The most exciting thing about GTAV on PC

Yeah the mouse and keyboard combo is obviously a big thing but it's a minimum for a PC game anyway. Imagine if, for some weird reason, the keyboard and mouse were not supported (WTF?), I wouldn't buy it for sure.

There is also the big improvement on graphics. Imroved damages details and such.

It's so much like the old consoles version is somewhat heavily downgraded you know. It should be called "GTA V low". Next gen would be GTA V good", and PC "GTA V normal version", or just "GTA V", the right stuff, the true game. :) he he he.

Controllers are better for everything EXCEPT FPS' and MOBA's.

Off topic, but I've managed to dominate a team in TF2 using a controller (DS3), while the other team uses mouse. The thing with controllers are a lot of people can't control their right stick (a full push instead of a gentle nudge),

Your opinion, but surely not what most PC gamers agree with, most PC gamers do use a mouse and keyboard for everything except racing games, instead of saying that Controllers are better in everything accept FPS's and MOBA's please name all the genres that are better played on a controller compared to mouse and keyboard, all i can think of are soccer games and racing games. (Preferance does not mean better) So name genres that make sense in a PVP / competetive kind of way.

FPS's MOBA's AND MMORPG's are played better with a mouse and keyboard and MOST people will agree but ofcourse some people prefer controller in everything they do and i respect that. No reason to go all defensive because PC supports bothe and i am not someone who will force my way of thinking into other people their point of view. BTW you seriously think a controller is better for mmorpgs? There is a reason why consoles dont have many mmorpg's only shooter mmorpgs as far as i know. ~ Interesting...

Racing games / Soccer games < Controller in my opinion

Everything else < Mouse and keyboard in my opinion

Games with a mixture of bothe controller and mouse / keyboard < PC in my opinion, best of bothe worlds.

You must be really good with a controller or you have played against very bad gamers.

Someone who is good with a controller vs somebody who is good with a mouse will be dominated, controllers have less acuracy with the analog sticks and have a so called deadzone aswell.

Some people are used to using a controller and are bad at gaming with a mouse, those people say a controller is better for competetive gaming. BS, better for them ''Yes''.. But in reality, no.

Edit* I do respect your opinion and people who prefer a controller still, this is simply a discussion not a hate crime xP

The most exciting thing for me is that I LOVED the photorealistic and film like graphics of GTA IV on PC WITHOUT any mods. Just maxed out. So my dream was to play a graphical updated version of that game with obviously a new story. By seeing the eye candy they achieve with the PS3 version I am drooling over how good the PC version all maxed out and at ultra would look like. The more realistic the better. I love the graphics engine Rockstar uses, it's like a way updated version of the rotoscoped movements of other games. Not even Watch Dogs can achieve such realism, sure they are eye candy but you still know you are playing a game...

All the aspects that affect the game performance.

By tweaking those we can have the best gaming experience; taking into account of what others mentioned too.

But, of course, the best is, indeed - the Keyboard and mouse combo, along with the best framerate your system allows, and the settings when you play something on the powerful machine.

Consoles definitely suck big time when it comes to using weapons and shooting, and even, in general gaming as well ( except may be racing )

PC Rules!

Controller wise: Mouse + Keyboard + Joystick! (Call me an idiot, but NO flying for me without, even in GTA.)

Other things: Mods, graphics. Period.

I thought most PC gamers would prefer using a controller. Mouse & keyboard reminds me of the early 2000's when I used to play Battlefield 1942. :/

It's still an ideal combination.

Left hand provides immediate movement controls.

Right hand provides instant and precise aiming.

For shooting, it's a brilliant combination.

But for driving I prefer analog steering and accelerate/brake controls. GTA mixes driving and shooting - so I tend to prefer the console version - but if all you wanted was free aim deathmatches, the PC should be pretty intense.

I don't get it dude! Its not a big problem if you just bind vehicle controls with "W,S,A,D" keys! You don't need a gamepad for that wtf! All you have to do is use your left hand for keyboard, adjust it so that the most needed key functions would be binded close to each other, having WSAD set te accelerate, decelerate, turn left and right accordingly, SPACE bar for a handbrake and such...If its still not clear put your thumb finger on a space bar, ring finger on a "A" key, middle finger on "W" key, index finger on a "D" key and then simply switch from "W" to "S" with your middle finger if you need to decelerate, instead of accelerating! Pinky finger might be reserved for something else 9I always end up putting it on "left CTRL" Its very handy that way! While your right hand is free for a mouse usage! You can turn camera with your mouse button and the same time you have complete control over your vehicle with your left hand! Simple as that! What is not handy about it, don't understand!...

It's more about being able to control how far you want to turn with a stick, while buttons only allow you to turn hard.

Its far worse to rely on sticks, because you have to always guess how far you should move your stick in order not to make the turn too sensitive! Its annoying and doesn't help to make your vehicle handle better! If you press the turn button on a keyboard there is no risk you'll press it too far, because that is just that! You either press it and the function is done, or not and nothing happens! Its easier that way, sorry...

I'm not that excited...just need something to waste my time on! I'm far from being excited! I was excited maybe two years ago, and maybe about month or two after that, but then...well! Lets just say i got tired of waiting, so that surprise element doesn't matter to me anyway...I just want some lasting open world sandbox game to kill my time on, because i'm bored with everything else...so that is just about it!

Or Ubisoft games, or EA games.

Well yeah, but when it comes to Ubisoft games or EA games that goes for everyone. PC players in particular should be distrustful of Rockstar. Apart from the recent re-release of GTA V Rockstar haven't really done much to screw over console gamers.

Are you going to whine about how bad it will be again?

Yes.

Alrighty then.

It's not going to be a port. It isn't. You'll see when it releases.

I just want to play on 1080p high settings with mouse and keyboard for aiming.

That's all I'm really excited for at the moment. And I don't care about mods.

...And what makes you think they are trustful? LOL Trusting someone and being excited about something is not the same damn thing...sorry if i burst your bubble kinda...Besides like i said many PC players are not excited about GTAV, but its a common knowledge GTA is the best time-killing experience, so that is why a lot of people wait for PC version and not because they trust R* and praise them like there is no tomorrow! LOL

Your proof is the thing called common sense! Its not a rocket science, if you followed recent release of trailers, speculations, rumors (that has heavy hints onto PC version of GTAV), then you'd know that at this point PC version is almost confirmed to NOT to be just console port! And the way how good NG version trailer looked (which led many people to believe PC version was used for those trailers) only strengthen that theory!
