I do have an idea about what was promised.

 

May I remind all of you R* fanboys blaming community for over-hyping, over-demanding updates and glitching about something?

Here it is.

SP garage cars loss -> Online intro race glitch -> Online progress save failure -> Online character loss. It was BEFORE the glitchers, modders, hackers, over-hypers. Oh, and it was R* words about dynamic evolving world with updates. Not mine.

I'm still experiencing occasional timeouts on 100MBS optics with <15 ms ping and enjoying cloud related free roads on map really often.

Rockstar Never said the Stock Market would be brought online. I'm down for the casino though. That'd be fun, but the winnings would have to be high, of course the higher the more luck required. Also I expect the casino to be busy and not empty. On next gen I expect lots of people.

I missed this thread when it went up originally, but has anyone else noticed that the BAWSAQ appears to be frozen, or at least not moving very much at all? My Pisswasser stock has been stuck at $65.04 for months now.

Nope, I already addressed this. They are quoted on having planned on putting the stock market in the online.

 

To everyone who said the BAWSAQ was never meant to be available online, you're wrong. This quote was taken from the The Benz interview for GTA Online prior to its release.

 

We saw, in the recent gameplay trailer, that you could invest in stocks and shares as well - will you be able to do that too in GTA Online?

 

Yeah. You can go online, buy some shares in a car company, target that company's cars, blow them up so the insurance will replace them and the stock price will go up. Everything's tied in, the same as it is in single-player.

This...I have to comment on this comment.

 

It's funny how players are reprimanded for behaving like criminals, when they're literally playing as fictional criminals. Exploiting the economy is pretty much one of the fundamental things you could expect from people in the GTA world, especially when you talk about a supposedly persistent, ever-changing online sandbox version of GTA.

 

The game hilariously punishes you for indulging in chaos, something the series has kinda always been about. Sure, if you go in SP in any of the games and start going on a rampage, you have to deal with an increasing police response, but that's to be expected. The way Rockstar has swiftly shut down any money glitches, or anything that could possibly render their cash cards moot, shows their stance on this.

 

I mean, some of the measures make sense as a form of anti-griefing. The whole "Mental State" thing and whatnot. But we'll probably never see BAWSAQ hit online for the reasons outlined above. It's not only the player-fueled economy that would render it pointless, but also the fact that there's no way R* would allow anyone to make substantial amounts of money with the stock market because, as we all know, shark cards. I'm postive this line of thinking is the same reason we've yet to see heists. Rockstar didn't lie when they said "making money" was what the game was all about.
