Not because of cash cards - probably due to the unstable economy created via glitching. :)

This. You people have no one to blame but yourselves.

How should I blame myself if R* was unable to present a ready game on launch time that was already delayed? Tell me more about how guilty I am that somehow glitches were developed earlier than actual promised content.

There will be no issues if R* has actually released finished game in the first place. Working Bawsaq, heists, custom lobbies.

You can state opposite, but look at this:

— Delayed release on old consoles;

— Unfinished and unplayable (yes, I'm "day one" player and still remember that) game at launch;

Constant changes in payout system with obvious downtrend before last patch;

Yes, it's no coincidence that there are no heists and BAWSAQ because both things will provide players with easy cash-flow. And it's not our fault that R* decided to sell us same game twice on the borderline of consoles life without a discount.

I'm not that poor, but it's better to pay for quality product (like Online separately) than feed this stillborn Frankenstein pseudo in game economy poisoned by cash cards.

And... Are you ready for the best part? There will be no disappointment without empty promises. Nobody, absolutely nobody forced R* to announce impossible things.

Rockstar never promised the stock market for online. It was never even mentioned.

Disappointment comes from people that have no idea what they actually announced for the game.

Because

1. Rockstar never mentioned it ever being online

2. It would probably be a money glitch behind it.

3. A YouTuber would manipulate it I.E Mors Insurance or anumation nation #Domsarmy

4. WTF IS A GERALD?!?!

5. Disregard 4

So cut to the chase, Why do you think Rockstar is withholding the Stock Market for GTA Online? The only reason I can possibly think of is Cash Cards. Buy hey, Trading and investing in the stock market is sure a sweet thing. So would you guys love to see the stock market in GTA Online?

Possible... + they are just afraid that they can't hold back modders/scripter who obviously will abuse that system.

^ Pretty much why it isn't out.

Question, do you guys have an actual number of the percentage of people that buy cash cards? The amount of money rockstar generates in sales from them on a daily/weekly/monthly basis?

I await these answers, until someone can provide that information the "cash card" thing is all speculation no matter how convinced you are.

---- but anyway to answer your question OP there are so many things that are keeping Bawsdaq from happening, yeah cash cards are probably part of it but it IS NOT the only thing. You could make millions easily off the stock market in SP by going around destroying company trucks etc. How will that work on online? When will a well known youtuber who depends on GTA eventuallly create videos on how to manipulate the market and how will Rockstar combat it?...In order to make it work you'd have to adjust everything in GTAO, things will undoubtedly get more expensive if the stock market were to come (which I assume it will way later down the line along with way more super expensive things to spend the wealth you can obtain from it on)...

How would it crash? Why is everyone making this a huge deal? Just open the market so we can make some extra cash.

how is this relevant?

And why would you think they make such figures public?

pretty convenient to consider your point proven UNLESS some1 produces some non-existant statistic? (or at least not one accessible to us)

all we do know (at least the ones of us that pay attention) is that they seem to be pretty content with their "digitally delivered revenues" as they've decided to label their cash card schemes in their fiscal reports that can be found here http://ir.take2games.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=86428&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1930485&highlight=

even though it most likely includes digital copies sold and there's no separate figure for cash card sales

the figure doesn't increase by 51% because suddenly every1 decided to buy a digital copy of the game

EDIT: also that bit you added after I quoted

you can't affect stocks by blowing up certain company trucks in SP, they lied to us (again)

The only thing I can go of off is that cash cards made 60 million from start to March or January.

Stopped taking your topic seriously when I read that. It's obviously because they're afraid of glitchers etc abusing the stock market to earn billions.

To activate the BAWSAQ market online, just bring it up on your phone and punch in ↑↑↓↓←→←→BA

It will never happen in online. NEVER so deal with it. Rockstar never said the BAWSAQ would come to online. And the worst thing about cash cards... are the people bitching about.

How would it crash? Why is everyone making this a huge deal? Just open the market so we can make some extra cash.

Once upon a time there was an online game called The Spockmarket it was hosted by G4 TV and the startrek themed stocks would rise and fall based on what the players did and what happened in that night's episode of the original StarTrek. Players found a away to exploit the system and crash stocks on demand. To GTA's stock market, because the prices rise and fall regardless of you playing or not. One could make millions in GTA Online without even playing the game that is a very bad direction for a online game to go.

And... Are you ready for the best part? There will be no disappointment without empty promises. Nobody, absolutely nobody forced R* to announce impossible things.

Rockstar never promised the BAWSAQ for online trading that was something players promised themselves.

Pointless until the economy is opened. We need trade routes opened. Buying and selling cars clothes and guns to other players. Player ran real estate, actual businesses to run first like sp before we can have a stock market.

Baby steps guys you need the infrastructure in place first.

Good god I hope none of yous runs a city or even small village.

I don't know if this was ever said but what if u had to protect the stocks u invested in and destroy the ones u didn't.

Like say u invest in burger shot. Then u go around to all the cluckin bells and wreck them. They could make it so each investment would have a location and a where house. Maybe more then one location but only one where house. And those could be like gang attacks. The rest of the lobby would be alerted.

That would be some cool pvp.

It won't ever be activated in GTA:Online as it's uncontrollable. Players would find a way or conspire to make infinite $.

They are not putting BAWSAQ in Online because it's simply to easy to make money. In Single Player, I can easily increase my money by 50% a day, maybe 30% on a bad day or 100% on an excellent day. If they introduce BAWSAQ in Online, everyone who isn't retarded will be able to buy everything you can possibly buy within 1 week.

To everyone who said the BAWSAQ was never meant to be available online, you're wrong. This quote was taken from the The Benz interview for GTA Online prior to its release.

We saw, in the recent gameplay trailer, that you could invest in stocks and shares as well - will you be able to do that too in GTA Online?

Yeah. You can go online, buy some shares in a car company, target that company's cars, blow them up so the insurance will replace them and the stock price will go up. Everything's tied in, the same as it is in single-player.

If you were trashy, lazy, and incompetent, wouldn't lie for the sake of making money, too?

This is how I thought it was going to be implemented. Like I previously posted tho we will first need updates to add the businesses such as the Burgershot Cluckin bell rivalry you mentioned.

Once there are businesses we can interact with then they can start laying out the infrastructure.

honestly i think they can withold stuff like that(and heists) till every person that still got glitched money turned themselves in an is gonna burn in the bad sport lobby for a year

seriously, though i do not think it has much to do with it that it wasnt there at the start(thats again them being lousy at the release and such) and though i realy woud like it to be involved somehow in gta online i realy feel we do not deserve those things as a community :/

It probably will not be released because we could manipulate it without glitching at all. Buy a bunch of Ammunation stocks on Thursday (real time) play game all weekend, sell on Sunday. Invest with mors mutual and then go on a tank rampage.

It's in there for the single player mode since after you have completed the big score the ways you can make money diminish. While online virtually everything you do nets you $4,000 +.

Invest tacobomb blow up clucking bell , reverse the order than rinse and repeat. In single player it works but could you imagine a crew, or a community setting up a mass version, it would become insane, it would no longer be grand theft auto it would become grand theft accounting.

As said above everyone would have everything after a week of smart investment. By the time you reach rank 6 if playing smart you have access too the flight school mission finish all gold $225k+ get a friend too host high pay missions there another 200k -1m rank 20 survival's pop 30k per. Time

Now this is another important factor rock star ultimately controls it, and would you really want too invest 1m in a stock and then laugh/cry when said stock plummets do too a server reset or non announced update?

There is also way too much glitched cash out there so someone goes and buys 30m using said money and it just exacerbates the problem.

I think and I may be wrong, but it was active in the very first days of GTAO, but it got disabled as it was onle of the things that was overloading the servers, and if you think about it, if everything you do affects a share price then this has to be recorded and tracked and it just couldn't handle it so it was pulled.
